"Lokesh says he entered cinema because of me; everybody has an idol, I had Dilip Saab " - Kamal Haasan

As Vikram is up for release this week, the excitement surrounding the film couldn't be more where thanks to the trend of PAN-India films, Vikram is now one of the most-awaited films in the Hindi circuit as much as anywhere.

The legend himself, Kamal Haasan came in the city and had a special media interaction recently talking about the film and other things.

Having had the chance to ask a question to the man, we asked him how not many know thah the germ of the idea for Vikram actually came from himself where director Lokesh Kanagaraj took it and decided to develop it. How does that make him feel as an artiste even today?

To this, the man answered, "If I have made a film, it will last atleast 10 years, otherwise I have made a very bad film. 10 years later, people should be talking about it, doesn't matter what genre it is. It doesn't matter how costly the film was or cheap it was to make the film. We can make an economical film but not a cheap film.

Even today, somebody said that we have seen hour Chachi 420 so many times. She was kind as she didn't want to say from my childhood (laughs).  That's a great feeling and the one that matters."

I was happy to be in Hindi cinema breathing the same air by the great Dilip Kumar Saab.

He added, "Mr. Kanagaraj keeps saying he came to cinema because of me. Everybody comes into the movies because of someone. I was happy to be in Hindi cinema breathing the same air by the great Dilip Kumar Saab. I never thought I would meet him but he came for Ek Duje Ke Liye, and I was blown away.

So now, when Mr. Kanagaraj tells me this and developed this story for Vikram, it just makes me happy."

Apart from Kamal Haasan, Vikram stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles while Soorya is said to be making a cameo as well. The film ei be releasing worldwide on 3rd June 2022.
