It did not sound relevant to my topic due to brevity and certain things like 'comparing generations' were not even in this post. It sounded more like mocking than a response to my post. Your reply below sounds more relevant.

Again as I said, you asking how people can watch & root despite the red flags, I gave an example that there are people who watch despite not even liking the leads & staying on for more than a year with the same show. My point was in reference to your thread only, that sometimes people dont feel the need to even like the show to watch it, atleast some of us like certain aspects of the show to continue to invest our time.

And I love how Abhimaan fans are allowed to police others "If you dint like any couple or a character or something, just don't watch it"? Viewers can do whatever they want.

Who are you to decide who can watch or what we can discuss? And this is a free space- I can discuss whatever I want. I didn't even mention Abhimaan in my topic but the fact that a general topic can rile out a group of fans is instead very astounding smiley36.

You know what. I'm done. Since Abhimaan fans only want this- Abhimaan is the best. All hail them. They are the greenest of couples to exist. Their romance is superior. Armaan is a green flag and Abhira has so much self- respect. No one can criticize them smiley41.

Okay, let me put this post in a better perspective. I think one of the reasons a certain section of the forum is responding with statements like what you mentioned, is because your post itself made it out to look like the people watching certain type of fiction & liking them despite the "red flags" you mentioned, somewhat made it seem unacceptable to you. You said - I could never look over these issues to watch the show. So does that mean that the people who do like the couple & defend it are wrong to do so, or are "unacceptable"? If yes, then the cross statement holds true that fiction is a personal choice, and you would not have any reason to judge someone based on their choices in fiction.

If not, then I feel anyone telling you so can be responded back saying that you just wanted to understand the opinions & were not looking to judge - a simple statement like that will definitely ease the discussion, rather make it an inflammatory one.

All along- I said that was my perspective and asked for differing perspectives. My question is a lead couple acceptable (to you) as long as there is good romance scenes? Then I shared my perspective that "I don't enjoy watching the romance scenes of a couple as soon as I notice red flags in the relationship. It all feels forced and superficial to me". I never said this group or that group was wrong. I did not make any judgements. I didn't even mention Abhimaan initially.

If you didn't realise, your friends and you would have gotten a proper explanation from me if I received equal respect and if there were clarifications asked. Your 1st reply did sound mocking and accusing me of judging you. Your recent reply is more clear. Then your friends subsequently accused me of judging, gaslighting and even editing my posts. Then i received policing replies "if you don't like the show, don't watch it". And i didn't even receive a sincere apology for being accused of editing my posts and gaslighting. Respect is a 2 way street.

Read through your friends' replies first and perhaps, you'll understand who made the topic inflammatory.

Exactly I'm doing whatever I want. Why are you policing me then?

Please read through my post again. I'm asking if a lead couple is acceptable just as long as there are decent romance scenes. It was a topic meant to ask for different perspectives. I know people have different opinions on what is acceptable so why can't I ask for opinions? Is this forum not meant for discussion?

I never took Abhimaan's name in my initial post. But if you look at look from the start of the topic, it is the same group of fans who have been accusing me to the point I'm tired.

Yes. People watch shows for many different reasons. ITV is not story based or acting based, no ITV drama is great or has good writing

You pick things you want to watch and just roll with it

Idk what show is this or what unhealthy attachment that a section has to point out people are hung over gen3. Arre Bhai how it's related to current topic? Stupid. Stick to post or maybe don't bother with bakwas vishesh tippani?

To answer the topic yes lmao. A mid romance between two good looking problem and lower section fully alive and just ready to burst and....iykyk 😏

A section of people somehow deviate the conversation to gen 3 for XYZ reasons smiley36

Yes, most fans watch it for the romance between the couple and they don't care if the leads' OG chara are destroyed or deviated. IMO however, the more the story gets butchered along with the leads' OG chara to the significant extent then you lose the interest in the jodi. In a serial, normally leads' chara graph can go up and down but makers need to balance it without making it impossible to see a future in jodi.

It's okay. I'm sorry if I came off rude as I have been accused of a lot of things today that I didn't do. It is not about screen space or romance of some couple. I find the writing really sloppy for most shows now days and YRKKH for the past 3 generations. It seems as though romantic scenes can erase all red flags in a couple that I was questioning if enough romance scenes = personally acceptable lead couple.

Okay, one - this is a public forum & there are no "friends". We may share mutual opinions, but I dont know anyone here personally enough to support or mock them based on an online interactions.

Also as I explained, like my post was taken in a different way by you, the same way your post also could have been taken similarly out of context.

Sure, sorry then. It looked a bit suspicious because all the replies occurred concurrently. But why not call out their behaviour too? My post might have been taken out of context, but it doesn't justify the rude replies or accusations I received.
