If they showed him sorting things without hurting vidya and then they show vidya behaving inhumanely with shivani and at that time abhira disclosing that vidya and kaveri were involved and he punishing vidya for her punishing shivani would have made more sense.

Even i Don't blame 6 year old abhir for supporting abhinav and akshara over abhimanyu as woh toh apne mumma se hi seekhega. What can we expect from a 6 year old child when his parents are feeding him poison against his real father.

But a 30 year old se i expected good decision.

But death certificate was fake. KP forged death certificate and got Mahav-Vidya married despite knowing Shivani is alive. Phupha is such an honest lawyer.
