Kuch bhi post banarahi hu tum log?I have seen some women in real life too who so passionate about their careers who have supportive family went to join job so soon after delivery.

Maternity leave is very very necessary but if I a woman said she want to join back her job as soon as possible is her own choice.its her own life.who can question that?

It's not undermining women in the society.

also abhira didn’t leave the baby the whole day..she went out for a few cases…so she’s easing into work slowly..it’s her choice..after all..so what..I know doctors who have their private practices and went back to,work within 2 weeks after having their babies..as their patients wanted to see them and they weren’t happy with the locum .. whereas other women who work for companies have taken. 6 months off….3 months paid maternity leave and 3 months unpaid maternity leave..So ultimately it’s the womens choice..nobody was forcing abhira in this situation..she made her own decision…

LOL I thought that’s what is going on here as Abhira choose not to take the maternity leave.

You are not Abhira, I was talking about characters and their impact on society, individual experiences don't impact society, not at large

I agree totally … it is not ego .. there is something called hospital leave .. Abhira went through caesarean.. is healing .. they have various functions in the house and they are showing she has to show superstardom by choosing to go to work

I had to quit my job after 1 month of baby leave because my leaves were over .. I was not well during my pregnancy ..I eventually started work after 18 months .. simply because I could not handle so many things at one time

They should normalise all these issues .rather than doing superhero stuff

Yes

I think it could be a good way to explain the concept of maternity leave because the track of going back to work immediately doesn't make any sense but I fear someone in writing department or say everyone in the writing department has some issues

I agree there are so many sexist things being glorified.

But reality is, more then indian men it's for women who constitutes major part of their audience.

How a dil is bad and unworthy if she speaks for herself or criticize them or behave rudely.

And this thing I have seen on IF too by women only. (In initial days) how Ab has no right to retaliate because she lives in poddar house or how it's not wrong to change one's name coz dadisa wants it. They were normalising it.

Vese show's writers treat every women same be it their so called fl or pl, they just want to glorify inlaws.

I remember being angry on Ru after she was behaving lovely doevy with Vidya after getting slapped.

Or how Ab forgot Vi's shraap and hatered.

They make it look like no matter how your mil is she's not wrong because vo maa h.

And the worst part is people enjoy it too.

@bold though Ab risking her life was something I disliked most but it was not to give 'ghar ka vaaris' but to give Ar 'only khoon ka rishta who don't treat him paraya.'

They were being illiterate and stupid .. if Khoon ka rishta is so important they should have opted for surrogacy..

They have pots of money .. thanks to itv .. even middle class folks have started searching for surrogate moms

Commercial surrogacy is not legal in India, I remember the thesis on the topic in Ghum forum

Maybe it is legal now, I am not aware of it

A woman first ignores her health and goes through every bit of pain to give birth to a child, even being ready for her impending death so that her mother in law accepts her husband.

Then within weeks of a difficult pregnancy when a woman's body heals, she stands up and is shown going to work because apparently a woman can do both

A woman can do both but we women have fought for maternity leaves, we are still fighting for voluntary leaves during monthly courses because women's health is the most ignored topic, giving birth takes a toll on a woman's body, it is okay to not want to work but how can they show it here?

They could have shown greedy dadi taking the baby with her and asking Abhira to work on the case but Abhira saying that she wants to rest for a while but if she rests, wouldn't she be less than ideal?

I hate how makers use female leads to undermine women's causes

Woman ignores her health to give birth. How will that even be possible. If only the mother is health the baby too comes out. If she can't take Care her own health How she is even going to give birth positively.

Right a woman takes weeks and months to heal after delivery but here it's only 15 days. After delivery it takes atleast 3 months for a woman to sit properly. Heal ki baari mein poocho math her every single lost energy takes atleast 1 year to come back not one day.

Maternity leave even if it's not her own firm these days woman do get 3 to 6 months based on their work place. Even men are getting paternity leave for 10 to 15 days so that they can stay beside their wife and kid.

Here abheera is working in her inlaws firm aise ek 15 days ka bachi ko leki baagni kya. Woh bhi now it's cold climate and taking a just born baby outside.

I am not an exception. In my profession at the career stage I was my maternity leave would kill all my dream job. I have several women colleagues doing the same. So before making post and thinking you are trying to address societal issues please be mindful about other people who are probably facing/ doing the same for themselves and to actually progress contrary to what you are suggesting.

I remember, another woman made a comment at that time why I didn’t postpone my pregnancy to avoid this and focus on careers without knowing my pregnancy was a miracle when I lost all hope of becoming mother. It hurts listening all these at difficult moments like that.

these Poddars are too backwards for surrogacy..they probably never heard of it.. if they call Armaan paraya when he’s madhavs blood son born from his first wife..what will they call a baby born from an outside woman 😂😂

The fact that maternity leave would kill your dream job, is the problem. It shouldn't happen, women should not have to pick one or another.

If we talk about it and normalise it, women wouldn't have to put their bodies at risk to work

You are helping my point, thanks
