I think it could be a good way to explain the concept of maternity leave because the track of going back to work immediately doesn't make any sense but I fear someone in writing department or say everyone in the writing department has some issues
Exactly.. watching today’s episode.. Abhira should have told the lady .. what would you have done if I was in labour .. as my baby is 2 months premature..
Looking at this case .. and Abhira’s pregnancy chart if things were going well Abhira should have been 8 months pregnant..
Yes she has a whole house taking care of her child .. and that’s what joint family is supposed to be .. she is not making food ., getting ajwain water from her mother in law .. and since she’s working in family firm she has the luxury of going to work for 3 hours and coming back
But in most of us case .. we get replaced ., i was not told to leave .. but i found it fair to tell my company I won’t be able to go back to work for quite some time maybe 6 months .. so they found a replacement.. in small firms people don’t have the budget to give 6 months of allowance to pregnant women
And since I was in HR .. I have known these bias and have to follow it… that it’s easier and more economical to hire men .. than woman because of paid maternity leave
If this issue was raised at 6 months I would have supported Abhira .. in reality they will show Abhira working on her own like Akshara during full term pregnancy and then doing everything later too for 5-6 years..
