Bold: With the kind of insults Kaveri keeps hurling at Armaan every other day, staying under the illusion that she somewhere loves Armaan seems like an overkill to me. Even when Armaan and Abhira were not in love, she was the one to point out to Vidya and Madhav how differently Armaan is treated at the house. It does not make sense to be oblivious to Kaveri's treatment towards him now. However, it is very much in character for Abhira to feel like she somehow is the only cause of Kaveri's hate towards him, even if its not true. This is a conversation they should have, better sooner than later.
she has pointed out that Armaan gets different treatment - yes, and she has called it out at various points but she has also been led to believe that its not deliberate but because he is the eldest kid and also because of the complicated dynamics of him being step son to V and the bio child of a woman Kaveri didnt approve of. so Abhira has been led to believe that joint family mein log aise hi gusse mein bakwaas karte hai but deep down they all love each other.
they showed Kaveri ask Abhira to fast for Armaan in mangala gauri recently. They showed Abhira overhear Kaveri apologize to Armaan for blaming him during Ar-Ruhi shaadi track because her entire grouse with Armaan is the existence of Abhira and she wanted him to be happy in life. It is also shown that its not just Armaan but all other kids who are secondary to Kaveri in front of Rohit who is her absolute favorite.
so Abhira has been led to believe that if it werent for her, he'd be well loved as before and all the current nastiness is only because Kaveri disapproves of her. but she cant leave him either, so only option is to earn approval of Kaveri- even just enough to go back to the way it used to be several months back
she also knows Armaan loves them all despite all these things he has faced. and that also matters to her. so unless Armaan says he is leaving for his own sake and not just for Abhira she will not be able to accept this decision whole heartedly.
