Chapter 17

Next morning Abhimanyu is getting ready.

Abhimanyu: Akshara where are you? I am getting late.

Akshara:I am here. Here is your coffee. You create such a ruckus. What happened you look tensed?

Abhimanyu: I have an important meeting. I might get late. Do not worry.

Akshara: ok, listen.

Abhimanyu: yes

Akshara: best of luck and kisses his cheek.

Abhimanyu: thank you so much. Bye tc.

Post lunch in Akshara's room

Kalyani: Akshara, here take this juice, nimi send it for you.

Akshara: thank you aunty.

Kalyani: and yes there was a phone for you on landline. I had called you but i guess you were sleeping. It was some Pooja.

Akshara: what did she say? Why didn't she call me?

Kalyani: your phone was not reachable she said. She said you guys have some reunion party at this address and hands her a paper.

Akshara: ok I will call her just now.

Kalyani: no, no she said that her phone isn't working so she was calling from the PCO and she will meet you their directly.

Akshara: ok then I will get ready.

Kalyani: ok.

Akshara thinks about calling Abhimanyu but then remembers he has a meeting. So she gets ready.

Akshara: maa i will leave.

Manjari: where are you going?

Akshara: Pooja was calling and said that we have some school reunion party.

Manjari: ok leave. You have been home since quite sometime now. It will be a good change for you.

Akshara: maa i didnt inform Abhimanyu. He had an important meeting and he might get late today.

Manjari: ok leave and take care of yourself.

Kalyani(on phone): I have done my part of the job, now its your turn.

Akshara reaches the address and thinks what sort of place is this. She starts feeling dizzy.

Akshara: whats happening to me? Pooja, pooja,where are you guys? Is there somebody here and with that she faints.

Somebody picks her up and Ties her to the chair.

Person:now you are finally with me. How I missed this?

In office the meeting is done and Abhimanyu has cracked the deal. He thinks to share the news with Akshara and calls her.

Abhimanyu: why is Akshara rejecting my called? Maybe she is sleeping.

Person(on phone): kalyani how many tabs you have given to her? She isn't waking up. Its already 11 pm.

Kalyani: i did what you told me to do. Why are you in such a hurry? She will wake up. She is with you only now. Now after this Abhimanyu wont let her step into his house.

Person: ok I will see, what I have to do.

Manjari: Neil it so late and neither Abhimanyu is here nor Akshara. I am feeling very restless.

Neil:I will call bhabhi, maybe the party is still going on and she might be coming back with bhaiya.

Manjari: do it fast.

Neil:her phone is switched off. Let me call bhai.

Abhimanyu(from the door): who are you calling?

Manjari: thank God you both are back.

Abhimanyu: both??? But I am alone.

Manjari: what do you mean alone? Where is Akshara?

Abhimanyu:she is at home only. Why would she be with me? In fact I had called her but she rejected it.

Manjari: no she is not here. She had some reunion party. You had a meeting thats why she didn't call you.

Abhimanyu: if she had a party why didn't she come back till now. And if she was getting late why didn't she inform anybody.

Nimisha: bhAbhi is not irresponsible, if she was getting late she would have definitely called and informed us. She always does.

Manjari: something is not right Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu: do you know with whom has she gone or where? She might have told you something maa.

Manjari: yes she was saying Pooja had called her for reunion.

Abhimanyu (on phone): Mr. Khurana i am so sorry, I called you so late but I had to talk to Pooja urgently. Can I get her number please?

Mr.K: ok I will forward it to you.

Abhimanyu(calls her): hello pooja, Abhimanyu here

Pooja: jiju why are you calling so late? Is Akshara fine?

Abhimanyu: what do you mean, isn't she with you?

Pooja: no why would she be here at this time.

Abhimanyu: she left from here saying that you guys had some reunion party and she isn't back yet.

Pooja: no jiju we had no reunion. You relax i will call someone else. Maybe somebody knows.

Abhimanyu: do it fast. I am waiting.

Pooja: ok.

Abhimanyu: where can Akshara go suddenly? Pooja is saying she doesn't know about the reunion. Then where is Akshara.

Pooja: jiju I talked to everyone but nobody knows a thing.

Manjari: Abhimanyu I was restless since evening. Dont know where is my Akshara.

Abhimanyu: maa she will be fine. She might be coming. Her phone might be dead.

Neil: bhai I think we should inform the police.

Kalyani: whats the need to involve the police. Akshara isn't a kid that she will be lost. She had left on her own will. She might be coming.

Abhimanyu(clenched his fist): remember one thing Kalyani Agarwal if i found out that you have something to do with this, I swear upon Akshara I won't spare you. And goes to his room.

Neil: mummy ji what was bhai saying?

Kalyani: beta he is angry. He doesn't know what is he saying? Rest all is fine.

Abhimanyu(on phone): hello commissioner (C) sb, Abhimanyu Birla speaking

C:yes Mr. Birla, all ok?

Abhimanyu:actually the thing is that my wife hasn’t returned home since morning. She had told maa that they have a reunion party but on conforming i found out that there was no such party.

C:Mr. Birla I think we should wait till morning. She is an adult. Maybe she is stuck in some work.

Abhimanyu: no it’s nothing like that. She always calls if she is stuck or something like that.

C:Mr. Birla I understand your concern but prior to 24 hours we can't do anything.Moreover she has left on her own.

Abhimanyu sits down on the floor holding his head.

Manjari: what did the commissioner say?

Abhimanyu: nothing maa, nothing. Maa why is it always me(placing his head on her lap). My heart is sinking. Akshara will be fine na?

Manjari: I am also not feeling good but everything will be fine. I know.

P.S. Where is Akshara and with whom????
