Actor Preity Zinta was recently caught in an uncomfortable moment when a group of paparazzi tried to enter her building premises to capture photos. The incident, recorded on video and shared by Filmygyan, quickly spread online, showing the actor visibly upset and asking photographers to respect her space.
In the clip, Preity is seen addressing the paparazzi firmly. “Excuse me, you need to stop this,” she said, before asking them to leave. The intrusion drew comparisons to a recent instance involving Alia Bhatt, who had earlier reprimanded photographers for attempting to click her pictures without permission inside a residential area. Both incidents highlight the ongoing debate around boundaries between celebrities and the media.

Her last major film, Bhaiaji Superhit (2018), featured her alongside Sunny Deol, Arshad Warsi, Ameesha Patel, and Shreyas Talpade. Directed by Neerraj Pathak, the comedy did not perform well, after which the actor stepped away from regular film appearances.
She is now preparing for a comeback with Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. The period drama, set during the Partition, stars Sunny Deol, Ali Fazal, and Shabana Azmi. The project also marks a creative reunion between Preity and Aamir Khan, as well as a fresh collaboration with Santoshi.
Meanwhile, Preity’s interaction with fans on X (formerly Twitter) also grabbed attention. During an Ask Me Anything session, she was asked which of her films deserved a sequel. She responded with Sangharsh, her 1999 psychological thriller with Akshay Kumar and Ashutosh Rana. “Maybe Sangharsh,” she wrote, sparking excitement among fans.
Many users supported her choice, calling the film “underrated” and expressing hope to see her reunite with Akshay. One fan commented, “This masterpiece deserves a sequel, and we are waiting for your reunion with Akshay sir.”
Directed by Tanuja Chandra, Sangharsh followed a CBI officer, Reet (played by Preity), who joins hands with Aman Verma (Akshay), a wrongly imprisoned genius, to stop a fanatic played by Ashutosh Rana. The film remains a cult favourite for its intense performances and unsettling theme.
