Chapter 15

Abhimanyu and Akshara arrive home. Manjari does their aarti.

Manjari: come inside and have lunch. We have just started.

Abhimanyu(making Akshara sit): I will be back.

Akshara: nimi how are you doing? Is everything fine?

Nimi: yes everything is fine, just that I missed you.

Anisha: bhabhi why was bhai looking so upset?

Manjari: he might be tired. He has been in the hospital since yesterday and hasn't had anything yet.

Akshara: what??

Neil:yes bhabhi, I had taken dinner for him but he denied saying he will have something once you are up and fine

Akshara gets up from the dining table.

Abhimanyu: where are you going? Sit and eat.

Akshara: but the lunch was prepared, then why this.

Abhimanyu: I have to tell you all something. From today onwards Akshara's breakfast and dinner is my responsibility as I am here only that time. As for lunch that will be managed by mom.

Akshara: but it’s not needed Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu: I have announced my decision and there won't be any argument on this.

Akshara(thinking): what is wrong with him? He didn't talk me throughout the journey from hospital to home and here also he has a gloomy face. And he didn't even eat anything.

Manjari:what are you thinking Akshara? Start eating, Abhimanyu has prepared this for you with so much love.

Akshara: Anisha prepare a plate for Abhimanyu, I will take it upstairs for him, how come he isn't hungry.

Akshara takes the plate and goes to the room. She climbs the stairs with great difficulty. By the time she reaches the room she is completely sweating and out of breath.

Abhimanyu(holding her): what happened to you? Why are you panting like this? Give me this plate. Sit down here and have some water. Are you ok?

Akshara: yes I am fine. I don’t know I couldn't climb the stairs.

Abhimanyu: are you in your senses or not? Why didn't you call me? I would have come downstairs. Thoda mujhe kuch bata dogi to kuch ho nahi jaayega.

Akshara: why are you so cranky? You didn't utter a word since we have come back and here also you are behaving like this. What is the problem?

Abhimanyu: nothing is wrong. Do you share things with me, that I will share things with you?

Akshara: I already told you it was my mistake that I didn't tell you anything. I did not want to bother you. Had you been at my place, wouldn't you do the same? So please stop this now.

Abhimanyu: I guess I would have done the same but now it's enough. Promise me that from today onwards we won't hide anything from each other, however minor or major the issue is.

Akshara: I promise and I am sorry.

Abhimanyu(hugging her): no it’s not your fault and whosoever is at fault will pay for it.

Akshara: leave all this. Eat this and mom told me you haven't had anything.

Abhimanyu: ok you take rest now.

Akshara: did you notice somebody was standing at the door when we were driving in.

Abhimanyu: nope I didn't see anyone. Now don’t stress yourself and sleep. I am going to the office.

Akshara: you too should rest.

Abhimanyu: no, lots of files are pending in the office. I will leave and if you need something, call Anisha. Bye and kisses her forehead.

Akshara: bye, come soon. She thinks who could do this to her and only one name comes to her mind Kalyani Aunty.

Manjari: Akshara how are you feeling now?

Akshara: I am better now, just a bit exhausted.

Manjari: where did Abhimanyu go?

Akshara: he said had lot of work pending so he left for office

Anisha: bhabhi, bhai was calling, its time for your medicine.

Manjari:I can't believe my Abhimanyu has changed a lot. You were always right Akshara. Your faith in him was correct.

Akshara: maa why are you crying?

Manjari:I am not crying, ye to khushi k hain. Ok now you rest.

Just then Goenka family arrives to meet Akshara and all three hug her.

Manish: Abhimanyu didnt allow anybody to stay in the hospital.

Manjari: Akshara you talk to them, I will send something to eat.

Swarna: Akshara how did all this happen? You were so critical and we knew nothing about it.

Akshara: mummy I didn’t understand anything, what could I have told you.

Aarohi: di why don't you tell jiju everything?

Akshara: Aarohi what should I tell him.

Swarna: stop it Akshara. Why do you have to be so nice? I know all this has been done by Kalyani Ji.

Akshara: mummy how can we doubt someone like this?

Manish: Akshara beta I agree with your mother on this.

Abhimanyu arrives home at 10: 30 and asks his mother about Akshara.

He sees she is sleeping so changes and goes to kitchen to prepare dinner for the two of them. He comes with a tray and places it on the table. He goes to her.

Abhimanyu(caresses her hair): Akshara wake up let’s have dinner.

Akshara: Aarohi let me sleep. I don’t want to eat.

Abhimanyu(chuckles): Akshara you might be hungry. I also haven't had dinner.

Akshara: see Aarohi stop irritating me. You know na what I will do to you.

Abhimanyu(patting her cheek): Akshara, Akshara..

Akshara: wait now I will show you and starts tickling Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu: Akshara stop, wait what are you doing and with that he falls across Akshara.

Akshara(wakes up suddenly): you?

Akshara(gets up and in that process touches Abhimanyu's nose): sorry actually Aarohi had come over today and I thought it’s her and looks down.

Abhimanyu(makes her face him): it's ok, it’s your right and now he deliberately touches her nose with his. Come let’s have dinner and then you will have medicines.

Akshara: I am not hungry and the medicine doesn't taste good.

Abhimanyu: I will not listen anything. You will have your dinner first and then medicine.

They have dinner and he takes the tray back and puts it in the kitchen. He comes back and opens laptop.

Akshara: you just now came from the office. Please take rest.

Abhimanyu: no I have to tell you something.

Akshara: what

Abhimanyu: I had installed a CCTV in our kitchen some time back.

Akshara: but why?

Abhimanyu: actually there was a time when we noticed that food used to disappear from the kitchen especially milk.

Akshara(starts laughing): but you never told me this.

Abhimanyu: nobody in the house knows. I had thought I would remove it but I never got time.But it’s good I didn't remove it at least now I will get to know who did this with you.

Akshara(panicks): leave it. How does it matter? I am fine now. Nothing happened to me.

Abhimanyu: what do you mean? You want me to leave that person who did this to you? And why do I feel that you are hiding something from me?

Akshara: no, what would I hide from you?

Abhimanyu(a bit angry): I am asking you one last time, is there something that you know and I don’t. I am going to find it out either ways, so if you want to say something, say it now.

Akshara: leave it no. How does it matter? It will unnecessarily create tensions in the house.

Abhimanyu: ok you don't want to say it, don't. And he plays the CCTV.

Akshara(pauses the footage): see leave it (holding his hand). What will you gain from this?

Abhimanyu: you don't have to say anything, don't. I am not going to force you but let me do my job. Don’t test my patience (removing her hand from his).

Abhimanyu plays the footage and is shocked to see Kalyani mixing some powdery substance in a glass of juice.

Abhimanyu: why would kalyani aunty do this with you and throws the glass from the table. He pins her to the wall tell me what is all this. You know everything right?

Akshara: please sit down and relax.

Abhimanyu: I want to hear the truth only Akshara. Please with blood red eyes.

Akshara: yes I had a feeling that Aunty would have done this, that’s why I was stopping you from checking the footage.

Abhimanyu(leaves her): but why did she do this with you? I want to know everything tumhe meri kasam.

Akshara: because she thinks everyone loves me and not Nimisha. She has been doing some thing or the other throughout this year.

Abhimanyu: and nobody told me anything. Everyone knows in the house except me. That's why Nimisha was happy that day when her mother didn't come.

Akshara: yes

Abhimanyu: that means she has tried to poison you before as well.

Akshara: no, no, she hasn't done this before. She used to taunt me or give me some work.This happened for the first time.

Abhimanyu: and the last time. Wait, one minute that means you didn’t slip in the bathroom that day and that mixer incident wasn't an accident as well.

Akshara(closing her eyes): no.

Abhimanyu(clenching his fist): I won’t spare her. But what made her do this today when she didn't do this before.

Akshara: maybe she noticed a change in your behavior and before this she always had this happiness that Neil loves Nimisha and she used to tell me that Abhimanyu doesn’t even look at you. Maybe she got insecure by your behavioral change.

Abhimanyu: and you didn't think it was important to tell me anything.

Akshara: I know how much you respect Kalyani Aunty and that's why I didn't tell you anything. She used to come for 2 or 3 days and I didn't pay much attention.

Abhimanyu: that’s it. Now she cannot stay here. She can do anything with you. He is about to leave but Akshara holds his hand.

Akshara: nimisha is pregnant, she will get upset. She is already upset because of aunty. Please don’t do this. Please for Neil. Please.

Abhimanyu releases his hand with a jerk and heads to the washroom. He takes a shower and comes out. He sleeps on his side turning away from her.

Akshara: Abhimanyu, Abhimanyu, will you not talk to me (with tears in her eyes).

No response from him. Finally as Akshara couldn't bear his silence she shifted towards him, placed her face on his face and her arm over his arm.

Akshara: please I can't bear your silence.

Her tears fall on his face and he closes his eyes. He wipes her tears with his freehand.

Abhimanyu: stop crying. You know I don’t like tears in your eyes.

Akshara(gets up and sits): I didn’t do anything deliberately. Then why are you upset with me. I didn't tell you anything because I know your temper.

Abhimanyu: ok now stop crying. Dr. has said that Mrs. Birla shouldn't be stressed.

He kisses her tears. Akshara closes her eyes and he kisses them too.

Abhimanyu: ok let’s sleep now. You are tried. He hugs her and they both lie down hugging each other. Akshara do you really want I shouldn't talk to Kalyani Aunty.

Akshara: yes definitely and I want you to talk to her normally like before. Not for anyone but for the happiness of this family.

Abhimanyu: this is her last mistake that Abhimanyu Birla is forgiving. After this I won't listen to anyone, not even you. Mind it.

Akshara: ok and kisses his chest.

They both smile and sleep.

How could akshu be so forgiving man...that woman literaly tried to make her infertile..and she is expecting her husband to forgive her..like what is wromg with her...she forgive ahhi bcz he was her husband and also bcz he made efforts to win her back..but this kalynai lady, she is a pest who needs to be eradicated

Yes did not understand, how Akshara can be so forgiving and others who know .........how can they be so quiet...........or is it they are still not able to come that Kalyani can do this....................Please update soon and hope all good happens soon...........

She forgave her but she shouldn't do this... It might have ruined her whole life

I hope Abhimanyu deals with it in his own way without letting anyone know about it. He can't risk her life.
