Yes, my opinions are more heavily based on post leap episodes, and I get that aarohi was 'brat' when younger but it can be excused as childishness and immaturity.

Thanks for the tip tho!

Aarohi:

Aarohi has faced clear childhood trauma, she saw her mother running after Akshara and then dying because of it in front of her eyes. At a such a young and tender age it is an extremely traumatic experience. The immediate resentment towards her sister is a natural response. It is often misplaced anger and guilt.

In most cases this decreases over the years but the show in the first episode itself made it quite apparent that her wound is still quit raw. As a result Aarohi has resolved to being academically inclined. She is an emotionally independent and ambitious woman who knows what she wants and works hard for it. She is competitive and clear headed.

Her bitterness towards her sister is quite apparent (thankfully saves her from becoming two faced) but is also hurtful and maybe even excessive. This flaw makes her human and emotionally vulnerable.

So we have an educated, independent, strong woman.

Akshara:

Akshara has the qualities of a typical FL. She is sweet and innocent. Has no apparent ambition but is clear headed. She likes her music and she wants to work for an NGO. However, she is also craving for her sisters love and approval. She also in like two episodes has let her self respect be crushed by her sister and yet continues to cling on to her. Get the hint and live your own life! she clearly doesn't have a. backbone.

The panic attack makes her vulnerable and in the need of protection, but good job for showing mental health is a very real thing.

The actress also comes across as a bit annoying :(

My question now is why is the strong woman always the villain? can men not love strong woman? imo aarohi would have made a better FL, as a character and the actress too is doing a great job.

I’m very disappointed that the heroine is not an educated confident strong woman…don’t know why we must get these weak female leads …I know they would like akshara to be the lead as it’s nairas daughter…but they could have made her the doctor…I would have loved to see some hospital romance and work clashes instead of this fall and catch and singing 🤦🏻‍♀️…but I prefer Arohi at the moment..we shouldn’t forget that the disgusting Manish has always said that akshara is his favourite…now which sensible parent or grandparent would do this..you can’t have favourites among your children..then you are instigating trouble between them,,. Arohi is karthiks daughter…she has every right in that house just like askshara and kairav,,.yet people on Twitter are saying she must get out as she is sirats daughter,..seems like manish feels the same,..it’s very sad,.🤷🏻‍♀️

like i said there is no denying that Akshara too has faced trauma (read my reply above) but I think there is an inherent bias towards Akshara and lack of empathy for Aarohi. I am just flagging out the substance behind why her character is like this. The fact that she has her flaws also makes her human, not a typical FL, strong and ambitious.

There is so much scope to her but makers are on the route to making her a villain.

sadly I think they’ll want to juice the love triangle and then fade her to the background…like they did Gayu.. but the actress playing Arohi is good so I hope she doesn’t let them do this. I prefer her to pranali…

@Indira,Akshara is educated...she completed her studies and now wants to get into social services. Its not that she is uneducated. Manish mentioned it when he spoke to both of them about marriages and boys etc.

It can be the other way round and in fact is the other way round. Aarohi just blamed Akshu for Sirat's death outrightly and asked her to leave and no on from family stopped her.As Akshu herself mentions in today's episode,Aarohi had everyone to wipe her tears but Akshu had none.Infact the whole family gets happy when her medical results came out and gets happy in her happiness and they scold or are angry at her only if she blames Akshu unnecessarily.

And Akshu never snatched Aarohi's rights either from family or Karthik(like how Aarohi was obsessed with wanting to be the only daughter of Sirat,Akshu could have also done that with Karthik)but Aarohi had no right to ask Akshu to go out of the house or go away from her family.

The only mistake Akshu did and is doing is getting obsessed to please Aarohi.

They should maybe introduce a good actor opposite Aarohi and start a parallel track because she has potential..

maybe a doctor at Abhimanyu’s hospital or a cousin or brother of Abhimanyu can make an entry..

Why does one need to be doctor to be considered educated and ambitious? Akshara is well educated along with being well trained in music and vocals. And she wants to work for an ngo very noble pursuit and a unique goal.

Why does one having panic attacks considered to be weak? Akshara went toe to toe with one of the best heart surgeon "ambitious doctor" Far more accomplished then arohi and yet she is weak because she has panic attacks. It's 21st century people can we please not call mental illness a weakness.

A degree is part of a person but a person is more than his/her degree. Caring and kindness doesn't make someone weak it makes them better. Being vengeful, egoistic, selfish and bitter is not being emotionally independent.

Arohi was selfish even before any trauma occurred to her and her mother has enabled her to treat akshu like shit from the day she was born And even took promise from akshu to let arohi treat her like shit even after she dies by "apni behan ka dhyan rakhna"

Akshara is not clingy she went away from her home because of arohi and only came because kairav tricked her. The only fault she has is not reprimand arohi for all the nonsense she speaks about her.

I did not mean the bratty part, but that both sisters lost their parents and suffered trauma, not just one like you said in the OG post initially. You had put the trauma clause only in Arohi's case, not Akshu's. Just asked you to be fair in that space. Bas. Peace :)
