Hey Aani! Please do not apologize, I enjoy reading your well thought out replies so please write when you feel like it and when you have time, no compulsion ever! I am just happy that I can share my ramblings here and you all are kind enough to read and respond. 😊
thanks Doc 😊
That's a very interesting perspective, for someone to be a Romeo there has to be a Juliet...brilliant.
IKR? when I heard the line it stayed with me cause I realized of course - Romeo or Majnu in this case, wasnt immortalized/remembered for any other achievement except for being a lover - now who made him this immortal lover - Juliet/Laila did. Until he found his love he was a nobody who would have vanished without a trace when he died but his story got the recognized cos it became hers as well. She made him stand out and stand apart from the hordes of men. She made him shine and became a version of himself that had an unending ability to love, to fight for his love..to be the best version of himself.
IF you look at RKB too - post Shagun he stood tall in the materialistic world - he made a name, a niche for himself by becoming the tycoon he is now considered but on a personal level the man was a mess, he was ruined...he had lost even himself somewhere in the chaos that hit his life - she made him focus on things that mattered - showed him the way to set things right, let him know what he is neglecting and the effects of his neglect. She didnt only highlight the places where he was erring, she showed him how to set things right too.
By urging the father in him to look after his daughter, she urged the man in him to sort himself, his life out - when he did that he saw so much around him falling apart - as a son, a brother and a father - she made him realize how one person made him neglect so many. How in his urge to hide his pain and lick his wounds in private he too ended up hurting those around him and mostly his own little girl.
Raman started becoming the version of the man he always could be and should have been when Ishita came in his life.😳
You seem to be liking the titles, you also liked the benevolence of old age...reminded you of Baghban! Such a treat that you tie in movies to YHM 😊
as someone who writes I find titles very imp to be honest, its in a nutshell the gist of your tale - the thing you have to say - get it wrong and your tale cant be half as impactful as per me. Trust me sometimes I have sat to think of the perfect title for an OS - changed it numerous times until I had the - this is right feeling
Exactly! Raman became a biological father with Shagun but he became a parent. father in real sense with Ishita!
yep the woman who is biologically unable to conceive a child actually made him a father by being the mother his children needed
You know I am a sucker for music and poetry, and this just put me in a really good mood.
as am i good to find a like minded- soul, plus I could see the love of music you have because of the lines you put in that pic - one of my most fav tracks and lines - Main har ek pal ka shayaar hoon, har ek pal meri kahani hai
Aani I don't remember where but I said the exact same thing, Raman's heart is brimming with love, he just didn't find anyone who can bring out his love and his emotions. We all have the capability to love, we just have to find the right person to shower our love. And Ishita is that person in Raman's life you explored his soul and gave him the courage to be vulnerable again and open his heart to love and have the courage to express his love for his family, children and love himself!
exactly he had love brimming within him always but because he was rejected once he found it hard to get over it and in that state of mind he thought closing off himself is the best option not realizing that each and every kind of love - every mohabbat is different - the love of a lover, a father, a son, a brother of the same man are of different natures - for different people but since he thought he was rejected in the kind of love that was meant to be a lifelong thing - his words to a random man in a bar, whats wrong in expecting love from a woman you marry? its a lifelong commitment why cant a man want to be loved by his wife - he gave away what a marriage means to him in that moment. Its the biggest thing - the most precious relationship in life since its the one where you share yourself completely with a person - mind, body, heart and soul - no barriers between you two...in the rejection he faced he felt he was rejected completely as a man - his entire being was for naught and hence - he rejected others...now when a woman is accepting him - all of him - scars, wounds and all he wants her to find the goodness in him too - he wants to be able to give her things beyond his issues as well - he wants her to smile, to laugh...and he wants to love her without any restraint as well - but is unable to do so cos he is scarred by his past and sees its impact on her he cant move on because he doesnt know how to go about it
That scene in the car spoke to me for this exact reason, Raman saw in Ishita a partner, who will hold his hand through the turbulence of life, they will be a team! He found a wife, a lover, a daughter in law and most importantly a mother for his lost children in Ishita!
yep she is his other half😳
You know my mom always says, the bravest battle one fights in life is being a parent, it's a battle with oneself because that a parent fights everyday.
I am not a parent - heck I am single still but can understand where she comes from 😳

Bhanu brilliant post about the Raman the father and his deficiencies at being a parent and what an apt day to talk about the meaning of being a parent on Children's day.

Title for me is the snapshot of the thesis of your argument, since I am not a writer somedays I give thought to it, on others I just meh it on move on lol
The fact that the writer in you appreciates the titles, I will start giving more thought to them. 😊
