Talking about these similarities, Manjeet said, “My character Krishna, in Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi, reminds me a lot of Romi’s character which was played by Arshad Warsi in the film Hero Hindustani. Just like Romi, Krishna is a conman, street smart, witty, and full of ‘jugaad’. He’s the kind of person who always finds his way out of tricky situations with charm and cleverness.”

He further shared, “I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from Romi while portraying Krishna, and it’s been such a fun experience to bring that same playful, quick-thinking energy to life on screen. Playing Krishna with that essence in mind makes the character even more exciting and layered for me.”

Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi follows the story of two people with contrasting lives. Krishna, played by Manjeet Makkar, is a clever and confident conman who knows how to use his charm to handle any situation. Meanwhile, Khushi, portrayed by Divya Patil, is a hardworking girl who earns a living by ironing clothes in her neighbourhood. Fate brings them together in an unexpected way, leading to a contract marriage that starts as a deal but gradually turns into a heartfelt journey of emotions, trust, and love.
