It was an amazing episode. Really the dialogue writers are fantastic! The dialogues were so beautiful and meaningful. The outpouring of emotion and loyalty between these characters was just so heart touching. Was all this really part of a serial?

I must say kudos to the outstanding actors. Where does the actor end and the character begin?

It was truly an episode of closing the past and opening up for a new beginning. You have described it better then I would ever be able to.

Was it just last week when we were talking about "mera pati" and now we have moved forward to "mera Raman". He has truly become her Raman. By letting go of the past and moving forward he can be hers. It is what she wanted from him-to not be affected by Shagun. Remember that conversation sitting on the bench at the party. He indicated he was over Shagun and she asked "are you sure". And followed it up by talking about how she still affects him, how in hatred there may be some love, how he scolds her as if it is his right. She has witnessed how he has finally let go. By acknowledging that as the mother of his children he does not want others to think of her as a fallen woman because somehow, somewhere it will impact his children. By neutralizing his feelings he can now afford to be charitable. He can view Shagun objectively now because he himself is at peace with his own life.

The precap was expected was it not? How better to make sure the viewers watch at the new slot then to dangle a bit of romance. Very smart marketing I must say. I am guessing RKB is going to enjoy dusting off his romantic side a bit, and may I say, we will not mind a bit.

Hi there Mona 🤗

Totally agree with the dialog writers .. they were superlative in their approach tonite

The actor ..( one day soon i will dedicate an entire post to the 2 fab actors on the show Raman & Param) Raman ... Karan Patel .. he totally floored me ...
This man blended himself totally into the role .. there was a beautiful mix of Karan the person & Raman the actor ... & that made his performance brilliantly spontaneous & natural

At no point of time in the entire balcony scene did u feel that the actors were reading from a script .. u could not see a single jerk ... jerk of a shot being cut & the next shot being from a different angle .. & this was simply cause the actor was completely into the scene .. the flow was cause he was really saying things with full conviction & passion ...

Dunno when have i ever seen such superior acting from a male actor on Indian telly ... superlative ... he was ably supported by Mihir .. but i want to be honest for the full 22 mins of the show .. my eyes were glued only on Raman ...

I had a feeling that the past would be resolved in this episode ... & hence the focus would be only on Raman & Mihir ( 2 people who had held on to the past ) ... but i really did not or could not imagine that raman would hog my eyes so completely

Honeslty the guy deserves a standing ovation for his performance .. each time he switched between english & hindi .. his need to make Mihir understand .. his need to make Mihir move on & his need to Comfort Mihir .. & not to let him make the same mistakes he had done ... his PERFORMANCE JUST SCREAMT OUT ...

& The hightlight of the whole scene was ..when after the hug .. he turns sees Ishita .. turns his face away & smiles ... that smile said it all ... but i am not going to say what that smile meant ... IT WAS THE SECOND BIGGEST TURNING POINT OF THE EPISODE ...

Hoping some of u will come up with ur interpretations .. 😳

Thanks for the quick post ruby. Loved the way u explained about Raman's POV and how he finally let go of his past. Really didn't like everybody bashing Ishu. She is different, she was rejected because she could not become a mother, a half woman by whom Bala's mother, rejected by his brother, but she loves her jiju and sister so much, she is cordial to her jiju's mom...why because she is that way forgives everybody, wishes everyone around her be happy. So how can she let mihir be unhappy, a person who means so much for her and also her husband. she believed the story she had been fed, I think she was supporting Sanjana as woman to woman, as she was also a sister. yeah she should have trusted Raman or asked raman abt her, but the whole family was hiding abt mihir sister, and even raman would not have given a st reply, she understands how he would have reacted, he had told explicitly not to interfere in Mihir's matter.

And to everyone bashing Ishu for not trusting Raman, she was insecure, slightly shocked, she was given her KKHH moment, she had seen a different side of Ravan Kumar, she had started daydreaming thinking of those sweet moments, and bang sanjana told her something that rocked her newly found happiness and in such time people tend to make mistakes. so she went ahead for her sister's happiness who had told her abt her fiancee's hurt, abt the sister whom he had loved so much.

Abt bringing home Param, she did for her SIL, who was always blaming her, trying to create trouble, meeting her husband secretly. And to show his real face, he had to be close like the saying keep ur enemy closer than ur friend. She couldn't jst let her SIL to herself. Ultimately when she comes to know the truth, she would be devastated and this would the whole especially her mummyji, and also her hubby.

But yeah I feel that from now she shld should stop thinking abt others and start building on relation with her husband. But as ruby says, that step shld be taken by Raman, because deep inside Ishu is still insecure abt getting any mans love, because of her infertility issue.

Phew my longest post still date that too a light anlysis and expressing my POV, going against so many forumwassis who are a bit miffed with Ishu... Pls dont start bashing.🥱

Ruby...u really rock, ur the most sanest here on the forum, really really love ur posts,
Keep continuing it.

Shilpa

LOL LOL LOL Shipla .. i have always thot i am the craziest on this forum .. 😉😉

I dont blame a lot of people for the angst with the show .. most people normally see a portion of drama in isolation .. they just see the scene & react ... but no scene of such momentous happening is just a single scene ... it finds its resonance in the past episodes ..

When one saw the entire episode of fridays with the lens of Ishita & how this woman came to this point from Dec 3, 2013 .. then the whole episode will make sense ..

The writer of the show .. Sonali Jaffar created the character called Ishita Iyer .. she would probably have more understanding of that character than any of us . so we need to trust her .. there are a lot of times when we feel we ourselves have reacted to a situation "out of character" .. so why not the lead of a show ..

When u love something & start relating to it .. u think the characters have come alive .. thats the power of good writing .. but that also makes the content to be viewed without the lens of objectivity .. Raman & Ishita are characters of a show .. & in a show .. every thing has to be OTT & larger than life .. simply so that we as a viewer may connect to it ..

On bringing Param home ... i had asked a simple question who else would bring Param home but ISHITA .. no one in that household cud've taken that decision .. & if Param did not come home ..there was no way to either remove the scales of Simmi's eyes nor was there a way to protect Simmi .. As a brother as a parent ... would one knowingly send away their daughter (however blinded she may be) and a small baby to live with a man like PARAM .. & if Simmi was forcefully separated from Param it would result in RAMAN PART 2 .. there was already a man in that house who was suffering because of holding on to his past .. would one willingly make Simmi suffer with the same..

Ishita Iyer nee Bhalla is a woman who has a very DEVELOPED sense of SOCIAL AWARENESS .. she is truly a PURE & NICE SOUL ..SHE HAS THE CONVICTION OF RIGHT ... she has the capability to love ... she has the capability to love selflessly .. she has the capability to love without conditions ... its for this reason this woman was able to EMBRACE a CHILD .. it was for this reason this woman was able to marry a man like Raman who she hated & who hated her ... all for her selfless nature & her need to nurture ...
When u view her with this lens .. her actions though sometimes unpalatable .. one can still understand

Hello ..

My post is a couple of pages long ... its a bleddy long diatribe of what conspired ...

But to a lover of this show .. all one would need to do is see these pics ... it recreates & explains the magic of 22 mins perfectly

In the first row .. the fist pic of Raman's ... that was superlative moment in the episode ... the performance of the actor . the dialogs .. & the meaning were beyond brilliant

The hug .. the letting go finally .. the cleansing of two souls .. & then the normalcy that comes in wit ... how am i looking ? brilliantly captured by u

But finally the last 4 pics ... it spoke the LOVE STORY ...

It was YEH HAI MOHABBATEIN .. the start ...

Thank u .. i am humbled beyond words with the encouragement i get here ... 🤗

Lovely Post Ruby as always :)
I love the episode. Did not think anyone was Mahaan or cloning others. One needs to forgive and move on to live life peacefully. Its not easy but when done it is the biggest victory for oneself.

I only felt "bechari" shagun said by Raman was off. Rest of the dialogues were good. But somehow bechari word said by R to S was unrelatable to me. Forgiving is one thing I understand that but not that bechari word.

Thank You for this amazing post...
I truly look forward to your post after each episode as it enhances my viewing experience...
The way you get & interpret what the writer is trying to convey is truly wonderful...
Your posts really are compliment to the writer Sonali Jaffer..Some one should post them to her so that she can see how her work is appreciated and how you not only get it but also help us get it...

In the last night's episode when Shagun said I need to get married .. It was a bingo moment for me ...me a normal audience, did not have the capacity to connect the dots unless guided by someone and so thank u for that..
one more thing I loved in your post is that Ishita being Mihir's soul sister.. the divine touch is really so beautiful...

I would truly love for them to talk atleast now...I know if they keep the communication open then things speed up and this being a daily soap they need to derail that ...but I would want them to talk abt Sanjana's lie and how Ishita could believe that since Raman did not open up to her...and also the gap of 6 years after Shagun in Raman's life need to be filled too.. If only he opens up now & shares with her...

Today for the first time raman was able to let go of the anger of his past.
It was a beautiful episode . The maturity of the writing was very good.

I understand raman's dialogues and I applaud him for it. This helped ishita to let her guard down towards raman. It helped her to finally trust and open heart to raman.

What bothers me was the use of bechari - in Ramans dialogues.. Some people in the forum are predicting raman committing a mistake or going astray with shagun. It was always a given that adi would be used thy shagun to separate ishita and raman. But I can't see raman betraying ishita the way he was betrayed by shagun..

I love how you have portrayed the depth of Ishita and Raman's relationship which was shown in today's episode.
Coming to the point of Raman saying that Shagun deserves respect because she is the mother of his kids, seemed a little off, because not too long ago, Raman was insulting her as well - so it felt a little odd for him to see him saying that but it also shows how much Raman has grown as a person in these past few months.

Absolutely loved the conversation that Raman and Mihir had at the balcony - the dialogue writers did do a fabulous job with that and KP was phenomenal, as always. You can never take your eyes off him when he is in a scene, even if he just standing there being a spectator, because even that speaks volumes.
A special mention to Raj as well for playing Mihir's anger and hurt as well as insecurities about losing the father figure in his life - he had his shining moment today and deserved every bit of it.
Thank you for such a wonderful post. 😊

Hey A hope you or Ruby don't mind the butting in but I would love to give my two cents on the @bold part

Bechari - literally it translated means poor thing... which in context of sympathy or pity usually wouldn't apply to Shagun - but from where Raman stood today, it did.

Today when Raman was explaining to Mihir to let go - making him realize the importance of forgiveness, peace, closure - he said he has moved on, he has remarried, has a wife, kids, family and him...but from where he stands Shagun who left him for what in her mind were greener pastures today is desperate, lonely, isolated and clutching onto the last straw - anything that can help her, save her. She wanted the world but today her very foundations have been shaken, she is crumbling and she is asking you to help her regain that balance that may restore her... that she might not be thrown adrift now. Somewhere she is begging you without sinking to her knees - she is doing this because this is all she knows and has learned - to manipulate, play games but today those games aren't even helping her gain what she wants - a standing, a name, a position which might make those six years of her life valid.

From where he stands he sees Shagun has no one and nothing - not even Ashok while he has it all.

Today when he looks at the woman who broke his heart without anger, hate or malice - he sees in leaving him behind she left destruction in her wake but now, now that the anger, the fire is out - he sees that fire has made him a tougher person, a stronger person but what that fire has also done is somehow it has lead him to the one person who wouldn't have been in his life had it not been for Shagun leaving him in the first place - Ishita.

So in a way he was thanking Shagun for leaving him and seeing what a poor bargain she has made - he has all that today what she once craved but, BUT even that is slipping away from her hands like sand slips through the gaps between your fingers when you clutch it no matter how tight your grip might be, but he has gained something he always craved and hoped, something he always wanted - a woman he can respect, admire, cherish and love in Ishita - a woman he is proud to call his wife, the mother of his children. The woman he wants his daughter to take after when she grows up.

Remember Mohabbatein - the movie? The scene between SRK and Amitji towards the end - Jahaan se main dekh raha hoon aap haar gaye hai ...Aap zindagi ki saari laadiyaan jeetete chale gaaye lekin zindagi ke saare sahaare haarte gaye.

That line that scene is in sync with where Raman stands today - he has forgiven the one person who ruined him... but that person in ruining him has been ruined beyond repair by their own hands and while he still had hope, redemption and is mending - Shagun, she is all alone and stranded with no one and no where to go. Yes she has her mother, but that mother is also opportunistic and greedy PLUS that mother cant make an honest woman out of her no matter what, cant give her the place she wants or aspires for no matter what.
