This is the first time I am reading a post of urs in your thread. This is simply beautiful. Very deep n heart touching. I have described each one's feeling so so well.
N u r so right here!!
Shadows would have been a more apt title for me, I hope u don't mind me saying this. 😳 But then hum saath saath hain is just the aftermath when those chaotic shadows enlightened rather than stifled these characters. So why not look at the bright side. So ur choice of title is also apt!😊

It was a beautiful episode . The maturity of the writing was very good.

I understand raman's dialogues and I applaud him for it. This helped ishita to let her guard down towards raman. It helped her to finally trust and open heart to raman.

What bothers me was the use of bechari - in Ramans dialogues.. Some people in the forum are predicting raman committing a mistake or going astray with shagun. It was always a given that adi would be used thy shagun to separate ishita and raman. But I can't see raman betraying ishita the way he was betrayed by shagun..

LOL LOL LOL ... phew !!! .. how do people predict ... doubt Sonali knows that far 😉
Abhi tak Raman & Ishita have not even come into a real marriage ... their love track started today .. & people are already predicting separation ...

Since a lot of people have raised this point .. lemme ans this ques here .. WHO IS A BECHARI .. or what is a BECHARI ...

Bechari is someone who one PITIES .. a bechari is a beggar on the road .. a bechari is a downtrodden person .. a bechari is a person who is a unlucky person .. bechari is someone who has a murky future ...

When a person lets go of anger .. lets go of the betrayal of the past ... lets go of the angst of his past .. when that person could look at his past objectively ... he could look & say ... OBJECTIVELy .. she is a bechari .. she has a sad existence ..
There was no malice in him at that moment ... if he had any latent feelings .. he would say she deserves this she deserves to be ditched ... BUT today he proved completely ... SHAGUN was only & only his kids biological mother ... & for that status alone .. she was someone who he pitied ..

She was LOSt .. she was struggling to hold on to her life .. a life for which she gave up her everything ...

Now lets open the pandora's box ...

Raman is not Ishita ... he did not just forgive Shagun ... he saw the suffering ... he had suffered for the past 6years ... but what he saw today was SHAGUN suffering as well .. HIS LIFE WITH SHAGUN had travelled its full circle ...

Today the betrayed man saw ..his betrayer suffer ... when he sees this it was this man who could call his ex wife ... BECHARI .. leaving him for money & better life .. today her very existence was in question .. but he had moved on .. he got money & he also got the family he had always craved for ...

This man had WON BIG TODAY ... & in his win he could be BIG ENUF to let GO ...

thats the second lens to look at this ... whichever way u look at this scene ... IT WAS LETTING GO OF HIS PAST ...

U can choose to take both sides of the coin .. if u wanted a raman who would take the ultimate revenge & be avenged .. then u got that .. & if u wanted a raman who was big enuf to forgive & move on u got that as well ... that was the brilliance of that scene .. It catered to each & every palate of the viewer .. is it any wonder that i dedicated this whole episode to Sonali Jaffar the writer

I would urge u to look at the scene ( raman & mihir in balcony) once again & listen to each & every dialog with simply this thot in the back of ur mind ..

U did good calling Barjatya!!😆 And our forum badly needs it these days. I am among the ones who believe that once a fire spreads, one need a fire extinguisher pronto not gasoline 😆So I am with u in that!!
Like? Or I loved the post. It's been like ages that I haven't read one soul stirring post where feelings and emotions r aptly described.
Thank u Ruby ( I hope I too can call u by ur real name). I also look forward to ur readership.

The problem here is not writing but the way Ishra journey and transitions takes place. 😉 i m sure this is how cvs have thought of, obviously TRP race is the thing they need to take care of if they want to b in this business.

I get the point that Ishra had to sort out their past before moving ahead but Ishitas transition from Believing Sanjana an episode earlier to "Aap mere Raman hogaye ho" in yesterdays episode, I felt like they should have had something more to be chewed on there. Just by hearing Ramans changed thoughts about his past she concurred that finally he has moved on, what if he has moved on from Shagun but not thinking about Ishita. What if Raman was just saying all those things to Mihir just to calm him down n accept his past?

I hope that they show clarifications at least on Monday. Btw I liked Raman Mihir scene 😳

Hey there ...thnx 🤗

Oh yea serial Ishita is some one i could understand .. the book one i just couldn't get .. was she a good person was she a flawed person . what was she .. she craved for a kid .. but she alienated another kid completely ..

If u want to know why this rush happened will send u a PM ..

Go back & see the scene when Ishita comes back home after her talk with sanjana .. just see it objectively now that u know the outcome .. what is it that she is angry about ..
what does she not like ...

she is angry about the fact that RAMAN had someone in his past who he did not speak about to her .. she knew about Shagun .. & she thot this was it .. but here another skeleton jumped of the closet .. ITS JEALOUSY WHICH COMES INTO HER ...

What was the reason to hold on to anger or jealousy anymore .. Sanjana was just a hired actor by Shagun ... there was no SANJANA in Raman's past .. it shud be relief that she shud feel .. tell me as a wife .. haven't u ever felt jealous when ur man has even looked at another woman .. forget if ur told he had a past with that person ...

Now from Raman's POV ... what did he know of what IShita's angst was all about .. all he knew was that his wife was being hormonal & throwing tantrums .. he is confused ..
then he hears her saying Sanjana is Mihir's sister .. so basically she believed Sanjana was SHagun ... & it was very clearly shown that the whole misconception was deliberately created by Shagun

yea his wife was gullible ... but what was the harm of her gullibility ... what did it result in .. it resulted in HIM LETTING GO OF HIS PAST ... why shud he hold on to anger for his new wife .. who was simply gullible .. when he let go of anger for a an ex wife who actually ruined his life & was a schemer to the boot ...???? would it not be WRONG then .. would this forum not ask for blood ..

Why forgive Shagun & hold anger towards ISHITA ???????

But did the episode show that Raman & Ishita ended the day with i love you .. that would be a bit unpalatable or as u write in bold red ... the show ended with her acknowledging . this man is over his past baggage ... this was a man she could give her heart to .. hence she looks longingly at him .. & the moment he asks her what .. she looks away in a blush ... they have a road to travel now darling .. 😳

This was about new beginnings ...😳

BUT yea ... come monday ... we will see echoes of this goof up from ishita .. in some way or the other 😉

Ishita or mihir.. i am very happy to hearing Aaj Aap "Mere Raman" ho gaye ho frm ishita's mouth.. finally she knows that Raman has moved on of his past... and Raman his dilouge "I want a clouser on past" this one line says everything about his feelings... he is ready to start a freash and want to put fullstop on past.. he want a Freash start of his life with his wife as he said once that "He and ishita will make there new memoreis together" and Raman is already on the way to make new memories with his ishita there " Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" Moment a beautyful memory... which he wants to keep btween only two of them :) any third person strictly not allowed btween them... well as a Ishra fan i want many such cute sweet moments ishra.. and i think after this incident both raman and ishita ready to step forward in there relation... at the end i will say Karan Patel And Raj singh Arora had done great job brilliant perfomance by both of them.. but still Karan Patel Steal the Show with his OUTSTANDING Perfomance 👏👍🏼

Ruby your posts are enlightening, and very insightful. I wonder how you can think into such depth and link every track and moment in the show to another to understand what the writer wants to convey. Amazing 😊 👏

This post's title is apt. In totality every moment today made it seem like Hum Saath Saath hain.

Today's episode though was dedicated to acknowledging new beginnings and giving closure to the past. And for me this was one of the best episodes in the history of YHM. Because like Raman said, life came full circle.

For years Raman was so bitter about Shagun, so bitter about his past and what she had done to him. It hurt him to see his love tossed to the bin by her, because she wanted money. So he put in everything to earn that, just to know what difference it would make. Today he has it all. Money-fame, family, respect, happiness. Whatever he was abandoned for her, had come to him fair and square without him asking or pining for it. A woman had left him for money and another woman sticks by him for anything and everything but money.

Today he had indeed healed and moved on. A few nights before when on the bench outside a party event, Ishita had told Raman that he hadn't moved on, because he was still bitter. And that meant he still hurt and Shagun still mattered. But today it didn't matter what Shagun had done years ago, what mattered was what she would do today, if she didn't get her chance to move on and live her life. He was desperate to put the ghosts of past behind him, so that he could move ahead and embrace a new life.

He said it with such dedication that today everyone believed it- Shagun too and of course Ishita.

It was important for her to know Raman has moved on, because that is when her insecurities will leave her and she will put her everything into this marriage and NOT JUST - Ruhi ke liye.

She didn't merely believe this because Raman said so. She realized he had healed, Shagun didn't matter, what she had done didn't matter. She saw how Raman respected and regarded what she preached to him that he had taking a cue from her not only agreed to what she had told Mihir to do, but also successfully done what she had told him to do - respect his past for what it was and not let it ruin his life. Remember the good, see positive and move on. And in doing so - today he had indeed become Ishita's Raman.

Life did really come full circle - And that was depicted SO WELL by the writer in every way we see it.

It came full circle for the wrong - for Shagun.

It came full circle for Raman - Who got his revenge even without trying for it.

For Ishita - who had finally got her Raman.

And now Raman was leading Mihir to come to full circle too. Pushing him to leave the past behind and embrace a new life.

I wonder where the story will turn to now. Can only wait to see. But for now its amazing how every relation in this show was so beautifully highlighted today. And how they stood by as strength to the other. Ishita for Mihir, Mihir for both Ishita Raman and Raman for Mihir.

And the highlight was that one most talked about dialogue - Where Raman stood up for Shagun. And regarded her issues for the first time, with a clear mind and without any bitterness. THAT was the highlight.

Many people see it as a soft corner. BUT NO It isn't a soft corner. It's like you said in a post -It's pity. When we see someone make mistakes one after the other, when we're genuinely guileless people, we do say - Tum par daya aati hai. Because we know we can only feel bad for what that person lead him/herself too.

Today Raman can see for himself and acknowledge how life gave him all he deserved and how who was wrong was left with nothing. But because he had healed he didn't want Shagun to not. Because if she didn't move ahead, she would still be part of his life in some way or the other and that would come into the way of his closure.

I truly look forward to your post after each episode as it enhances my viewing experience...
The way you get & interpret what the writer is trying to convey is truly wonderful...
Your posts really are compliment to the writer Sonali Jaffer..Some one should post them to her so that she can see how her work is appreciated and how you not only get it but also help us get it...

In the last night's episode when Shagun said I need to get married .. It was a bingo moment for me ...me a normal audience, did not have the capacity to connect the dots unless guided by someone and so thank u for that..
one more thing I loved in your post is that Ishita being Mihir's soul sister.. the divine touch is really so beautiful...

I would truly love for them to talk atleast now...I know if they keep the communication open then things speed up and this being a daily soap they need to derail that ...but I would want them to talk abt Sanjana's lie and how Ishita could believe that since Raman did not open up to her...and also the gap of 6 years after Shagun in Raman's life need to be filled too.. If only he opens up now & shares with her...

Thank u Thank u Thank u Anoo ..

Can someone ask them to pay me for this as well 😆

Seriously .. i love what i am shown .. & i meet people here who love this show as much .. i love speaking about what touched me & why i liked it .. hoping it will resonate in the minds of other viewers & help connect better with the show ..
each & every comment i get makes me understand the show better .. & how the words of the writer were interpreted ..

So honestly i can only write because of u guys .. so thanx for the comments .. love

Lovely post Redwine 👏 And yes kudos to the writers for such a powerful episode. The powers that be in the show really go the full length for the finale of their tracks, don't they 😊 Phir bhalle the journey to that episode may be bumpy, end aisa karta hain ke hum dung reh jate hain. So a big round of applause to them for an episode that will probably go down as one of the best in YHM.
In addition to the script, it was full of stellar performances...from Shagun's desperation to Mihir's angst and Raman's closure, everyone did justice to their roles. After showing us an episode like Friday where Ishita was hellbent on making Sanjana Mihir's sister and it seemed we were watching a comedy show rather than YhM, we got a gem of an episode last night.

I loved everything about last night's episode from it's start. But of course the highlight was the balcony scene 😳 AndI also don't see any Mahanta in Raman's decision or his becoming an Ishita clone. He finally did today what he should have done years ago, accepted that Shagun and him were not meant to be and in fact that is what was best for him because he deserved better. Man proposes, God disposes. You cannot escape your destiny and yes life treats no one unjustly. Those dialogues given to Raman for two minutes describe the gist of what life is all about and the writers penned them down perfectly. How can you move on in life if you don't let go of your past. Raman now wants Mihir to do what he started to do post the party bench convo with Ishita. And Ishita claiming Raman as Mera Raman does not mean that she is responsible for this change. Raman has always been a good, decent human being. A fact that Mr Iyer saw before he married his daughter to him and Bala saw soon after he got married to his favorite saali/sister. It was only Ishita who had to realise that her Aam was kachcha and not rotten the way she believed him to be. And last night she also witnessed what a gem she's married to and why Mihir is so devoted to his Raman Bhai.

His forgiving Shagun was not out of some Mahanta but for the simple fact that people who do not matter in your life should not be given the power to hurt you also. So just let the past be and let it go. Quite a few people did not like his reference to her as the mother of his children and that he would be upset if she was called by indecent names. Well that is a humane thing to do, koi ghair ke liye bhi woh lafz sunna nahin chahe ga, yeh tu phir bhi uss ke bachchon ki maa hai! And yes like he said, that is an undeniable fact that she is the mother of his children. Plus now is the first time that Ashok has shown some inclination towards marrying her, so the fact that she was living as his keep for the last six years and was not bothered by it is redundant. She had no choice! So now if there is a chance and her family can make it possible for her, then being a brother Mihir will have to do his bit. Blood ties are like that...despite all your differences you cannot deny the cord connection. And it's not as if she hasn't suffered for her choices. Hence the use of Bechari by Raman.

The other thing that made me happy was the fact that nobody made an issue with Raman for hiding this. In my opinion this was Mihir's secret, his prerogative. And Raman was simply honouring his friend's wishes. So was glad to see that Ishita and Iyers saw it for what it was. Sorry about the length ot the response! I got carried away 😳

sophee and ruby beautifully put it together.

The true definition of "Forgive" is: stop feeling angry or resentful toward (someone) for an offense, flaw, or mistake.

the definition differs slightly depending on the dictionary but the gist of the word is same. No one is saying that Mihir and raman have to be okay with shagun's presence or be okay for what she has done, but it is important to lay the past to rest and come to peace with it. Today I saw a huge burden be lifted off raman's shoulder. yes he was over shagun a while ago but today he has finally come to peace with what destiny has given him.
