Firstly .. thank u all for contributing ur thots .. its made the discussion lively .. & whats more so many different POV's have come forth ...
Any creative work put forth has many different interpretations ... what connects with one may not connect with the other ... in this discussion .. we could fairly say 50% of the people identify with Ishita & 50% of the people don't .. in such a case where there is an audience the writer will try to cater ...

But just to continue the spirit of discussion ... heres another food for thot ... yes we have all blamed Ishita for putting Shagun on her marital bed ... now let me open another can of worms ..

WHAT STOPPED RAMAN FROM MOVING SHAGUN OUT OF THE SAID BED ???? he could've put his foot down .. he has never hesitated in being MEAN to ISHITA (even after an ILOVEU moment) he could've gone to RUHI's room carried her in their room & asked Ishita to shift Shagun to Ruhi's room ... yes one understands that Shagun was drunk out of her wits .. & to make her sleep in the living room where she would be exposed to all who would walk into the bhalla household in the morning was not acceptable .. but there were alternatives which RAMAN could've come up with ... WHY DID HE NOT .. WHY DID HE CHOOSE TO SHUT UP ???

Would love if u guys could throw this open for discussion ... i found this aspect much much more interesting ...

On a personal level i abhor the fact that Ishita the woman put her husbands ex wife on her own bed ... but from an analysis POV i want to wait & watch the Ashok scene before i would like to comment on it creatively .. simply .. coz .. Param's call to Ashok highlighted only one thing .> SHAGUN IS IN RAMAN's BED ... that was an interesting dialog .. & would like to see if the writer finally gives us their reason for this bed sharing thru the follow thru scene ..

Ruby ... you literally opened up a can of worms here ... of course it will be the eternal question ... why did Raman not stop Ishita from going forward ..

My interpretation to that will be

We are all grey characters. So, if Raman had put his foot down on this move, then I would have slapped the CVs because that will be butchering the character of Raman as well. He was being real. He hates the fact that his ex-wife is in his room, yet somewhere ... he knows that even with the word ex-wife ... the word wife is attached and so are its emotions which are a part of the baggage he carries, so howsoever he may try ..any normal person will not throw her out ...
Having said that, he will still be frustrated and be at war with his own emotions with her presence in his bedroom again.

Bhanu ... 🤗
Thank u for sharing a part of u on this thread ... in fact the writer in me got such an amazing insight .. u never know that what u write finds a resonance on which readers or viewers life ... it sparks what memories for a viewer / reader ... & what connects with whose heart strings ...

In the REAL world .. no woman who is SANE or is NOT PHYSICALLY/ or MENTALLY COERCED .. would ever allow the husbands ex to ever enter the MARITAL BED ... it shocks the sane mind completely ... its incredulity left me speechless at first sight ... as well .. till the analyser in me kicked in .. & i got dispassionate about the view ...
I am hoping that the writers give us the MUCH NEEDED DIALOG by the end of this track ... one dialog between the leads which puts RAMAN's status on his PAST LOVE CLEAR ... & the other talk on ISHITA's impulsiveness ... if this was a marriage & if she demanded from Raman that he discuss things with her ( aka Adi RUhi issues) .. then it was high time this goose ate that same sauce ...

Something tell me this track is actually on track ... its been beautifully laid out .. there have been more than their share of mistakes YES .. but thats also coz this is the first track which has so many sub tracks opened up ... to align so many tracks .. & to make each & every track impact the leads is not an easy job ... the stitch can sometimes come loose 😉 ... but i hope the garment stays ON ...

bhanu is also right., he will not do that being ex-wife but i think of another reason was more prominent that his focus was not shagun. his focus was it s Ishita who din care about his feelings and his wounds. he realized it s his wife s decision to hurt him knowingly or unknowingly what ever .

For him, last night she was not different from shagun or ashok who intentionally enjoyed his pain and never had guilt for it. it s not like ishu does not know who is shagun . still she goes and rubs her on his face. this is why he was hurt. while doing samaj seva she forgot her priority is her family and her husband and it s forbidden when it comes to woman who is reason of your spoiled life.

raman never tried to scratch her wounds infact when ever she uttered about her inability of conceiving, he always diverted topic, and by mistake when he blurted out he immediately realized and diverted it to lack of their physical relations, she can not be preggy. and never asked about even subbu. when he asked he was hesitate not because of only jealousy, he din t want to make her recall all that pain.

and rest is ashok-raman confrontation, you remember mumbai trip, adi was ill and raman stayed in shagun s room ashok got to know he accused raman, so same thing will happen here. so am not interested in that but i want to know this time what exactly words are instigating raman to get violent

Aani ...
honestly we should post in tandem .. its like ur beautiful way with words articulate whatever i wanted to say ...

I am glad we are on the same page on each & every point .. as u rightly put .. since u were able to view this dispassionately u could see the whole picture .. my first knee jerk reaction to the view was a What The as well .. but then the analyser took over & i saw it as 22 mins content on tv ..

Its ironical & a beautiful dichotomy .. two people who understand each other so well on so many counts ... are so wrong about the other on the MOST IMPORTANT COUNT .. 😉

Zeno ... like Ruby said ... it is indeed a can of worms .. so I beg to disagree with you in this case ... He will be angry from Ishita ... super angry but I do not think that in his sane mind he can ever compare her with Ashok or Shagun .. they are evil people ... Ishita is a gem .. and she has committed a mistake ... not a crime ... All I wanted to say is she has committed a grave mistake, one which is not at all acceptable ... lekin kintu parantu .. I cannot agree to your logic that she is trying to scratch his wounds .. she did a sensible thing in bringing Shagun a safe place ..

The major problem in the entire scene for me is miscommunication ... however, after reading Aani's post in this thread ... I somehow agree that it may well be the catalyst to a much needed confrontation between them where they finally talk without barriers ..
I guess Ruby also pointed in the same direction from her post but my cells refused to get up on a lazy Sunday ... and did not get the hint .. It took a late night post from Aani ...
So, Zeno, Aani, Ruby ... the eternal fairy tale romantic in me finally saw a ray of hope and I really really wish that CV's feel the same too ...

Yet at the end ... as a woman first and a wife later .. bringing husband's ex into the bedroom is still a hard pill to digest for me ...

Gosh ... wanna forget this fact and move on to the confrontation and something clche like Ham Aapke Hain Kaun ...

Ruby and Aani ... so I see that both of u finally one forum member say ... ok ... you know may be .. it was ok that she brought her home into her bed (the wife is me honestly cringes at the thought) ... but for the sake of the cliche scenes or a possible confrontation ... I concur my lord, that ok fine ... bring Shagun to the bedroom .. hell let her dance there for all I care ...

just get these two dumb souls to TALK ... like a TALK .. a dirty talk at that without any barrier of sanity between them ... because only then Paru's elusive hug will become an actual hug in next 100 episodes .

Beautiful post Ruby..
Love reading discussion in this topic.

Aani, reading your post, the coin fell in the place. Ishita does not see them as couple yet in true sense as she still feels Raman loves Shagun plus he keeps taunting her that he is not interested in her as a hubby even though his actions speaks differemtly. Also Ishita still has no right to sleep on their bed so it really wasn't her focal point to consider. It makes sense now from Ishita's pov. And this Raman understood hence his restlessness.

I found Raman very restless, disturbed that night. Of course he was but his restlessness seem much. Somehow seeing restlessness I was much affected that was not able to sleep properly that night. I know it was brilliant acting but somehow felt it real.

Bhanu I got you and I just gave examples of people who have hurt him from the show and never guilt for that . Defo she is gem I don't deny and she will never be like them but I can't agree that she has guilt for hurting him considering her statements. she does not realize that she has hurt him. He has too acknowledged that she has brought new life to his family and his daughter . He is hurt that such a gem he got for family and his daughter has scratched those wounds again who he got to heal only because of this woman. you know what I mean? the person who had become reason to heal his wounds has become reason to scratch them again!!! this is why he is hurt !! and he is hurt but she is not ready to accept it that she has done it.she keeps trying to justify that she has done is right.

I did read aani s post, yes TALK is needed but Ishu has brought that past to him to invite that talk!! yes it was coincidence but its topic of debate if she would have found some another family member made to sleep in their bedroom or not. TALK can be done without bringing past too.
she is woman but she needs to be selfish for her relations too.

of course bed is not their but at least respect feelings of friend you have acknowledged. I have objection on chhee too. chhee to friend calling him indecent is tagging him rapist despite knowing in which conditions he has landed on her bed. he called not to believe her hoor but it was she who initiated to express "disgusted " feelings.

Well aani don't agree with you

And it is true that she does not have right Of bed Perse but she had come that close to him where should realise what irks him and in this sense it was failure

And as far as chee again it was she who raised the objection and thats when he said what he said

They are friends and you should know what will hurt him after Ruhi fiasco
