Her infertility will always follow her even if Subbu married her it would have coz Ishita's deepest desire is to be a mother. Is that to say that she would not have work on her marriage there too.
More than the rejection it was her infertility the problem. She was over Subbu before the show even started IMO. Same with other men later. She was realist that no man or saas would her as she can't conceived
But then came Ruhi into her life. Ruhi helped her heal and she herself said that she gained from Ruhi more than she could ever have with Subbu. Raman came into her life, a man who is seeing her for who she is and not a reproducing machine...
But Ishita has been shown ready for matrimony with Prateek and nothing indicated that she would have not give it a full chance
Same when mihir was passing notes to mihika to say sorry and Ishita got it by mistake thinking it was Raman she was shown giddy with anticipation, a little shy, a little unsure and a little bit excited at the prospect of having a real marriage with him...and then they were only beginning being friends!!
Where are those feelings now?
As a woman even unsure of oneself, if said woman was to fall in love wouldn't she INSTINCTIVELY try to seek his attention, show little signs that she is affected by him, that she finds him attractive, that she enjoys it when he comes close to her etc (pomegranate has very well put it in one of her posts), a little shyness, awareness, anticipation? But she is passive and we get only chee
Ishita has healed Raman enough for him to try to work on their relation. Is it so wrong to expect the reverse too?

What has changed between the accident track & now in relation to the progress in their relationship ..
specially related to the past ...
Post accident was the first time they ever sat to discuss their past ... & that to sparked by Simmi & her love ... while in that whole 'OPEN" discussion Ishita laid herself bare ... & the following day she categorically told the words ... I AM HAPPY ... & SUBBU has no PLACE IN MY LIFE ...
Did Raman say anything about his past ... even though his past is very much part of his present & has been impacting the two from the moment they have met ...
Once again i am going to say it .. this is not about right or wrong .. this is not about who is more in love or more demonstrative ... this is not about who is expressing more or less ... This is simply that both of them need to work ...
This time its Ishita who is WRONG ... During the accident track .. yes in the end Ishita was made aware that it was ADI ... but did that take away from the fact .. she saw her husband walk out with Shagun in his arms ... & walk away from her without a BACKWARD GLANCE ..
Could he not stop & ask Ishita to accompany them ??? give her lame excuse of why Shagun was in his arms ...
has al that been resolved between the 2 ... NOPE .. they are both struggling together .. they are both erring together ... Like Aani always says ... he says I love you ... & then actually INSULTS her about believing him about it ...
In such a scenario .. what do u think shud be Ishita's frame of mind .. gestures like nameplate ... have been reciprocated from Ishita as well ...
Yaar dono ek hi mitti ke bane hai .. hence are dam soul mates ... they both have to work on their love ... hence the writers & makers of the show have dedicated the BIGGEST TRACK for REALISATION ...
YEs Ishita is wrong .. yes she will pay .,. yes they will have it out .. yes she will get reprimanded ... It has to happen ... did that not happen for RAMAN as well .. 😉
