Ishra FF- The Deafening Silence- Updated Part 5 (last) page 8

The scene begins after the drama that takes place at the Bhalla residence. Parmeet's truth is out and the police has arrested Parmeet and taken him away. Ishita is standing in the middle of the drawing room and Raman, Simmi, Rinki, Romi, Toshiji and Mr. Bhalla are also standing there around the room.

Ishita turns around and is about to leave for her amma's house when Raman says, "Ishita, Kahan jaa rahi ho"?

Ishita replies in a dead monotone, "Amma k yahan"

Raman,"But Ishita ab toh sab theek hai. Tum..."

But before Raman can finish his sentence Ishita look at Raman incredulously and says," Sab theek hai! Haan shayad aap sabke ke liye sab theek ho gaya hai per mere liye kuch thik nahi hai. Main jaanti hun ki humne yeh shaadi sirf Ruhi ke liye ki lekin uske baad bhi maine ek bahu or ek patni hone ka farz adaa kiya. Maine dil se is pure pariwar ko apna liya tha jabki Raman mujhe baar baar yaad dilate rahe ki main sirf Ruhi ki maa hun aur isse jyada kuch nahi.

Mummyji aap...aapko ko toh maine wohi jagah di jo amma ki hai. Jab bhi aapne mujhe kisi bhi baat ke liye taane marein tab maine usse saas ka pyaar samjh ke chup chap sun lia. Jab Simmi ko maine Parmeet ki jhoothi kahaani sunkar maine help ki tab bhi aapne mujhese kaha ki mujhe detective banne ka shouk tha. Maine kuch nahi kaha. Phir Raman ki land deal jab bigad gayee tab bhi aapne sabke saamne mujh per bahut chillaya per main chup rahi ki haan shayad maine hi Raman ka bahut bada nuksaan kar dia hai. Aur is baar bhi aapne wohi kia. Maine toh aapko apni maa maan lia lekin aap mujhe beti toh kya is ghar ka ek hissa bhi nahi maan payee.

Aur Raman aap... mujhe laga ki kuch time se hamara relation improve ho gaya hai. Haan ek normal husband wife nahi hai lekin phir bhi aap mujhe thoda samjhane lagey hain. But kitni galat thi main. Aapne hamesha mera sirf use kia hai. I'm just an instrument of gain for you. Phele Ruhi ki custody paane ke liye mujhse shaadi ki. Phir Shagun ko dikhane ke liye Holi per mere saath dance kiya. Phir Adi ko manane ke liye mujhse Adi or Shagun ko sorry bulvaya. Yeh paana..dikhana..manana...bas yehi saari cheezein hai aapki zindagi main. Is sab main aap yeh bhul gaye ki main bhi ek insaan hun. Mujhe laga ki kisi ko nahi lekin aapko toh mujh per bharosa hoga ki main aisa kuch nahi kar sakti. Pheli baar jab maine aapse madad aur support ki umeed ki tab aap chup rahein.

Simmi ne toh mujh pe haath bhi utha diya jabki aaj tak maine Simmi ka kabhi bura nahi chaha. Simmi ko apni behen jaisa mana aur hamesha uske saath accha behave kia. Aap logon ko mujh per ratti bhar bhi bharosa nahi hai na meri is ghar main koi izzat hai. Kya pata kal ko Simmi yeh ilzaam bhi mujh per lagade ki Parmeet aisa meri wajah se hai.

Kisi ne ek baar bhi nahi socha ki main itna bada iljaam kisi pe yuhi nahi lagaugi. Kisi ne nahi socha ki meri baat main kuch toh sachaai chupi hogi.

Lekin ab bahut ho gaya and I'm sorry. Ab aap sab mujhe maaf kar dijiye. Ruhi ki custody mere pass hai. Per main Ruhi ko uske pariwvaar se door nahi karungi or na hi aap logon ko aapke bache se door karungi. Main Ruhi ki maa hun aur sirf Ruhi ki maa banke is ghar main rahungi. Aaj se na main kisi ki Bahu hun aur na hi kisi ki patni. Na Raman, Simmi, Romi, Rinki ki problems meri hai aur na hi unki khushiyon mein main shaamil hona chahti hun. Main aap logon se request karti hun ki mujhe meri maa hone ka farz nibhane dijiye aur isse jyada mujhe koi umeed na rakhi jayen.

Toshiji," dekh Ishita puttar...ghar main toh..."

Ishira raises her hand and asks her to stop and says, "Mummyji main apki respect karti hun islie mujhe uur much khene pe majboor mat kijiye. Then she shoots a dirty look at Raman and says waise bhi kuch logon ko meri baatein lecture lag rahi hongi. Lekin baat is baar mere aatm-saaman ki hai. Anyway yeh sab tab tak jab tak ruhi badi nahi ho jaati phir main is ghar se hamesha ke liya chali jaoungi."

Raman is stunned to hear this and does not know how to react. He knows that Ishita is saying all the right things and that he has betrayed her by not supporting her.

Just then Ruhi comes running from the main door in her school uniform with a gift in her hand and shouts," Ishimaa dekho school main kya mila"

Ishita turns around and quickly tries to wipe her tears. She bends down and ask Ruhi," Kya mila, Ruhi?"

Ruhi, "Ishimaa, aap ro rahe ho. Kya ho gaya Ishima?

Ishita, "Ruhi, Ishima ko bahut dard ho raha tha lekin ab unki Ruhi unke pass aa gayee hai toh Ishima thik ho jayegi" She gives an adorable smile to Ruhi.

Ruhi, however, turns to Raman and says in an angry tone, " Papa aap Ishima ka bilkul khayal nahi rakhte. Dekho woh dard se ro rahi hai."

Raman opens his mouth to justify himself but before that Ishita says," Nahi Ru beta, aisa nahi hai, Papa toh bahut acche hai, woh Ishima ka bahut khayal rakhte hai."

Raman feels even more guilty seeing Ishita defend him in front of little Ruhi.

Ishita picks up Ruhi in her arms and goes to Ruhi's room.

Ishita spends the remainder of the day in Ruhi's room, helping her finish her homework and playing some games with her. Ruhi shows Ishita the gift that she had received in school for winning the Spelling Bee Competition and Ishita is proud of Ruhi.

Then finally Ishita comes out and sits at the dinner table just to feed Ruhi. She does not talk to anybody but continues to answer all questions that Ruhi has and feed her. Ruhi is telling everyone how she won the prize at the Spelling Bee Competition and that most of the words that were asked to be spelt Ishima had already taught her. Ishita, while listening to Ruhi speak keeps feeding her however, she does not eat anything herself . Raman notices this and says, "Ruhi aap akele hi khaye jaa rahe ho. Apni Ishima ko bhi toh khilao."

Ruhi turns to Ishita and asks her to eat," Ishima aap bhi khao na".

Ishita, "Nahi Ru beta, Ishima ko abhi bhuk nahi hai. Woh thodi der se khayengi." Everyone continues to eat dinner and nobody says anything except responding to Ruhi.

After dinner, Ishita and Ruhi sit in Raman's room. Ishita is changing Ruhi into her night dress and then ties Ruhi's hair in a ponytail while narrating Cinderella's story. Raman is sitting in his white pants and shirt on the bed and is observing them. Actually, he is observing every movement of Ishita. He can see how Ishita is putting on a face for Ruhi and how she is actually upset. He can hear her subdued tone instead of the usual playfulness. He wants to say something to her so that she feels better. He opens his mouth to call her but at the same time she looks at him. Her eyes are so dead and so expressionless and she gives him such a deadpan look as if he she does not even see him. This makes him lose courage. He instead turns the other side and lies down on the bed.

Ishita is telling Ruhi, "Ru beta, ab aap bade ho gaye hona islie good girl ki tarah apne room main so jao. Ishima aapko wahan sula degi". Ruhi also agrees to this.

Raman is feeling more upset as he wished that if they slept together at least Ishita would be near him and he would be able to talk to her after Ruhi sleeps. He knew that she was upset and he did not want her to stay away from him.

Ishita comes back to the room after she makes Ruhi go to sleep. She opens her suitcase and puts it on the table. She opens Raman's cupboard and starts taking out her sarees from there and putting it inside her suitcase.

Raman gets worried and asks her, " Ishita, tum kahan jaa rahi ho?"

Ishita gives a curt reply, " Kahin Nahin"

Raman," Toh yeh sarees kyun suitcase main daal rahi ho"

Ishita," jab aapke mann main mere liya jagah nahi toh cupboard main kyun de rahe hai".

Raman, "Ishita please. Chillao, Ladaai karo per aise mat bolo. Please baat karke issues solve karte hai na. Ruhi ke liye hi solve karlo."

Ishita does not say anything and continues to put her clothes in the suitcase. Raman is looking at her with agony but she does not even look at him. Ishita then takes her suitcase and starts going out of the room.

Raman." Ishita, kahan le jaa rahi ho suitcase? Kya kar rahi ho?" Ishita does not respond and she is so angry that Raman does not think it is a good idea to follow her. He hears the main door close and open in 5 minutes interval.

Ishita has gone and kept her suitcase in her amma's house. Raman has been pacing in his room as he does not know what he should say to Ishita so that she at least clams down enough to be able to sort the issues out.

Ishita walks into the room. Raman notices that she has changed into her nightdress. She comes and takes the pillow and comforter from the bed and goes to sleep on the couch.

Raman decides he has to talk to her so he stands right in front of her and says," Ishita mujhe baat karni hai". Ishita just turns the other side and pretends to sleep. He keeps taking her name but she does not respond.

Raman is hurt and is feeling truly guilty. He knows it is his fault. He thinks maybe he should give her some time. He will drop her to clinic tomorrow and try talking to her on the way. Maybe she will calm down a bit over night. He goes and lies down on the bed though he knows that he will not be able to fall asleep easily.
