Wow that was wonderful! I love how Ishita is standing up for herself and not just accepting everyone's apologies. I hope they show this in the show as well. They really need to make Ishita more strong in this respect. She forgives everyone too easily.

Absolutely loved this! I hope they show Ishita reacting in a similar way in the show instead of showing her forgiving everyone and everything going back to normal. It's high time the Bhalla's realize Ishita's importance and accept her wholeheartedly as part of the family instead of being nice to her if and when the necessity arises.

Part 3

Ishita's eyes were tightly shut but sleep was eluding her. The events of the past few days kept replaying in her head. She could not believe the amount of trauma that she had suffered over the past few days. Tears automatically started to roll down her eyes.

Raman could see her face in the night lamp and he knew she was crying but he knew that saying anything would be futile as she would not respond to him. But then she was right in behaving with him like this. He had let her down. He had not even considered what the true facts were and had just endlessly shouted at her and not supported her when she needed him. He could not bear to see her like this.

Agreed that this marriage was a compromise but he knew in his heart that Ishita and his relation had progressed and she was Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla even though they did not share the relationship of a regular married couple. Raman vowed to make renewed efforts from tomorrow and to apologize to Ishita first thing in the morning.

The both drifted off to an uneasy sleep after a while.

Next morning

Next morning, Raman woke up with a start. He had decided to wake up before Ishita and go out and get her favourite Idlis for breakfast before she woke up. However, when he woke up Ishita was not on the couch and she had already folded the duvet and arranged it neatly.

He thought she must be in the bathroom getting dressed. He decided to get up and check. The bathroom door was wide open and nobody was inside. Just then he noticed Ishita coming from her parent's house all dressed up and ready. He found it odd that Ishita went to her Appa's house to get dressed.

He decided to talk to her and apologize just as he had determined last night. But she did not even acknowledge his presence and went straight to Ruhi's room. She did not come out for a long time. Raman sat in the drawing room pretending to read the newspaper while waiting for Ishita to come. He was very uneasy. The Bhalla house was never this silent. Toshiji and Mr. Bhalla were awake but they were sitting quietly in their rooms. Mr. Bhalla was not even watching TV. Romi was still sleeping while Rinky had left early for college without eating breakfast. Simmi along with her daughter had gone to their relatives' house in Patiala to take a break from all this and sort her mental state out. It's like with the disappearance of Ishita's smile, the happiness of the entire family has been drained away.

Ishita came out with Ruhi all dressed up for school. Ishita cheerfully said." Ruhi, aaj Ishimaa ne aapke liye aapki favourite noodles banaya hai tiffin ke liye. Aur abhi aap breakfast main idli khaogey. Ishimaa, khud khilayegi aapko."

Ruhi nodded excitedly. Hearing Ishita's voice Mr. and Mrs. Bhalla also came to sit on the breakfast table. Toshiji immediately started asking Ruhi questions but was indirectly trying to engage Ishita in conversation.

Toshiji, "Oye Ruhi, tere ischool main parents waali meeting kab hai?"

Ruhi," Pata nahi, Ishimaa ko malum hai. Kab hai Ishimaa, batao aap?"

Ishita," agle hafte Thursday ko hai Ruhi."

Toshiji," Ruhi kya tum akele idli khaoogi. Dadi ko nahi dogi."

Ruhi," Dadi aap bhi lo na. Ishima ne bahut tasty idli banayee hai."

Ishita quietly passes the Idli box to Toshiji without reacting.

Mr. Bhalla and Toshiji kept talking to Ruhi and asking questions which would require Ishita to answer. But Ishita quietly kept feeding Ruhi and only answered when Ruhi asked her a question directly. This really upset Toshiji as she was not used to this behaviour. But she knew that Ishita is hurt and hence, no responding.

Raman came and sat at the breakfast table after a while. He told Ruhi that "aapko toh Ishima ke haath se khane mil raha hai. Aapki Idli toh jyada tasty ho gayee. Ishimaa ko bolo mujhe bhi khilaye."

Ishita gave Raman the coldest look possible which broke Raman's heart into a million pieces. Ruhi excitedly asked Ishita to feed Raman. At the same moment, Mrs. Iyer came and said," Ishu, tumhara tiffin clinic le jaane ke liye."

Toshiji, "Oye Madrasan, tumhein kya lagta hai ki hum apni bahu ko khana bhi nahi khila sakte. Le jaa apna yeh tiffin-shiffin."

Ishita," Thank you so much Amma, mujhe waise bhi late ho raha tha. Aap tiffin sofa per rakhdo. I'll take it and go." Mrs. Iyer did not say anything but kept the tiffin box on the sofa and left.

Raman wanted to explode. He wanted to hold Ishita by her arms and scream at her and tell her that it is not that his family does not care about her. He also cares a lot. He knows that she has been through a lot but unless Ishita gives a chance for him to make up how will he.

By this time Ruhi had finished her breakfast. She kissed her dadi and Raman goodbye and Ishita took her to school.

After they left Toshiji spoke, " Raman, fitte muh. Yeh sab kya ho gaya? Kiski nazar laga gayee mere parivaar ko. Itni acchi bahu mili aur hum sab uska khayal hi nahi rakh paye. Dekh ab yeh madrasan nahi manegi. Kiski kaali nazaar lag gayee. Udhar Simmi pareshan hai te ithe Ishita. Bahut dardnaak maut hogi is Parmeetey ki.

Raman puttar, Ishita ne toh is ghar main rehna hi band kar dia hai. Na yahan khati hai na samaan rakhti hai. Subah nashta bhi apne Amma ke ghar se khake aayee. Humein se kisi se baat nahi karti. Ab puttar tujhe hi usse manana padega. Teri biwi hai, ab tu hi sambhal."

Raman could not help it and a silent tear stained his cheek. He and his family seemed to have lost Ishita.

Loved it. I really want this to happen in the show. I want ishita to do the same and let them know how hurt she is. I want the whole bhalla's to put their effort on ishita to console her whole heartedly knowing her worth. Plz continue soon.
