THE TRUTH-2

Note: continued from The Truth: 1 on pg.3

"Vural you stay out of it", Erdogan warned him.

" Stop it I say", Vural tried to pull Kerim out of their clutches.

"The fourth fellow. The fourth culprit. Why the hell is he saving Kerim?", Fatmagul thought.

" I don't believe this. We had a hard time dealing with Kerim itself now you have to screw up things for us", Selim was exasperated.

"Why the hell are you hitting him if he hasn't done anything?", Vural yelled.

Fatmagul's world crashed down with those words. She had always thought Kerim to be her sinner.

Kerim revolted against the duo as he heard those words.

"Vural are you sure?", Kerim panted.

" Yes I am. I saw everything with my naked eyes that night. She blacked out and you sat near her for the rest of the time."

"He's speaking rubbish", Erdogan interrupted Vural.

" You shut up. I don't trust you Erdogan", Kerim pushed him behind.

Fatmagul's hands were shaking as she heard their voices. The truth was bitter and harsh. She was the victim but Kerim endured everything.

"Selim, why the hell did you keep quiet? Erdogan was always mean but you didn't have the guts to speak the truth. I wish Meltem gets someone better", Kerim had finally lost his cool.

" And coming to my share of crime. I did commit a sin by not stopping you. My mistake was I held her first. My mistake was my attraction turned into a bane for her. I liked her the first time I saw her.", Kerim cried.

"What's happening Fatmagul?", Maryam asked.

" I detested him for everything he didn't do", Fatmagul ended the call and went out walking.

"Where are you going Fatmagul?", she heard Maryam call her.

Life is cruel they say
Life is unfair they say
Why one forgets
Its not just me
Its everyone else...

They sailed in the same boat but they lived a half baked truth.

Beautifully Written Jhanvi. 👏👏
I love my Vural for finally pointing out the truth. ❤️

Fatma knows the truth now, and I feel like breaking Selim's and Erdogan's face. 😡

Brilliant. 🤗
I would too love to read something related to their consummation. 😳

THE TRUTH PART:3

Disclaimer: This is a continuation from part 2 of The Truth on pg. 5. You can find the first part of The Truth on pg. 3.

Fatmagul walked the road aimlessly. The conversation replaying in her mind. She wished she hadn't heard it. She wished she could go back and change everything. She wished she could just go and hug him.

His thought brought her to a halt. Yes, him. But where was he? She didn't know. He was getting beaten black and blue, but she was clueless of his whereabouts. The only ray of hope for her was the police. But what would she tell them? Her husband had filed a case against himself for raping her, got arrested, bailed and beaten? That was absurd. Who would believe that he was innocent? Yasrans would twist the things in their favor. Vural seemed to be a weak hearted fool who told the truth, he was an easier bait for them. It was only Kerim who would fall in the trap.

She started walking. She didn't know where. Surrounded by lush greenery, it seemed to be a forest. She started running. She noticed some water at a distance. It was a waterfall and there was a stream. She ran unfathomably. Fishing was her favorite pastime. So was his. She recalled how he took Murad for a boat ride even when fever had bugged him. Kerim was special.

Her feet started aching. She stopped for a breath and bent down pressing her stomach to reduce her cramps. Panting she stood erect and saw a blur image of a fellow standing at the corner of the stream. She took her feet to a walk. It was tough but her mind was curious and heart restless.

As she approached the figure, she noticed it was a man. He stood with his back to her. Wearing a black leather jacket he stood 6 feet tall. His hair was long, just like him.

She stood behind him.

"Kerim"

The figure did not answer her.

She pulled out her hand hesitantly and shook him by his shoulder.

The figure stirred. She was frightened. Her hand was shaking, when the figure turned and held it. It was him. It was her Kerim.

"You were so wrong. You did not trust my behavior. You thought everything was a play. What should I say? Even I was a victim. I showed you my real self. You did not accept it. I professed my love to you. You openly rejected as you needed a proof. Today I have given it. And see it has done wonders. You are before him", he stammered as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Removing her hand from his grip, she touched his cheeks to wipe away his sorrow but he disappeared. She stood there just like a statue. There was no one. She was hallucinating. Her mind was occupied to even notice her surroundings. Her mind created images and she painted them I'm her environment far away from the truth that was knocking her door.

Maryam was worried as Fatmagul had stormed off without a single word. Something was wrong, very wrong. Kerim's phone was unreachable. She paced the porch fidgeting with her fingers.

" What happened Ebe Nine?", Rehmi asked her as he played with his kid.

"Nothing. I was waiting for Kerim."

"Please call him fast. I want to go fishing", little Murad insisted.

" Sure, you will go. He'll come soon. Till then play with your dad", Maryam smiled.

As the father son duo went backyard, Maryam heard a sound of someone's steps.

She saw Kerim limping very badly. He was bruised all over. Blood flowing through his nostrils. The bas***ds had ruined his face completely.

"I had told you, they are not your friends. First they made you a criminal and now this.", Maryam was appalled at everything.

" I haven't done anything Apa", Kerim interrupted her.

He broke down and hugged her trying to lose himself in her embrace, just like a child.

"What did you say?", Maryam couldn't believe what she had heard.

" I haven't done anything", Kerim repeated.

Maryam was happy. She hugged him back.

"How did you get out? I guess its Munir. "

"Yea"

"Wait. Does Fatmagul know this?", Maryam asked him as he sat on the chair.

" No. I don't know. But when they were beating me, Vural had intervened."

"Well then she has heard everything", Maryam said happily.

" How?"

"You forgot to end the call"

"Where's Fatmagul?"

"She went off somewhere. I don't know"

"You should have told this earlier", Kerim got up despite the pain and ran to get his wife.

"Do you know where she is?", Maryam shouted.

" I'll find out "

Kerim ran like a maniac to get her back. He knew how the truth would affect her.

Fatmagul collapsed on her knees and cried ceaselessly. Kerim had married her as he believed he was guilty. But an evil thought crept in her mind that he would leave her as he was spotless. She mistrusted him and was now suffering for her judgment.

She felt a hand on her shoulder. As she turned her neck to the side, her eyes met with those familiar deep black coloured pair of mischievous eyes which seemed to pierce through her heart to understand its dynamics. The eyes though same were different. The eyes that were naughty and childish with Murad were now caring, deep and consoling.

Fatmagul stood before him.

"I know you are a dream. When I touch you, you disappear. Its only you who talks. You don't let me speak. The time you speak you make me cry. Why can't you be the same like the way you are with Murad and Rehmi bhai? I know you are my hallucination, so please go and don't waste my time. I want to cry so please let me.", she rattled.

" I won't"

"Why?"

"Because I love you"

"But I didn't trust you"

"I myself didn't."

"Don't trouble me"

"Am not"

"Go"

"I won't"

"Who are you?"

"Am not a dream. Am not your imagination. Am not false. Am the truth. I can't be with you the way am with Rehmi bhai and Murad. You are my woman. Am your man. Your pain makes me cry. Your joy makes me smile. Am your reality Fatmagul. Am Kerim Ilgaz."

"I don't believe it."

"Then touch me"

Fatmagul's hand was shaking as she traced his face with her palm. She felt his bruises. His skin had become rough coz of all the beating activities.

"Am sorry. I don't deserve you.", Fatmagul broke down as her hand rested on his chest.

" Why? "

"I always treated you bad."

"Coz I had become bad. In fact worst. I should have stopped them. Its all my fault."

"I accept your confession"

"Thank you"

"How did you find me?"

"You always get lost in this jungle"

They chuckled as they reminisced their last encounter at the place.

"But still. How?"

"Love"

"Will you teach me?"

"What?"

"To Love Again?"

Kerim placed his lips on hers.

"I will", he murmured under his breath.
