This trio is really messed up now.

Fateh cannot leave Tejo.

He cannot forget Jasmine 😒

Matlab....hadh hain.

And Jasmine wants Fateh back. I feel like operating on her brain cells... doesn't she understand that their relationship will never be socially acceptable now🤦

Anyway, coming to the episode....I so wish Khusveer finds out about all this drama😈

Idk in itv shows the leads are separated for years due to some misunderstanding and get back together, so there isn't really a stark difference. Right now I can't think of other shows to give as an example, you guys help

In Zee TV's show Tashan-e-Ishq, the contrast between Twinkle's feelings for Kunj and Yuvi was shown nicely.

Oh I see. But honestly, I don't think the makers will be changing Fateh's character tbh. Because as long as he gives Tejo his 'ibaadat waala ishq' and becomes her 'gulaam', Jasmine will never let the two live in peace. For her all of it belongs to her, it will only serve to further solidify her hatred. 🤗

That's just my take, who knows maybe the makers will convert him into a mature lover for Tejo's sake?

I don't think it's going to be that stalkerish love. There'll be a certain possessiveness for sure, but not stalker. I think (tho I don't know much about itv) they want to show two kinda 'love' and how contradictory they're. What jasfa have, it's pretty normal especially in Indian society and tv, guy sees her, enamored by her, woos her, they get married. Doesn't matter there's any deeper understanding, thoughts, ideas between them.

Fatejo on the other hand represent something much more, a relationship where they're friends, where they are with each other in everything (tejo is a huge part of academy, fateh is more invested in her getting college than household chores).

I don't mean to disparage demean anyone or anything kinda relationship but jasfa would have been the kinda couple where wife compares materialistic stuff with others and husband just whines and makes awful wife jokes in a WhatsApp group.

On the other hand fatejo would be the kinda couple who could be 90-95 , and still hold hands together.

Oh btw you referenced the originals. Haven't seen, apart from a few Elijah scenes. He's 🥵🥵🥵hottt

Well amongst the truck load of shows I have seen....I can think of a few scenarios.

Like the rival of this show...has the ML engaged to one at the start of the show and marries another towards the end. With the first one, he supposedly calls it love where he expected her to choose him as her priority. When she wants to pursue her career, he breaks the engagement. But when he falls for the FL, he changes a lot and learns to respect her dreams. When she wants to pursue her career, he agrees to help her in her journey. His love is more volatile with her...his Jealousy issues also skyrocket into toxic layers.

Another in Zee I saw.....where the brother in law marries his wife's cousin sister after she elopes with her lover. The ML had loved his wife...was very soft and polite with her. But after her elopement, he married his SIL to take care of his newborn baby. He used to be very rough with her and harsh. But he loved her later with much more intensity. He nearly went into depression and took meds to keep afloat when she was perceived dead.

Oh you're talking about Raabta, I saw that one also. I guess we are going to see what @Bluekohl said.

In Tashan-e-ishq, from what I can remember, Twinkle had the teenage love story with Yuvi where she could do anything for him and blindly trusted him but with Kunj (though they had some major misunderstandings and distrust), he was always by her side, giving her space, make feel comfortable and didn't expect anything from her except treating his family right, she slowly fell for him...
