He was first seen on television as one of the 11 finalists of the first season ofIndian Idol. He was eliminated early and has since become a television actor whilst doing music. In 2008, he released his debut solo album Tanha.
Tandon came to India to participate in the country's first reality TV show and had made his way to the final round of Indian Idol 1. He was the second to be eliminated on December 31, 2004.
He provided vocals for the Indian Idol 1 album and another album also featuring the Idol finalists titled Yaaron😃
The show last aired on November 6, 2008.
After Kyunki, his next show was the Zee TV drama, Saath Saath Banayenge EkAashiyaan. He played the role of an NRI, Abhay Singh.😃
During ZDJ he became good friends with Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget and Shweta Gulati.
And later he joined Karan, Jenny and Shweta in the popular drama Dill Mill Gayye 😃
And later became good friends with Karan Wahi who has played his younger brother in the show.
He also worked in Vikram Bhat show for sony tv "Shurat Nafrat Aur Showbiz"
