Amit Tandon who plays Dr. Abhimanyu in Star One's Dill Mill Gayye had been super-excited for the past few months as his wife Dr. Ruby Tandon's due

date inched nearer and nearer. Apparently, the couple has now been blessed with a baby girl and they have named her Jiyana Jagat Tandon.

We tried contacting Amit Tandon but his number was not reachable.

We spoke to Amit's close friend and fellow actor Manav Vij who tells us, "Yes, I'm very happy for Amit. He will make a doting father."

When asked about the baby's birth date Manav says, "I'm not sure about it but I think she was born on 30th June."

Amit is currently in Vancouver, Canada which is his wife's hometown. As per our sources, both the baby and mother are doing well. The three are spending quality time as family!

We wish Amit and Ruby happy parenthood!
