Parag Tyagi & Hindustani Bhau convey profound affection & grief in Raksha Bandhan tributes to Shefali Jariwala

Actor Parag Tyagi observed Raksha Bandhan this year in a deeply emotional way, tying a rakhi to his pet dog Simmba on behalf of his late wife Shefali Jariwala. Shefali, known for her role in Kaanta Laga, passed away in June 2025 due to cardiac arrest. A video of Parag performing the ritual has since gone viral, touching many across social media.

In the clip, Parag is seen carefully tying the rakhi around Simmba’s paw while performing the customary rituals. The gesture symbolises the love shared within the family, and now carries a poignant meaning given Shefali’s absence. Parag also tied a rakhi on the wrist of Ram, likely their staff member, ensuring the festival was observed in Shefali’s memory. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Pari, you used to tie Rakhi to Our baby Simba and our Ram. I want you to keep doing it through me so today I tied Rakhi to Simba and Ram from ur side.. Now I am going to fulfil all ur duties… Love you till our last breath.” Alongside the post was a large portrait of Parag and Shefali.

The comments section filled with heartfelt messages, with fans calling Parag’s gesture “pure” and “beautiful.” Many also admired how the couple treated their pet as family, underlining that Raksha Bandhan’s spirit extends beyond just human relationships.

Shefali Jariwala and Parag Tyagi were known to share a deep bond. After Shefali’s passing, actress Dipshikkha Nagpal expressed her grief and concern for Parag. Speaking to IANS, she said, “They were an amazing couple two beautiful human beings. People always looked up to them as that ideal couple. I don’t know how he’s going to cope with this. May God give him all the strength he needs. And may Shefali’s soul rest in peace.” Reports confirm Shefali, 42, died suddenly from a cardiac arrest in June 2025, leaving fans and the industry in shock.

Meanwhile, Hindustani Bhau, also known as Vikas Fhatak, paid tribute to Shefali on Raksha Bandhan, the first without her. Sharing a photo on Instagram, he wrote, “Happy Rakshabandhan, Beta. Aaj maine khudh rakhi bandhi tere naam ki. Miss you.” He accompanied the post with the emotional song “Dhaagon Se Baandhaa” from Akshay Kumar’s film Raksha Bandhan.

Bhau and Shefali’s friendship blossomed inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, where Shefali had been tying him a rakhi every year, highlighting the warmth and affection they shared.
