Bouncy, curly hair, very thick and lovely, lovingly cared for by its owner but guess what now that the lady has been selected as a lead in a popular show, the poor hair will not be seen on screen. It will be covered over by this horrid hair piece, the wig, that too straight, curtain of hair which will totally shroud it. It cudnt bear the thought of not being in the limelight any more, its heart bled with the sorrow of being smothered by that "other" hair and being subjected to worse, pata nahin kya kya atyachaar sehne padenge said the hair strands to each other, kyunki wig bhi kabhi hair thi!!
There are wigs and wigs and if you think they are all one and the same think again cos each wig has a different story to tell!!
There was this wig sitting in a corner crying its heart out, sobbing quietly, hiding in a corner of the prop room, under a heap of old unused wigs. how oh how it wished it hadn't been the chosen one. It cud not bear to think of what it had done, transform such a handsome hunk into Gurmeet Kaur who didnt look like a woman from any angle. It didnt add but detracted from his disguise too sheesh! what a shame for a wig! How would it face the sniggers and sneers from its friends and associates. Uski kya izzat rah gayi hi ab apni biradari main!! Ram ram ram ram.
Then there was this wig preening itself, flush with success, enjoying all the attention it received and all the publicity sparking off heated debates on its existence. Now that is something isnt it, it thought to itself excitedly. What fun to be in the midst of things, to have peans of praise sung by a police inspector and to be fondled and tucked in by such a handsome man wow!!! meri toh lottery nakali hai was all it cud think of!! No guesses for guessing this right, this was Ridhima's wig of course.
Then there was this wig, really proud of having done its job well and being appreciated for it richly. The transformation was complete and total. What more could a wig ask for during a make up, disguise job! It was good while it lasted and well it earned a lot of respect among its peers! Good going DMG it thought for giving me the chance to adorn rahul's head and make him the inimitable Stella.
Then there was this wig all complacent and wise, sedate in the knowledge that it had done a decent job. It had looked just right and complemented the make over or disguise perfectly. This is where my rich experience counts and graying is always not bad you know, it has its advantages thought the wig with satisfaction, the wig which made Atul look Shubha tai.
But the wig which had a ball and literally took a whole episode by storm was the Havaldar's wig. It had an entire episode dedicated to it, was the centre of attraction, and even did slapstick comedy. What more cud one ask for sigh!! It had even been given a chance to act in its first foray into the entertainment industry. Tell me how many wigs have that distinction. It was glowing and had acquired airs thanks to its overnight rise to stardom. Well it thought must hire an agent and raise my fees now!!
