Kasthuri synopsis

Kasthuri is the story about an innocent, uneducated, traditional and simple village girl, Kasthuri. Her father brings her up and her entire world is her father, younger siblings (two sisters and a brother) and the village. She is dark complexioned and her father has problems with finding the suitable groom for her. Her fathers childhood friend sees her and find her as the ideal daughter in law for them, so he promise to get his son Ram married to her. But on the other hand, Rams has his own vision of his dream girl and that's something different from what Kasthuri is, he dreams about a beautiful, smart, well-educated rich woman. He fall for Rekha, but is forced to marry Kasthuri.

They don't have a good marital life and loses her at a buss stop in Chennai. Under some unforeseen circumstance Ram marries Rekha and Kasthuri comes to that house as maid. How will Kasthuri react to her husband's betrayal? Will Ram ever accept Kasthuri as his wife? Will Kasthuri fight against her faith? Will Rekha come to know about Rams true colour? How will Kasthuris father react to this?
