04.08.08 Update..

Ganesh and kasturi in office, ganesh tells they need to start the project in a auspicious day soo. Kasturi says there is no urgency and tells her athai didnt like her doing the project and want to give it to annamalai. Ganesh says how come they give the project to them when they hv put so much effort to get the project. and says rekhas family only chased ram out and it is not fair for them to ask like this.kasturi tells her athai want ram and rekha to live together.

Ganesh and jothi meeting, ganesh tells kasturi was ready to join with ram for sake of jothi but jothi tells him she want ram to join with rekha becoz they hv already lived together and hv a kid and that is nyayam. ganesh ask why she wants to giveup the project, jothi says she has begged her brother to take her son back into family and they are all same blood and want to live together and tells without jothi and masil how come kasturi would hv come to this position and cant she give up this project for her sons future and do a small favour. ganesh is upset and tells kasturi already gave up so much in her life for ram and nothin more to give up and leave from there..

Masilamani's driver comes to him tells he is taking a day off becoz he has go to join his son in school, masil says he might be needing money and says he will give some money for him to cover the school fees, driver refuses and says already kasturi gave 10000 rupees and he leaves. Jothi comes there and tell masil u r botherd abt the drivers kid joining school but not worried abt out peran who is facing problem in joining the school, masil asks who is the peran and jothi tells rams kid. masil laughs and says we dont hv any son and how come he will become our peran and tells annamalai will build a new school for his peran if they r not able to join him in some school and tells jothi not to worry and goes upstairs, kasturi comes there asks jothi why maama is angry jothi shows her erichal on kasturi and tells no body listens her words in family and leaves kasturi wonders why she is angry on her.

Masil and rekha shopping in same supermarket, rekha with her son suddenly the kid comes to masil and says thatha, masil without knowing he is the peran lift him and konjify ans aks his name and so, suddenly rekha shcked santhosh not with him and search and find him with masil, masil sees her and shocked. Masil asks is he her son rekha he is masil's peran. Masil sees rekha...freeze

Aug 5(Tues):

Rekha looks for her son and calls out his name and walks out to see Santosh in Masil's arms. Masil too see her and is shocked. Rekha walks towards Masil and he asks her if the kid is her son and REkha replies no, he is your grandson. Masil is very happy to hear this and asks how she is doing. Rekha says she is fine and asks Masil the same. She later takes Santosh saying they have to leave. Masil hands Santosh over to Rekha and she goes away Masil then lifts his kurta sleeve and sees a mole on his hand and is very happy.

Kasthuri is in her office thinking, then calls Ram's cell. Ram sees Kasthuri's number and asks who she is. Kasthuri introduces herself and Ram asks which Kasthuri, and to say she is KCT MD Kasthuri. Kasthuri repeats it and Ram laughs saying until yesterday she was Empty and today and MD. Kasthuri tells Ram that he has 2 wives and he had never done anything for them. She wants Ram to at least think about his son and his responsibilities for his well being. Ram says he does not have to worry aout that because Rekha is very rich and can take care of everything. Kasthuri then tells him that Santhosh need to be registered in school. The school requires both parents to be present so that they can enrol him. Ram laughs saying if not this school, he is sure Rekha will find another school. Kasthuri reminds him that he has think about his son's future and do the necessary and hangs up.

Ganesh enters Kasthuri's room and she tells him about speaking with Ram about Santhosh's school. Ganesh is very happy and proud of Kasthuri and tells her he will talk to Ram about this. Ram and Ganesh meet and Ganesh tells Ram to go with him to the school the next day to meet with the principal about Santhosh's registration. Ram at first refuses but Ganesh also adivises him like Kasthuri did. Ganesh tells Ram he had asked Rekha to be there too but Ram need not speak with Rekha but to go in for the meeting and leave as soon as it is over. Ram finally agrees.

Radha, Rekha nad Santosh are waiting outside the school for Ram. Rekha gets angry and impatient as Ram is still not there. She tells her mother she will only wait for another 5 minutes and then leave. Radha tells her not to he hasty and calls Ram's cell. Ganesh answers and tells Radha they will be there in two minutes. Both Ram and Ganesh arrive. Ram carries Santhosh and goes inside with Rekha. They meet with the principal (all muted dialog). The principal gives a receipt to Rekha and they leave the room. Rekha goes to the cashier and pays $15000 as fees and they walk out. Ram leaves Santhosh with Radha and leaves the place with Ganesh.

Masil is at hte dining table and Jothi serves him. Ganesh goes there and tells them about Santosh going to school the next day. He tells Masil to be at the school and bless his grandson on his first day at school. Masil tells him he has no grandson and if Jothi wnats to go see her brother she can. Jothi tells Masil not to blame her all teh time. Masil then tells Jothi to bring ice water from the kitchen. After Jothi leaves, Masil tells Ganehs about him meeting Santosh at the departmental store and how cute he is and that he looks exactly like the father. Jothi comes out of the kitchen and Masil immediately changes the subject. Ganesh just laughs. THODARUM.

Aug 6(Wed):

Sumathi is at the temple. She thanks the Goddess for her's and Suresh's well being. Suresh comes to the temple and Sumathi asks what happened to his interview. He tells her that the MD of the company had gone to Bombay on an urgent business and the interview had been postponed. Sumathi asks why can't he go and work at Kasthuri's company but Suresh refuses saying he does not want to work there because it is his sister's company and if he does something wrong. both would feel bad. Suresh wants to work in a different company. While they are talking, Thanam comes there and asks what is going on She tells both of them that their father would be coming soon to talk about their marriage and goes in to pray.

RAdha sitting and thinking as usual. She calls GAnesh and asks him to thank Ram for coming to the school and asks Ganesh to ask Ram to come to her house. When she sees Rekha, Radha disconnects. Rekha asks why her mother is insulting her by begging Ram to come there. Radha tells Rekha that Ram is now in a good mind set. Rekha tells her mother that he came only after being pestered by Ganesh and Radha. Radha still insists that both Ram and Rekha should live together either at their house or on their own. Rekha tells her mother that she does not want to live with Ram and for her mother to think about her happiness and not to live for other and leave. Radha is worried as she cannot make Rekha understant.

Masil's sister Mangalam is in a car and sees her DIL Jayanthi walking. She stops the car and asks where Jayanthi is going and why she is walking. Jayanthi tells her MIL she is from the temple and walked to the temple as it is very near the house. MIL tells DIL that her son had given her a lot of money and to enjoy. Jayanthi asks where did her son get the money as he is only working as a lowly paid employee/ Mangalam gets mad and tells DIL not to suspect her son and cites Kasthuri who was uneducated but now earning a lot of money. Jayanthi says Kasthuri is doing a computer software business and earns a lot of money but her son is not like that. Mangalam says Kasthuri might be earning money by some other means but Jayanthi tells her MIL not to talk about her SIL. Mangalam gets mad and tells Jayanthi that she should not suspect her husband but to enjoy. Jayanthi refuses to get in thecar because she doesn't knowif the money given by her husband is legal or not and whe will only get in the car when she finds out. Mangalam gets pissed off and goes away.

Jothi and Ganesh wait outside the school waiting for Rekha and her son. Radha, Rekha and Santhosh arive and Jothi is very happy to see them and tells Radha that she is happy to see her only grandson begining school. Radha asks where Masil is and Jothi says he has something important to do. Masil arrives in his car but hides outside the school and watches the whole scene. Ganesh sees Masil and smiles. He asks Jothi to see Masil hiding outside. The bell rings and Sathosh is taken inside by the whole gang. Masil leaves.

Masil is in the living and Jothi prepares a drink for him. Masil is very happy and sings to himself. Jothi is also happy to see this. She brings the drink and gives Masil and teases him about being out in the heat. Masil says he has had a lot of things to do and can't tell everything. Jothi tells Masil that someone told her that they say Masil but he just laughs. After Jothi asks again, Masil tells her he did go to the school to see her grandson. Kasthuri comes there and Jothi has the pleasure to tell her that Masil had gone to the school to see Santosh. She continues saying that it is not wrong that he went to see Santhosh as it is their blood. Kasthuri is shocked to hear this. After Masil walks away, Jothi tells Masil that her prayers are being answered and both their families will be united soon. Kasthuri thinks hard.

Kasthuri is sitting on the swing and reading. Jothi brings her milk and wants to ask her something. Kathuri asks what it is, and Jothi tells her that she is very happy today and for that happiness to be permanent it is in Kasthuri's hands. She says that after a long time both her families will be united and the only problem is the Contract belonging to Kasthuri. She tells Kasthuri to give up the contract and only then, her son and Rekha will be happy together. Kashturi is more shocked. THODARUM

Aug 7 (Thurs):

Continue from yesterday. Jothi asks Kasthuri to give her new contract to Annamalai so that both their families would be united. Kasthuri tries to tell her that Annamalai is playing a double game and not to trust him. Jothi gets angry and tells Kasthuri not to talk bad about her brother. Kasthuri then tells Jothi about how she was treat in Annamalai's house after they found out she was Ram's wife. Jothi asks if Kasthuri wants to pay them back as revenge. Kasthuri says it is not like that but just trying to tell her who they really are. Jothi is not willing to listen and tells KAsthuri that she is very selfish and for her not to call her Aathai anymore and leaves.

Kasthuri and Thanam waling in a park. Thanam tells Kasthuri not to give up the contract to Rekha. She tells her that it is Kasthuri's hardwork and should not just be given away. Kasthuri tells her she is giving it up for Jothi's sake and no one elses. Thanam tells Kasthuri that she is not as patient as her and she just cannot accept that Kasthuri is willing to give everything up. Kasthuri tells Thanam that shw will send her off and visit Jayanthi.

Mangalam is in her house fanning herself and grumles about the heat and wants AC fixed. Jayanthi brings a glass of milk and offer her MIL. MIL says that she is feeling very hot and wants to tell her son to fix AC for the whole house just like Masil's house. Jayanthi tells her MIL not to go overboard with the new found wealth. Mangalan gets mad and scolds Jayanthi for talking ill of her son. Jayanthi tells her MIL to see why her son is not returning home these days. Kasthuri walks in and asks about both Jayanthi's and Mangalam's well being. Mangalam is very rude and tells her that she is very well and looks better than her DIL and Kasthuri. She then tells about how her brother Masil had sold all his property for Kasthuri's sake. Kasthuri tells Mangalam that Masil did not sell his property but mortgage them and now Kasthuri had settle all debts and the property is only with Masil. Magalam tells Jayanthi that even she did not know about this but Kasthuri does and that is veyr unfortunate and walks of. Jayanthi apologizes to KAsthuri fror her MIL's behavior.

Kasthur says she is not bothered about it and Jayanthi should not think of it anymore. Kasthuri asks if Jayanthi is happy and if her hsuband is taking good care of her. Jayanthi tells her about her husband not coming home and suddenly had a lot of money to spend. Jayanthi tells her she is very worried about his. Kasthuri wants to talk to him but Jayanthi tells her no because he will be very rude to her. Jayanthi then asks about Kasthuri's life and why she is not back together with Ram. Kasthuri tells Jayanthi that is never going to hapen and not to talk about it as many have already talked aout it. Kasthuri then asks Jayanthi for food as she is very hungry. Jayanthi tells er to just wait for a few minutes. Kasthuri waits. THODARUM,

Aug 8 (Fri):

Megala and her daughter Sumathi are walking home. Megala's neighbour Suganthi meets them and say that she had just come back from the village and has a proposal for Sumathi. Megala tells Suganthi it is not necessary as she has her maapilai at home and he is none other than Suresh. Suganthi is surprised and asks why the change of heart. Megala tells her about her accident and how Suresh and Thanam had helped her. Megala tells her friend that she has now realized that DILs are like own daughters and should not treat them as enemies. Suganthi goes away saying she will find someone else to confuse. Sumathi tells Suganthi about her family meeting at the temple to discuss and fix their marriage and tells her not to come.

At the temple, Kasthuri and the rest of the family after consulting the priest decide on the first muhurtham after the month of aadi. Megala is worried as it is too soon and she has to arrange money for the wedding. Kasthuri tells Megala it is not necessary as she will take careof all the expenses. Everyone agrees to the date.

KAsthuri in her office thinking. GAnesh meets her and tells her they need to advertise for new employees to work on the new project. KAsthuri tells Ganesh they are not going to work on the project as she is giving it to Rekha's company. Ganesh tells her not to be hasty in her decision as she will later regret it. Kasthuri tells Ganesh that if anything happens, it is only she who will be sorry but many will be happy. Kasthuri continues saying that now Jothi's and Annamalai's family are getting close and this would certainly be helpful. Kasthuri says if they loose this contract they will only loose money and money can be earned with other projects. Ganesh nods his head. Ksthuri wants to meet Rekha to talk about this and asks his to arrange for a meeting at a neutral place. Ganehs tells Kasthuri to go to the school ito meet Rekha as she will be there.

Kasthuri goes to the school and parks her car and waits for Rekha. Some kids are playing and Santhosh is one of them. Rekha waits and walks away from the car and her cell rings. Kasthuri answers the cell and as it is noisy she moves away from her car and talks. The kids areplaying hide and seek. A few kids open Kasthuri's car door and go in. Santhosh is one of them. When the school bell right, two kids who get in front come out but Santhosh who is at the back is stuck as he cannot open the door and cries and falls asleep. All this time Kasthuri is talking on the phone and after hanging up drives off without noticing Santhosh in the car. After school is over, Rekha comes to pick Santhosh up but cannot find him. She asks the teacher about her son as is told that the pre K kids had all left much earlier. Rekha panics and they are all looking for Santhosh. In the meantime, Kasthuri is driving with Santhosh sleeping at the back. Rekha tells a teacher she cannot find her son. The teacher tells Rekha that somone from her home might have taken him back. Rekha and the teacher then go to the principal to report. The principal asks the security if he saw any of the kids walking out but is told no. Rekha calls her mother and tells her that Santhosh is missing from the schoo. Radha also panics and Rekha asks her mother to meet her at the school. Kasthuri stops her car and gets out and calls a mechanic and asks him him to come to KK Nagar as her car needs repair. The mechanic tells Kasthuri to lock the car and leave as he will come there and look at it in an hour, KAsthuri says ok and locks her car and leaves, still not seeing Santhosh sleeping inside. THODARUM

Monday 11/8/08

Ok folks VM Patti queen might get behind the bars - gear up.
Rekha frets and fumes about the missing son - shouts at the
school personnel...Radha mommy joins hands...police are
brought in - Radha mommy wants creep to join the search
team...Rekha has her own doubts "avar enna seyya poraar?"
(amma , inge no food, school, maranthurriya??) - Radha mommy
has decided to use the opportunity well...Egomalai is away...
Mappillai yai veetu kku kondu vanthidalame.... Calls creep but
can not reach him. So calls GG and informs. GG promises to
reach creep...calls senior kadu kadu and informs..she in turn frets..
tells Maasu that grandson is missing.... he frets for his part...
uh huh - while all this goes on Santhosh is happily asleep at the
back seat... Police.... muted talks...chiding/... etc., etc.,

Kadu kadu arrives with Maasu - some big drama outside the school -
the whole family minus egomalai .....Kudumbam sernthu
pochaa??? - police control room ..news gets flashed to
all the stations....... Rekha kozhandai yai kaanum..kaanum...
kaanum..... nalla kaalam all dialogues muted... otherwise Roja
has to find suitable BG music.

At last Santhosh gets up.... and cries.. Roja does a grr now..
well u guys need to know this -Rekha cries "ayyo yne pillai ennai
1 nimisham kanum nna kooda azhuvvan" - joke of the year - she
always left him with the maid or mommy!!??? - anyways , a crowd
gathers around VM Patti Q's car...some traffic police arrive and
rescue the kid..... well the kidnap drama does not extend...the
traffic police learn that industrialist Annamalai's grandson is missing...
they know to count ...arrive at 1 + 1 is 2 .....

The owner of the car gets traced... bingo...VM Patti queen is
in trouble. Police visit her office...inform her that Santhosh is
missing..... the police ask for family history "how long have u
known Rekha?" VMP queen frets but the police charge her with
the kidnap of Santhosh. " U came to the school ..to kidnap the
kid... u did kidnap.... but left him in the car and scooted as u were
worried about being caught" VMP queen accepts that she went
to the school to meet Rekha..."but kidnap..me?? no no" The police
want her to go along with them to the school. VMP queen agrees.
Rekha and co are informed that the child is found and get to know
that he was found in VMP queen's car.

Santhosh arrives with the police.... and Rekha exhibits paasam
well VMP queen also arrives....Rekha shouts at her " why do u want to
kill my kid? if some thing had happened to him, I would have killed u"
Maasu boy tries to placate but Radha mommy is all set to play the
necessary drama - "inime enna kekkarathu? Police thaan kaiyum
kalavuma pidichittangale?" creep arrives... Radha mommy
spells out the scenario "maappillai..... namba Santhosh.....
kidnap..... yr 1st wife..." Creep proves that he is junior kadu kadu
looks at VMP queen ...looks??? no no sneers.....VMP Queen has a
stone face......... hmm mani adichaa soru....thookkam....

Aug 12 (Tues):

Rekha asks Kasthuri if she was trying to kill her son. Radha too accuses Kasthuri of Kidnapping Santhosh. Ganesh and Ram arrive and Radha tells Ram that Kasthuri kidnapped Santhosh. KAsthuri explains that she came to the school to meet Rekha and while waiting received and urgent call and drove off. Ont he way she had car trouble and she called her mechanic , locked her car and left for the office in an auto. Rekha refuses to believe and tells the Inspector to take action. Ganesh confirms Kasthuri's explanation that Kasthuri had told him about meeting Rekha. Rekha still refuses to believe and tells the inspector to arrest Kasthuri. Inspector tells Rekha to lodge a complaint. Masil tells he inspector that it is a family matter and that they will take car of it and if need be then they will go to the office. The inspector agrees and asks Masil to give him a statement. Kasthuri tells Masil to just let the officer to take her in as she is not afraid as she is telling the truth. Masil tells Kasthuri to be quiet and he will take care of everything. Masil tells Rekha to take Santhosh back and they will talk later. Radha asks Ram what he wants to do because as a father he has every right to decide. Ram tells Radha that at least now they have remembered that he is the father and thanks them and leaves with Ganesh. Rekha tells her mother off for talking to Ram.

Jothi and Masil in the house, Jothi thanking God they found Santhosh when they did and says that she did not think that Kasthuri would have such hatred on her brother's family that she would do such a think. Masil tells Jothi that he still does not believe that Kasthuri would have done such a thing and reminds her of the Kanagi story. Jothi tells her husband not to think that Kasthuri is the same old Kasthuri but she has changed now and is capable of doing anythin. Jothi tells Masil about an incident that happened in a hospital about how a lady whose child died and bcame a murderer. She accuses Kasthuri of being jealous of Rekha's life. Masil still refuses to believe. Kasthuri wlaks in and Jothi shows her anger. Kasthuri asks if Jothi too suspects her.

Jothi turns her face as she did not say anything at the school. Jothi says she cannot trust anyone these days. Kasthuri tells Masil that she knows that he too does not completely trust her. She tells Masil that everyone can say she is guilty bit does not want Masil or Jothi to suspect her. She then asks Masil why he gave her such a high status. That is why these things are happening to her. Jothi asks how Santhosh came to be in her car. Kasthuri again tells them that she went to school to give her the new project but Rekha was not there and she left. That is all she knows. Masil tells Kasthuri to go in.

Rekha is with Santhose. The door bell rings and a lady doctor comes to check on Santhosh. She checks Santhosh Rekha and her mom there is nothing to worried about only a slight fever. Doctor tells them that because he was crying for a long time, he has fever. She gives a prescription and tells them to get the medicine for Santosh. Radha calls Gopal, their servant and asks him to get the medicine immediately. Radha tells Rekha to wait while she bring food. Rekha tells her mother not to go anywhere but to be with her. Radha tells Rekha that she did not expect Kasthuri to do such a thing and even Rekha says the same thing. Radha says Kasthuri is torturing them in all aspects of their life. Rekha says she will kill Kasthuri if she tries to do anything after this.

Radha wants to call Annamalai and inform him but Rekha stops her saying that her father is a BP patient and not to worry him. Rahda says she will definitely tell him if he calls. She tehn tells Rekha that she is worried because Annamalai has not called since he went out of town. Radha is also worried about her husband and asks Rekha to call him. Rekha tries but her father's phone is switched off. Radha tells her she is very worried but Rekha says not to worry because her father will definitely call tomight.

Kasthuri in her office and reflects her conversation with Jothi about the new project and Annamalai. HER clerk comes in and tells her that their company auditor is there to see her about the IT project. Kasthuri tells him to inform the auditor and any other vistors to see her in a few days. Ganesh comes in and asks why she told she cannot see the auditor. Kasthuri tells him she does not feel good. Ganesh tries to console her but Kasthuri cries asking if she is that cruel to kidnap and kill a child. Ganesh tells her people are always quick to judge but when they find the truth, they will say the opposite. Kathuri cries saying that even Jothi and Masil do not trust her and feel that something really bad is going to happen. She wants to go out for a while and go home and asks Ganesh to cancel all appointments for the next few days and leaves. Ganesh just looks at her with worry.

Rekha's manager is on his cell, loundly talking to Somasundram about the CD copy of Rekha Infotech tender proposal. Manager says he is disappointed that even with the CD he gave they could not secure the tender. He says that it is very difficult to work with Rekha because she is always tensioned. This is because her husband is not with her and at a young age is missing married life. He also says that that Annamalai is easier to work for. Rekha is actually listening to all this and gets really angry and shouts at the Manager and slaps him. She asks his to whom he had sole the CD to but Mnager tries to lie saying he is a very faithful and loyal employee and did not sell company secret to anyone. Rekha threatens to call the police and and Manager finally relents and tells her he sold to Somasundram.

Rekha is shocked. She asks Manager to resign immediately and walks off.

Masil is reading in the living and Jothi brings coffee for him. Kasthuri comes downstairs and wants to talk to both Jothi and Masil. Masil sks Jothi to bring coffee for Kasthuri but Ksthuri refuses. Kasthuri informs Masil that she is leaving everything behind and wants to go back to her folks in the village. She talks about when she was a nobody and in the village, she was very happy and the people around her trusted her. But now after learning the way of life, she is not happy at all. She is very hurt that the people around her don't trust her anymore and she just cannot take it. She says people normally trusted her with their children because she took care of them as her own, but here she has been accused of trying to kill a child, which she cannot accept. Masil tells her that before she was a nobody so people ignored her but now because she is somebody, there are alwys challenges in life nad she must learn how to cope and face them. He says what happened and she being seen as the accused is all circumstancial and it is up to Kasthuri to proof them wrong. He tells her that it is not going to solve anything by her running away. Jothi just gives the irritating look hoping Masil will let Kasthuri go. Kasthuri tells Masil even Jothi had not spoken to her since the day before. To this, Jothi says she was upset and thinking about her grandson and had no time to talk to anyone and for Kasthuri not to blame her for wanting to leave. Kasturi tells Jothi that she would never put a blame on anyone because she knows the pain to carry the blame. Jothi just looks away. Finally Masil convinces Kasthuri to forget about leaving and tells her to go inside and rest.

Sumasundram talking to his manager in his office about the failure to secure the contract. They talk about how Kasthuri has destroyed all their hardwork. Somasundram says it is because Kasthuri is a woman, she is getting all the contracts as Kasthuri is willing to give anything. Rekha walks into Somasundram's office and asks to see Somasundram. The employee goes to Somasundram and tells him that Rekha wants tomet him. He asks her to come in and Rekha goes inside and shouts at him asking how much he paid for the CD. Somasundram denies and both exchange harsh words. Somasundram then threatens Rekha, but hte police walk in. Rekha tells Somasundram that she had brought the police with her. Inspector tells Somasundram to go with them to the police station. Somasundram asks on what charges and inspector tells him about Rekha's manager spilling the beans on him and they are there to take him in. Somasundram warns Rekha about the repersussions for messing with him and goes with the police. Rekha turns around angry. THODARUM.

Aug 14 (Thurs):

Kathuri goes to the temple, the administrator of Anbu Illam comes there to see Kasthuri as tells her that a girl from their illams has been appointed at the hospital. The girl needs heart surgery and the cost is 2 lakhs. Kasthuri tells the man to go with her and she will take care of the expenses and both leave. Rekha at home thinking. Radha brings milk for her and tells her that she had been hasty in confronting Somasundram who is a porukee. Rekha says she had too do something that is why she got him arrested. Rekha then says that she should have done something to Kasthuri for trying to harm her child. Radha says that Kasthuri is capable of anything and even then Masil is keepingher in his house. Rekha says that they should be careful if not Kasthuri would suruthiran everything and run away. Radha then asks if she had spoken to Ram. Rekha says she need not speak with him and tells her mother that Ram actually works for Somasundram and he knows that Rekha had been there and fought with the man. Rekha also says if Ram is so caring, he should have visited his son or at least checked on him. Radha supports Ram saying he probably did not come for fear that Rekha or her father may insult him. The phone rings and Rekha answers but there is no one on the other end and hangs up. Radha is still worried that Annamalai had not called her but Rekha ssured her mother that her father will definitely call.

Smasundram in the cell. His manager and attorney arrive and try to bail him out. Inspector tells them to come to the court as Somasundram is due to be in court in 15 minustes. The inspector tells the men to come to court and petition their bail and the police will not oppose it. Manager goes to Somasundram to talk and Somasundram tells him that he will make Rekha suffer as soon as he comes out. Manager says he should be careful because she sent him to jil. Somasundram says he will not leave Rekhain peace and make her life miserable.

REkha is playing with her son. Radha asks her why she did not send Santosh to school. Rekha says she is not sending him to school but will hire a teacher to home school him. Radha says that Santhosh needs to know the real world. Rekha then talks about how she had told Kasthuri the same thing and thought her how to live. Radha says that should not be the reason for not sending her son to school. Rekha is afraid that Kasthuri would try and harm her son but Rekha says that would never happen. Jothi arrives and asks how Santosh is doing. Radha tells her that Santhosh is ok and Jothi says that it is because of Radha's good heart and puniam. Jothis asks about Rekha and she says she is fine. Jothi tells her that soon she will be able to see Ram and Rekha life happily together. Rekha just gives her a stare. Jothi says Ram loves Rekha and Santosh very much and that is why he had come to school the other day and when Santhosh was missing. Jothi says it is all because of timing. Rekha gets angry and tells Jothi not to blame time and stars as it is Ram's fault. Jothi is shocked to herar this. Radha advises Rekha not to speak like that and to think about getting together with her hsuband. She tells Jothi that Rekha is always like that because of her husband. Jothi says her son is a good man and loves her very much. She tells her that both Masil and she had forced Ram to marry Kasthuri but Ram did not like that. Rekha asks Jothi how can she talk like that being a woman. She says that if one is married, they should live together and not leave jus tbecause you don't like. Radha takes Jothi in telling her when Annamalai comes back shey will talk and decide. Rekha just stares at both ladies.

Somasundram is at his dest and thinks about the incident at his office and fumes. Manager comes in and he again tells the manager tht he will make Rekha suffer and tells him to cancell all appointments. He then calls someone and talks to him (muted dialog). Radha is praying for the safety and well being of her husband. She hears a crashing sound and goes outside and is shocked to see her husband's photo on the floor all crushed to pieces. Radha cries. THODARUM.

Aug 18 (Mon):

Radha calls Rekha down and shows her the shattered photo and tells her that she is worried about Annamalai. Radha wants to go to Bombay immediately to find out about Annamalai . Rekha calls a man in Bombay and asks about her father. The man tells her that Annamalai had stayed with him the day he arrived and had informe dhim that he has some things to take care of and will visit him before he returns to Chennai but has not seen him yet. He promises to check and let her know. Rekha thanks him and gives the news to Radha who gets more worried. Rekha tells her not to worry and she will definitely find out the next day. Radha finally agrees and both go to sleep. Radha has a nightmare that the car driven by Annamali falls into a ravine and Annamalai is dead. She screams and wakes up nd tells Radha about her nightmare. Rekha again consoles her mother and tells her to sleep as she will definitely find out about her father in the morning.

Next morning Rekha comes down while talking to a travel agent about getting her ticket ready and she will collect the ticket at the airport. Rekha leaves. Radha sits down worried. Kasthuri is distributing school supplies to some children at a home. One of the boys tell her to come visit him everyday because since his mother's death, no one visits him. Kasthuri promises the boy that she will visit him and for him to call her mother instead of aunt. The boy is very happy to hear this.

Rekha returns and tells her mother that ticket and boarding pass had been issued to Annamalai for his return to Chennai. She had also checked the passenger list through her friend at the Airport. Radha is very worried. Rekha wants to report her father's disappearance to the police but Radha says they should not go without a man and wants to ask her brother to accompany them. Radha calls her brother who tells her he is very busy and after Radha orders him to come he agrees and says that he will arrive the next day. Radha tells Rekha this and asks her to call Ram so that they can go early but Rekha refuses to call Ram. Finally Radha tells Rekha she will go and see Masil and ask for his help. Rekha tells her mother to wait until the next day and Radha agrees.

Masil is having breakfast. Radha comes there and tells them about Annamalai's disappearance and how she is worried. Both Jothi and Masila are shocked. Masil tells her not to worry as Annamali may have some other work to do and is taking care of it. Kasthuri comes down and hears the three of them talking and stops halfway. THODARUM.
