So thrilled that you loved this OS. Yes, Swara certainly needs to have that perspective now, to realize that she did terribly wrong by Sanskaar. By always trying to do "the right thing" for the families, she landed up taking a very wrong approach. And if the path taken is bad, does it matter if the final goal is admirable? 😒😕

I hope that she feels sincere remorse for what happened, and showers Sanskaar with all the adoration, warmth and unconditional love and acceptance that she is capable of. It is nothing more than what he truly deserves from her.

I am hoping for some extremely intense moments between our Golden couple. 😊😳 Grey shaded devil with a golden heart 👏👏 Excellent description for Sanskaar. 👏⭐️ Oh, those sharp edges and angles in his nature, the layers and shades of his character...I could go on and on. 😆

I won't disappear from forum yaar 😆...I hope not, at least. Yeah, was on a hiatus of sorts from March to June owing health issues. Since June, have been back to writing fics as usual. 😊

For Sanskaar, that is what broke him and to such an extent that he is determined to hurt her and hurt himself in the process. There is a difference between belief and faith, though most use it interchangeably. Belief needs proofs, faith simply believes even when there are no proofs, actually does not need proofs. Swara has belief in Sanskaar, so he always has to prove himself with tangible evidences. Sanskaar has faith in her, he does not need any proof to do so, and he will not allow any questions either regarding his faith. There is a beautiful quote (unknown) " Belief is the truth in a mind, Faith is a fire in the heart" So Swara always fails to have faith in him.

As you rightly noted on yesterday's post, Sanskaar was a wealthy man when it came to money but there had always been a paucity of love and trust (he hoped) in his life till Swara stepped in, so when she left him, he crumbled.

On an aside, your title brings to mind W B Yeats poem (I so love it, it sort of sings)

The Cloths of Heaven
"Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light;
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."

Sanskaar laid his heart, his life, his trust, his soul and all his dreams at her feet, and this time she trampled all of them when she walked out. Whether she was right or wrong, that fact remains; with her delicate feet, the anklet bells tinkling, she trampled all of it. Her feet will bleed as will her heart, but then, she did trample them all.

I seem to have rambled quite a bit, but I so loved it that somewhere I lost coherence😊

I've been reading this comment and your later one, multiple times. 😳 ☺️ And each time, it leaves me with a dreamy grin on my face, that something I have written touched you so much. Am really feeling very blessed this weekend----much needed, ahead of final returns filing. 😆 😕 Plus service tax returns due 25th, and TDS returns due 31st...God, this is a tough month! 😕

OK, I'm gonna leave work talk aside, there's no end to it. 😊 I just adored the insight in your feedback, Nynu...that lovely distinction you drew between faith and belief, that was just awesome. 👏 👏 You have given me a quote I am going to hoard and cherish always: "Belief is the truth in a mind, Faith is a fire in the heart" 😊. I hadn't heard that one before, and its so very, very apt and true.

I too, have never doubted the fact that Swara loves Sanskaar. Perhaps not to the exact, precise same extent of sheer, all encompassing intensity that he adores her; but her love is very deep and true, indeed. But as you said, the subtle distinction was, he had unshakable faith in her; while she always believed in him. 😕 When all the proofs were against her (when she was accused by nearly everyone in the family, based on planted evidence, of making a play for both Lakshya and Sanskaar)---it was only Sanskaar who stood by her, never ever felt there was even an iota of reason to question her. He would not entertain, even for a microsecond, the thought that she could, indeed be doing such a vile thing.

Swara, though she does deeply love Sanskaar, has twice caused him grievous hurt by not trusting him, when some stray clues/ proofs were against him. Once, in the matter of Ragini's kidnapping (when all he was doing, in fact, was trying to shield Swara); and now, in the matter of his aggressive altercation with Lakshya and Lakshya's subsequent disappearance.

It is, as you said, pointless to try and apportion blame to what Sanskaar did, or try to say that his conduct sparked off her decision. Had their places been reversed, Sanskaar would never have walked out on Swara...and therein lies the pointer, I feel, for Swara. Which ought to show her conscience, the way forward. Splitting hairs on who prompted what action is futile----her action was clearly wrong, and in effect, was a terribly wrong way to do what she would have thought, was the right thing. And as you put so well, when the path chosen towards a worthy goal is so terribly wrong, does the goal still remain the right one? 😕

That poem by Yeats ...I've read it before, and loved reading it again here. I'm deeply touched, that the title and drabble could remind you of this poem. 😳

Viji, that reference to his clothing... picking these subtle nuances that CVs try to show to portray the character and the way you described it here was excellent. Sanskaar's raw agony that you have written here, my goodness! Thoda sa bhi show par aajaye toh SwaRagini will have its viewership back for at least a month. Hats off for writing such faddu dialogues! Your writing and imaginative skills are something to envy woman!

So glad that you loved this OS yaar. 😳 😊 And that is completely true, Sanskaar can never, and would hurt Swara physically. He just can't, he loves her with every nerve, fibre and pore of his being. Yes, he is furious with her, feels tremendously embittered that she walked out on him. He will definitely be sarcastic and snarky in his behavior with her, he might put her through an emotionally tough time by inflicting anguish and pain on himself, letting her see how she has made him into a dark shell of his former self.

He certainly has become a dark gray shaded, demoniacally devious and devilishly determined man, owing to all his bitterness and fury. But he still has his heart of gold, which beats only for Swara. Nothing could ever change that. 😊
