Dear Shru 😡😡😡 (that is for Pawan 😭😭)
Finally, Lakshya and Sanskaar get a chance to clear the air and what Lakshya confides to him about Kavita causes him to think a little differently about her letter - he now suspects Devendra's involvement in the letter too? And then another letter from Annapurna arrives (I am a little tired of letters - too many of them by too many people ) - now the contents of the letter, it definitely (I guess) is not the one that Swara wrote and left with Annapurna but could be a gist of what Annapurna has understood from Kavita's letter and the manner it was found. Does Sanskaar confide in Lakshya - must be since they have yet again amended the plans!
Cliffhanger - Ranjit's entry - friend or foe (now that I have read the whole chapter - Janaki and her family were quite close to Ranjit and were actually desirous of getting her sister married to him - is she so rotten that she would prefer to lose Baadigunj for the malice and spite that she has nursed for Swara?)
Sigh - sweet Swara! They leave with instructions to the maid to deliver the messages (again letters) to Annapurna, Sharmishta and Pawan - this the very maid who is discovered dead by Ragini (Janaki killed her in order to delay Pawan???? - the messages were just a pretext) I think Ragini knew that and realised to what extent her mother could go. But this raises a doubt - was Janaki in the know from the very beginning and was sort of guiding Ragini or did she find out later from Ragini and rejoiced in the way Swara was removed from the scene (when Sanskaar kidnapped her). But now Ragini does know all about her mother and I feel quite sure that the maid was killed by Janaki and it was this realisation as to the extent her mother could fall that spurred a part confession from Ragini.
Then the encounter at the temple - blood curdling and bone chilling - Pawan's desperate battle to save Swara, Devendra dragging Swara away and the final blow from Janaki (it was literal - she back stabbed him - and she is no warrior or a rajputana queen for that) And Devendra tearing Sanskaar's ring from Swara's neck but Pawan collapses holding it in is hand (symbolic).
I have only one hope - Pawan asks Uttara to send messengers to her father and uncle to return to the Palace at once and send more men to the temple, so maybe they would reach in time - I am sure he would hold on to his last breath as he know he has to be alive - for Sanskaar and Uttara. He has to live (even if you plan to kill him eventually) to at least tell the tale of Janaki's deceit (unless Ragini decides to redeem herself by revealing her mother's true intentions)
I am digressing a little - but have you read 'The Sign of the Broken Sword' by G K Chesterton - in that Father Brown mentions that a wise man hide a leaf in a forest but an evil man (a sinner) would make a forest of dead leaves to hide a single dead leaf. That is what Janaki is - for her hatred of Swara (who has never done anything to deserve it) she has set about ruining so many lives including hers and Ragini's and has her hands stained with the blood of so many innocent people. I think even Satan might not want her in hell. Is there any redemption for her?
Pawan is the Lionheart here - and as the song goes (Of Men and Monsters) -''And as the world comes to an end -I'll be here to hold your hand, 'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.'
love,
Nyna
