Firstly thank you Shruti, for that little mention before the smooth rolling of an amazing chapter. And what invoking start to tale that is all drenched in revenge, politics, love, betrayal and of course blood. Empires, big or small, they thrive on lie, deceit and secrets that are never to be kissed and told. We got an excellent glimpse of that bygone era. True the queen cannot command the kingdom at her will, but she surely commands the king! And Annapurna is cut from the very cloth that can make the formidable quiver. Ideal queens are those who love with pastel hues and reign with an iron fist, Rani Bai saa here is the ideal cutout of faint notion. No wonder the fortress is secure under her militant administration! I have to give you the credit for making me completely forget Sankaar, this update belonged to the formidable Annapurna Maheshwari.

Another interesting facet of this woman has to be her innate ability to assess things in their correct and pre-defined order. Sujata only noticed the fact that Shekhar married Shramistha, an outcast to their otherwise pristine and elite society, Annapurna saw Janki's intricate detailing of a well laid plan. It's not always that you come across such razor sharp brains. Another thing that bowled me over was a plain and direct evaluation of Shekhar Gadodia. She knows he is not capable enough, nor he has any military dash that would help the Maheshwari survive the political turmoil of the land but nonetheless she is bringing him under her wing as a potential collateral damage. One whose demise would cause no pain, and one who would provide them with a safety valve in the form of that docile Ragini. What calculated move Bai saa!

While this chapter establishes Janki as a formidable force who has taken Swara under her command, to me she really is nothing but a shadow. From what I can decode it is Shramistha who is greater force. The easiest way to make a hero out of someone is vilify the one in competition. I don't know why but Shramistha seems to be swearing by this golden rule. Ragini is too perfect, to a point that her perfection is nothing but a useless decor of the living room...Swara on the other hand as the spunk and if I may dare the fierceness of a queen who can invade any battle and force the enemy to retreat. Shramistha, to me, is that knife that slowly penetrates and then waits to slowly but steadily cut every vital organ in the body and then make it bleed from within. I have no idea how write I am here but the initial surfacing gave me the...I don't know...feels?

And of course Swara. I think its too early to make a comment on her, but I am guessing she has layers and layers in her persona. And it will unfold one by one causing enough ripples in the still water to turn it into a massive tide! And Sankaar already shares a cosmic connection with Swara? Interesting, very interesting! I am hungrily waiting for more, especially now when I know Sanskaar is planning to breach the security perimeters!

P.S. It is 19th century story, a time when alpha females such as Rani Lakshmibai, Maharani Jeejabai and Sharan Kaur existed. All brave, bold and deathly beautiful...Swara too belongs to this generation...so can we have a naive, bubbly but fierce blade wielding woman in her? I'd get my dose of adrenaline if I see her on a horse with a naked sword in hand!!

P.P.S. If its you Viji who is reading this, then I am sorry for not posting my comment on Dyut Parva. Its just that its based on an epic that I love with every fiber of my being and I want to put up a detailed comment! And Sakura I have just begun with Ice King and its going to take me a bit of time to reach you Frost Knight!

Dear Shivani 🤗

Thank you once more for your lovely comments, I can't believe you read so much into my words- it's music to a writer'r ears! Annapurna is so well picked upon by you- it truly thrills me! You are especially right about the ability to preceptively observe, Sanskaar has it too and I deliberately mentioned here how the soul children are different to the birth children in this. She is a true queen, like the ones we imagine of the era you know so much better than me.

I am really intrigued by your impressions of Sharmishta and Janki! I feel a bit frustrated as I cannot discuss much here for fear of disclosing coming chapters as threads are probably going to get tied to one another but am bowled over by the line of vilifying one's completion! By the end you will find this very prophetic suspect! Oh Ragini- hmm, you will see what or how perfect she is soon enough 😉. Swara will have other nuances but I want to try not to overcomplicate her either too. Ah you want to see a fighter Swara? Hmm, something of that may come to play but in perhaps a more subtle way than you may expect. Yes Sanskaar has a plan and now I need to make the elements of all that come together!

So glad you are in for this ride!

Love,
S x

Shruti ...A brilliant update once again. I am not gonna go in details about your writing... because like always you have cast your magic spell on me and I was totally lost... 😳 Coming to the real content... So we are finally meeting The angels and demons of this story... loved the title... I am liking Annapurna ... she is an interesting character I am looking forward to see how and what her role will shape into.
Swara... lolz... you described her so perfectly... I can imagine her like that... spilling out of a carriage and looking and still laughing... told you you write so amazingly... 😉😉
Sanskaar... gihehehe... our devil boy want to stir trouble... amazing... looking forward to read how...😆😆 and poor guy... Right now he have only caught a glimpse and he is distracted... what will happen when they will meet... so looking forward to it...
Coming to my most favorite part of this update the cosmic connection...we have that in show too but you made it more impactful by your words and make it more amazing by further extending it to their eye lock... So first impressions have been made up by both... now I am looking forward for more...
Love you
Nitz...

Nitzu 🤗

Abh kya bolun? Thanks you have banned and I am scared of weapons 😆 but instead lots of jhappis and love! Glad you felt the title fit this chapter, it has layers to it beside the obvious 😉. I like my own Annapurna too although she will have failings too I suppose. Haha- Swara - little bundle of energy so far! Sanskaar stirring yes! I am currently thinking of a meeting that is good enough for them! Have an idea so will have to try and translate across! I'll update as soon as time and work allow. Love ya xoxo

SwaSan's first meeting, even if not face to face but with some distance...

Lakshya is getting married to Ragini...

Shekar has twovives, Shomi and Jhanki, both alive..

Liked how you have shown that Swara is closer to Jhanki and Ragini to Shomi... And also Lakshya to Sujata and Sanskaar to Annupurna..

Ragini is irritated by Swara even here.. :(

Continue soon
Thanks for the pm

Lovely introductory start this part 1 dear Shruti...so it was mainly to bring the Gadodias to the Maheshwaris...I like the way you have drawn a character sketch of each one of them...Sujata will be Sujata lol!!! Also the stark difference between both Swara and Ragini...wow so we have Janki alive in this one...she seems really nice in this in fact more than Sharmistha I feel

Sanskaar is celled up in his own house too?? He seems mentally okay by his thought processes but burning in some sort of revenge plan sply against his own brother!! Laksh apparently is going to fall head over heels with Swara right so will this sanskaar create a DEMON of an already serious Ragini???

Can't wait to see where this will go!

Thanks for the pm dear...love Tas

Hey Shruti
The story is just awesome as soon as I got a pm of prologue I was very eager to read but then the net in my campus went haywire and rest is a history
So then I had to wait till I reached home and no electricity...means no wifi and then I had to wait more and finally I am commenting
The story is just magical I have a special liking for historic stories...the sets...the glamour... the dressing styles... the language makes it more dramatic...
Sanskar was in prison and was tortured and Annapurna took almost 2 years to free him...

Part 1:
I liked the entry of Gadodiyas
So Janki and Sharmista are both there in the story
Janki I find her kind and her bond with Swara will also be I believe more strong then that with Ragini
Ragini is the typical good girl the haanji haanji types but who are angels from their looks are a sure demon from inside
I have a feeling that she has some negatively for Swara from her behavior
Sujata can never change and she is more close to Lakshya is interesting... So when Lakshya will be hurt by Sanskar it will be worth seeing her plight
Sharmista I don't quite understand her character...but I believe with the story proceeding it will be clear

Please don't make Swara the weak types please that people can throw shit at her...please make her strong
Thanks for the pm
Continue soon

I dozed off typing a comment last night :)
I should say this, it took me a moment to actually imagine the set of people in a different attire but once that's done the story just flowed till one point. The metaphorical description of swara and Sanskar. The sun dawned upon his darkest nights at last. Take A bow for that. It was amazing how you externalised his darkened soul and her radiant joyful one and so deftly painted them on to the canvases of our imaginations. The sun beaming behind her as he stood frozen in his darkness:)

Thankyou You for the pm.
Waiting for more.

Nalini.:)
