The situation escalated when a woman who identified herself as Mary D Costa uploaded screenshots of what she said were private messages from Palaash. Amid the continuous chatter and backlash on social media, Palaash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has stepped forward to address the conversations surrounding her son. Speaking to the Hindustan Times, she shared how both families are coping after the wedding was abruptly put on hold. Amita expressed that the current situation has been emotionally difficult for everyone involved, adding that her son had been looking forward to beginning a new life with Smriti. She also mentioned that she had prepared a warm welcome for her future daughter in law and remained hopeful that the couple’s wedding would soon take place. The postponement of the wedding sparked a wave of posts online. Mary D Costa alleged that Palaash sent her flirtatious messages and even invited her for a swim. She also shared screenshots that claimed he referred to his relationship with Smriti as “dead.” Shortly after, more speculation began circulating when another name surfaced. According to unverified posts, Palaash was allegedly involved with the couple’s wedding choreographer, Nandika Dwivedi.

One Reddit user further claimed that this supposed involvement continued until the day before the wedding and alleged that the situation came to light when Smriti’s teammate, Shreyanka Patil, walked in on them. These claims remain unverified, yet they have already fueled widespread reactions online.
