Hey Dear...😊 Thanks for this comment.
Very happy you liked the mystery aspect as well as the SwaSan romance aspect which I had tried to bring out in this story. This was the first time I'd attempted writing anything in the suspense/ thriller space, so I'm glad you liked it.
Oh, I agree with you completely, that guys who feel they are entitled to have the lady reciprocate their feelings, just because they feel intensely, are a total waste of time. My idea in desciring Sansku, was how different he is from such people. How he resolutely held himself within the boundaries of friendship, thoug he himself, had such intense feelings for Swara.
Lakshya---you are right. He perfectly fits the tag of obsessive people who feel that they are somehow owed love, just because they feel a convenient brand of infatuation.
Also, I didn't intend Sansku to seem overbearing or overprotective. Just cautious and giving tools to Swara to defend herself---which ultimately she used, to overcome Lakshya anyway. My idea in framing the climax scene, was that I wanted to show Swara fighting her way out of trouble, and not wait for someone else, even Sanskaar, to rescue her "damsel in distress" style. And that's why, though I put Sanskaar on the scene when the cops break through the front door, Swara has already used the pepper spray and the swiss knife to escape from Lakshya's clutches! 😉
Thanks again for your wonderfully perceptive & analytical comment!
I absolutely loved the mystery aspect. I was on the edge of my seat in all honesty! Especially how you added it only in the preface, and the only other hint towards the mystery aspect was how Masheswari Mansion had an ominous feel to it. I think that little reminder that something sinister is happening in the background and that kept me hooked!
While I was reading it, I half expected an old sage to come out and tell Sanskaar that he is was never intended to marry Swara, but someone other girl because of some "supernatural reason", and I was just waiting for that shoe to drop, but I had to remind myself that this was suspense thriller 😆😆. But the best part is that I didnt read the end to find out who the "villain" is because me and mysteries to do not go along 😕, I have a tendency to read the end! But I was too enamored in the cuteness of Swara and Sanskaar to even think about reading head.
I also liked how you dropped the subtle hints about Sanskaar and Laksh's childhood that eventually filled in the blanks, and helped Swara figure out how Laksh had managed to execute this almost perfect plan. Like Laksh doing Sansku's homework, and the oddity of Laksh's nature (in the sense that he was able to mimic lots of people). Like looking back that was so freaking amazing, and I didnt even notice that those scenes gave a greater purpose to the overall storyline and aren't just background information or fluff additives to the story! (and DP laughing was sooo cute, like I imagined that happening in my head).
Laksh and his overbearing nature, and entitlement never ceases to amaze me. Honestly, it was actually seems plausible that Laksh could have some mental fissure in his mind. Giving how Sanskaar in the show - and your story - seems to have better place in the Masheswaris hearts, and he seems to be a strong, confident, and capable businessman unlike Laksh. It would create a mental imbalance to see your sibling get the praise, while your family is happy that you "simply tired". So it works perfectly! I found the part where Sanskaar wishes the doc and police erase the mention of his Badi Papa and Ma from Laksh's seminar and interrogation so thoughtful, that was such a Sanskaar gesture!
I think the slight overbearing-ness of Sansku ticked me cause I felt I was in the mind set of "men control everything!" given of Laksh acts in the show, now looking back his protectiveness might not have been misplaced as I thought. Given there was an ominous feel in the house, and Swara is a lightning rod for bad things, and he already has lost the love of his love once, so I understand where the worry is coming from. And Swara was definitely her own hero!! ⭐️ (and I love that she was her own hero so much!!)
...Okay I think this post is long enough! Thank you Viji for this whirlwind of a story, that truly kept me at the edge of my seat!!!!!🤗
(I did believe that Swara would die at some point...😲)
