Okies ^^ I don't know about Ragz but I accept his defense! This for me somehow absolves him to a great extent for showing her the wrong path... Because somehow I could never forget that he too was one of the people who helped her reach her tipping point... Not that I liked her door mat version earlier but had felt a bit sad that one got a chance to reform and other fell way off the wagon. But this thought that he really didn't know that he himself was ever going to be off that path of destruction, even in his wildest dreams, is a solace to me, for I'm biased towards him like most of us reading this...😳 It is like Swara was that freak mistake that happened in his life that righted all his wrongs... And this thought makes me happy...

Which is why I have to stand guard for her forever, regardless of whether she is my wife, or Lucky's or anyone else's.

^^ This is the essence of why I love swasan... this right there...esp the red... epitome of the word- UNCONDITIONAL. ❤️

She is my queen, just as Lucky is your king and we may well be the ones forced to duel to the death for them.
^^ This reminds me of so many things... the war generals, gladiators, chess pieces... Such a wonderful thought provoking line dear! ⭐️

You will read this as a threat and I can semanticise and say it is a promise, but it is what it is.

^^ This is just true blue Sanky right here!! 👏👏 I'm actually expecting he would be saying this to Ragz very soon in the show too... It is so like him to cut the chase and go directly for the jugular.

On the whole an awesome piece of writing dear...👏👏 It's been long since I actually quoted so many lines and gave an essay of a reply... But this truly deserved it. Guess this is my favourite of the lot that I hv read so far of this series which btw I'm yet to complete fully...😳

Thanks so much for making an exception for me and giving me such detailed and lovely comments, you made my Monday much improved. Glad you like the explanation Sanskaar gives as I felt that Rags probably never had a full explanation as to why Sanskaar changed his mind as he did that before he actually fell in love with Swara. Yes sanskaars love is not selfish in any sense and is actually a pretty stupendous thing to watch, amazing me each time as to how Swara can be immune. Oh wow this might be your fave of the lot?! Xoxo

They will be such awesome partners in mischief when she redeems herself. But what I love the most is that Sanskaar's love for Swara just blazes through the letter. *sigh* How I wish that Swara loves him back soon...

Waiting to read more SwaSan from you.

Glad you enjoyed not only this but the whole series. Ah yes whilst it was about Sanskaar and Ragini I deliberately had to express sanskaars love for Swara to give his warnings to Ragini some context and to make her try to understand again. Glad you liked it and thanks for taking the time to let me know 🤗

Ulike other letters i think here sanskar is blunt and to the point. I guess both being in same but diffrent situation has some thing to do with this i guess. Ragini may be a product of his plan but she have outgrown him over the time.

ATOTC is one of my favourite books and yes it is incredibly sad, I always cry despite having read it multiple times' such an incredible story. Yes I made Sanskaar deliberately blunt as he had that old connect with Ragz:). Thank you for reading and commenting x

Hi Shruti,

Had a bad dream last night, could not sleep anymore... So here I am reading Sanskar's letter to Ragini. As much as my inner evil surprised me in the dream world same had done by Sanskar's version of his and Ragini's earlier companionship.
To be honest I think yes, he was the first to see Ragini as she really was, in fact whatever old ragini others claim to know is just a hologram she made in order to please them. With sanskar there was no need of that.
But, was Sanskar who he really is while he was with her, is a debatable question. Had Ragini in her true self ever was capable enough she could have pulled the lost soul sanskar back towards light instead hoping up on hell express with him. But alas, she was not the chosen one for that...had she been...theirs would have been a different tale to tell.
There is one quality that highlights itself in this serious of letters, Sanskar's ability to understand. He knows Ragini to the last inch of self there is to know and would know exactly where to aim if he wants her fallen, in case they ever dual in future. But he, being the amazing person he is warns her of the fact...I found that admirable. He plainly tells his enemy all about his weakness and strengths and leave the decision of crossing or not crossing him up to that very person, I like this confidence of his and also the undying want to protect Swara against anything that might harm her.
There is a frankness in this letter, not like the bareness of the letter to AP or the straightforward-ness in the letter to Swara, but a frankness that would only tally with his Dupattewali dost, that was once Ragini.
They both have loved people who do not reciprocate that love, only Ragini isn't as strong as Sanskar to withstand the pain it offered, if she ever accepts his hand truely perhaps they can share a bit of that pain. If anyone can ever claim to share her pain and help her out of it I believe it is Sanskar, if she lets him.
I liked the way, he told her how that old Ragini would have been a much stronger woman, true to the last word. He did not promise her Lucky's love, which again is a good thing, we don't want Ragini on any delusions again right?
As this is the concluding part, I have to say it is a master piece. If Ragini ever reads this she might give up any plant hatching in her pea brain and see the truth of herself.
Now I can tell you for sure, this is my favorite letter from all the rest. It has the compassion, genuineness and also the real feelings of a friend, who might not let you wonder on the darkside even for a tiny moment.
Awesome job!

Oh no Saku, those types of nightmares are horrible and then you read something I wrote!? You poor dear 😆. Seriously though I loved your comments- that's totally it about the Sansku Rags dynamics, and yes Sanskaar does strip things down like I said in my letter to Swara. He can see and still feel all he can for the person, such is his love for them all in different ways. He doesn't irritatingly whitewash. Wow- you love this one the best? I must say as the writing flow came I really enjoyed it as I could honestly let go here and didn't have to hold back! Thanks hon 🤗

Yes Sanskaar did lead ragini to jhe path of destruction may be even self-destruction too may he even showed the path to light which she refused to accept whether out of fear or determination is what I failed to understand.
But yes her evil mind *if you can call it that* can partially be blamed on Sanskaar but not totally.
And even now Sanskaar is walking on an ideal path, if she really did want to follow him even now is not too late.
And maybe even Sanskaar is right in second guessing Ragini's intentions because her truth was exposed she didn't willfully accept her defeat and also we all know how naive Swara can be

"you can sacrifice and not love; but you cannot love and not sacrifice"
This quote ❤️

Manasi, your such a sweetheart to me- always encouraging and making me feel good, thank you for that and for liking this and the other ones too ❤️

They both are so focused on what they want & so honest to themselves that you can't help but like them after a while.

I liked the Lucifer reference.

Ah to have a man want to guard you that fiercely from any harm Does Swara even realize how lucky she is? No, dont answer that😆 This letter should actually serve as an eye opener for Ragz & make her realize that she deserves better. It might be impossible to find another Sanskaar, but finding a better replacement for Lucky shouldn't prove all that hard.

And Spoiler Tags please!!! I haven't read A Tale of Two Cities yet & read that info at the end😭😭

Hey Shruti!
Oh I have always liked the equation between these two as friends or as you perfectly put it-frenemies! So much better than the lacklustre bromance we get or the beyond irritating swaragni crapfest (sorry, angry after today's epi!).
After writing Sanskaar I'm seriously in love, how on earth is it possible for a girl to be THIS immune to him?! Wacko mental that is. Nooo- you hadn't read ATOTC? I am so sorry, never thought of a spoiler warning as thought everyone would know the story and those who didn't would need the spoiler as they weren't likely to now read it! Well tbh it's about so much more so you seriously should read it. Despite what you now know you will be hooked and it will make you cry 😭. There's def shades of Sydney Carton in Sanskaar, won't tell you any more but read it! 🤗

Hey Shruti...😊Am reading this last in Despatches series from an Airport lounge. 😊 Am on travel from today, as I mentioned.

Very nice end to the series. I liked the tone of the letter, Sanskaar giving some plain home truths to his former partner in crime 😊 And of course, for me, the best part was ""
Which is why I have to stand guard for her forever, regardless of whether she is my wife, or Lucky's or anyone else's. I will always be there for Swara, one way or the other. She is my queen, just as Lucky is your king and we may well be the ones forced to duel to the death for them.""

I liked the bit also, where he ends with saying "your friend or foe"-- you decide! Clearly, he understands Ragini better than anyone else---even Swara, for that matter. He has walked on the dark side, after all. But he is there, in his way, to help Ragini come back into the light--if only she would let herself be helped!

Its a tough call to make Shru...but at the end of the series, IMHO, the letter to RP and Swara were probably my favorites. Followed by DP & Ragini's. But the speciality of this entire series was, it was very, very tough to pick! 😊

Viji 🤗
I'll seriously miss you during your trip but wish you a safe and productive one! Glad you liked this one too, yayyy, that gladdens my heart! I sort of thought that you'd like the duelling reference, soul connect again! Ah yes the end, your the first to pick up on that. It just felt that he would give her that choice and that's what I love about Sanskaar - he deals with each person as they need to be dealt with, not stupidly one sided. Even with Swara he is still sensible about himself, like he doesn't go overtly imposing of his own views and wishes. What you said about the whole series has made me feel really happy! X

Hey Falaq! Haha- why would I be hurt? That's such a nice thing to say. And lol I should hope it's not because of Dickens solely although he is one of my faves by then so are Austen, Shakespeare, Thomas Hardy, the Bronte sisters and oh so many others- I have spent most of my life reading it seems so I sincerely hope some vocabulary enhancement resulted 😆
