Viji, this was outstanding !👏 The entire series was !! ⭐️

I read it in one breath yesterday, when it first came out..but was in the middle of work and didnt want to revert in a hurry..because this deserves so much more !
I have loved all 3 parts of the series..and I just read all 3 together AGAIN, to link them up as I read them..Your series is a beaut of a continuum, effortlessly flowing from one to the next. I loved how deeply you have though through the key characters, highlighted the beauty of the strength of one character against the other and the interplays between the 4 key characters here..😊

While DP didnt get his due (I am sorry, but would have loved to see him as one of the elements - the Hindu concept of Air or even better the Sky perhaps?) he held sway right through, cause that IS his right ! And its his word that you have used as the final decider, very rightfully.👏 I loved that, because if anybody, he is the only elder in this entire drama who has won my respect ! (ok Shomi does get my esteem too - but her brainless obsession with her doltish, spineless😡 husband, washes it out).

You portrayed the characterization of Swara as Water, beautifully in the 1st part - it was apt, because, to my mind, Swara has been that eternal giver..filling up the hearts and minds of whoever she meets with her joy and warmth..as water fills up wherever it turns..Water knows no boundaries and sweeps out all when it rushes out, much as she swept out all the darkness in the hearts of so many people when they get to know her - Sujata, Sanskaar to just name a few..and even others cant remain unaffected by her warmth, her strength and her complete honesty - DP being one of them. Hats off for that one..

But the next took my breath away ! Fire and AP !! WOW ! What a take on this one supremely enigmatic, regal, all powerful diva ! And your background research was a classic piece of extremely good writing ! ⭐️I often think that I'd love to write..and I am known to be an extremely creative story spinner (verbally thought)..but the one thing I realize when I read well studied stories like yours, is that I cannot hope to reach this class...coz I do not have the patience to do the pain staking outlining of the context, this kind of serious research, ever ! And since there is no point in doing something you cannot do well, I have abstained from it ! So hats off to your dedication to doing a good job really well ! I can see there is a master here...and I am glad we're getting to read it, through this forum !😃

I have loved how you've built the story from Water to Fire and to Earth now...the rising tide of love in Swara, the self awareness and then the self realization of what she feels for Sanskaar..the entire evolution has been heart warming and lovely and is outstandingly outlined.. Sanskaar himself, as an Earth sign (and since I am one, and my hubby tells me that I define all of these very same attributes, I can identify with him) is perfectly cast. Solid, dependable, resilient and oh so all embracing ! This part of the story was outstanding..!👏

The tidbit with Kavitha is very intelligently placed...because you have defined Sanskaar so well..there could be no Sanskaar without his background of Kavitha..she has shaped him, as has her loss..moulded him into becoming a man with a sterling character of strength and steel and high courage. And the evolution of Sanskaar from his darkness to his current self, is etched out very succintly but comprehensively, nevertheless. Swara's thoughts and his, the interplay with AP's resolve and the final confession...Wow...!

The confession is sheer brilliance ! The very idea of a public confession is so right, so "Karmic" even ! The similarity of the confession (a very public one, amidst a sceptical crowd, a first time acknowledgement of love,,) is juxtaposed brilliantly with the dissimilarity of the context and the feelings of the recipients..! So while he was drunk, she is "cold stone sober"...😆 He confessed in a stupor, she confessed in her fullest senses..She was shocked, dismayed, betrayed even, by his confession. He is overjoyed, on top of the world with hers..and while all the spectators disregarded his love confession as secondary to his larger confession that evening..today her confession was THE key turning point !😃

The blessing from DP, his tad bit of partiality for Swara, warmed my heart..its those lil touches (the twitch/uplift of his lips (you had depicted this in "Ek Chutki Sindoor" as well - another very dear favourite) that delight me and make me realize the degree of detailing you etch out in your characters. Bravo !👏

I have rambled long and loud..so will wrap this up. Please do continue to delight us with your superb Swasan stories..they are much awaited..as much as the serial itself !

❤️ Pic.

Hey Pic.😊 Thanks again for your comment.

Like I said in my last brief reply to your comment, I wanted to give a more detailed reply once I got back to where I could use my lappie. (I was on business travel and my last reply was typed from my phone--a very awkward proposition for me) 😉

I am so, so very happy, Pic., that you liked my portrayal of Swara, Sanskaar and AP. To be frank, when I wrote the second installment : "Fire", which had a lot of focus on AP's regal pesona, her background etc, I was not too sure if many readers would like it. I am really happy that you did.

Yes, in my mind, Swara is the quintessential water personality: a giver, adaptable and bringing nourishment and joy wherever she goes. Sanskaar is the perfect embodiment of Earth: solid, dependable, patient, unyielding. 😊 And AP of course, with her shining, regal hauteur, is Fire. 😊

I am very happy that you liked the symmetry I tried to build between Swara's confession and Sanskaar's earlier one. I had wanted her to do this (I hope they show a public affirmation of her love, in front of the entire family, in the serial as well!), as it was needed for a "karmic" balance, like you said! 😊. The evolution of the deep, undying love between Sanskaar and Swara--Earth and Water--is what I wanted to show, they are so meant to be together! 😉

Sorry I did not do another elements piece on DP---but I didn't have concrete ideas for that, at present. But I certainly will think of doing one for him at a later stage, Sky/Space perhaps, like you said. Perhaps as a midquel/ epilogue to this series.

I am working on ideas for another SS now. The concept is a little different from the show's storyline as it it now (the basis is the same, but it departs from it a little before current events play out). Hope to have it up by the coming weekend. I will PM you when I do, and look forward to your review.

And Pic., I must say that the minute you decide to write any fiction on this forum, please do let me know. The fact that you're known to be a creative story spinner is not a surprise to me, the way you structure your posts and reviews is outstanding and shows a deep level of analysis. I would love to read anything you write!

Hey...
Seriously... you've got a new fan...😃I am totally in love with your writings.⭐️ The first two parts..I read just last night and this one just now.
All three of them are so amazingly written. 👏You're writing are so meaningful and deep. You've so beautifully described how the elements links to their respective characters. You've so thoroughly explored Swara, Sanskaar and AP's characters. It was a pleasure to read them. But this one is my favorite. Made me fall in love with SwaSan all over again. Seriosuly, I think AP will try something like this. The woman has more to her character than just being submissive wife of DP. Hopefully SwaSan will do same thing as they have done here. *fingers crossed *Would be looking forward to read more of you're work.

Thanks so very much 😊 Glad you liked all 3 parts of the "Elements" series. I had thought briefly, of doing "Air" on Ragini or Lakshya, but at moment, I am out of ideas for that. May do so in future. I am thinking of "Sky" as well. Perhaps as a midquel, or epilogue. Let's see.

In the meantime, have just started work on an SS. Hope to have it up the coming weekend. Its different from the present serial storyline, departs a bit from the plot after the SwaSan fake wedding/ maang filling scene. 😊 Will let you know when I post it.

BTW, I am Viji.

viji, how do you do it? How do you write one story after another, each one making me think this is the best i've ever read, and then the next one makes me reconsider that now this is the one, after all! I just loved, loved this series. Your elements series is something I will read again and again, for sure. You should be writing novels, i mean this seriously.

You tied in sanskaar's character to earth so superbly. The way he is always there for swara, patient and supportive. And i must say, I really liked that you didnt make him sacrifice his love and try to rejoin swara & lucky. He just left the final decision to swara, and i guess he knew, from her behavior, that she had feelings for him too. That's the kind of poised, confident sanskaar i would like to see in the serial as well.

sanskaar and swara's respectful confrontation with ap-- superb and top class. Amazingly well handled. Also your portrayal of DP. I must say you captured the dynamics of the family--including small nuggets like sujata's reaction, RP's angry look at AP etc..so very weel. it felt like I was there in the front hall of the maheshwari house!

amazing work, once again. I have become a huge fan of yours!

Again, I have no words to express how amazing an experience I had reading this. What a fitting end to a beautifully-written series! Congratulations on bringing all the elements to us in such a deliciously thought-provoking way.
Your characterizations and choice of elements were perfect, and yes, Sanskaar is Earth in so many ways: grounded, down to earth, real, fresh, raw, huge capacity to absorb (such as absorbing another person's pain), reliable, but also with plenty of mystery just like Earth has. Earth and Water do go along beautifully!

I am now becoming greedy and want to read more of your great work!

Hi Jean. Thanks so much for this lovely comment. You know how much I love your detailed and analytical posts, so this praise coming from you, really means a lot. Am very glad you felt I was able to do justice to the characters. Yes, Sanskaar and Swara do go very well together, don't they? 😊 Earth and Water--totally meant to be!! Karmic soulmates and that kind of thing...😉

I am presently working on "Sky", I know I said it would end with the trilogy, but several readers asked me to extend. So I have planned to make it a quartet--Sky should be up in the coming week. I just might make it a quintet--with Air, but my ideas for Air are still very much up in the air, at the moment. 😉

I will PM you when I update Sky. Do read and let me know what you think.
