I loved loved it, but I guess that's an understatement...😛...the entire story was beyond beautiful, but what caught my attention was the footnote I believe where you explain the symbiosis between earth and water. I was bowled over by that and it set me thinking.
I know I will going be a bit off track, so please bear with me 😛...I was thinking if swara is water and sansku is earth and they fit the characteristics to the "T"...then what is Ragini...she intrigues me...swara is one straight jacket character, but I feel ragu has layers and it makes her intriguing for me, at least...(though am in no way supporting her deeds )
Can Ragini be classified as a "fire" sign...somewhere I feel yes...fire radiates light, gives warmth, helps as a medium for survival, in a different way than water, it also nurtures, but if unchecked it causes destruction and when it rages beyond control it burns down everything to ash...Ragu b4 her transformation was like that only...she was a nurturer, though timid but still had the strength when required ( especially when she stood up to DP and singlehandedly announced and accepted before the whole society without batting an eyelid, shumi as her mum and swara as her sis...)...she radiated warmth when she cared for sanskaar when he was acting mad despite the knife which was pointed at her and after...and then she hurtled towards abyss with a jet speed in a similar fashion when fire starts raging, it gets difficult to control...
and if my chotu sa understanding say that Ragini is "Fire" then what is "lakshya"...air..?...fire requires air (rather oxygen) to burn...if we cut off the air supply fire dies down...like air which flows freely without inhibition, lucky is also like that...mostly he is also aimlessly wandering just as air flows without any direction...none can channelize air...when its gently we feel and enjoy its breeze, but when it rages it also causes destruction, though not at the same scale as say fire, or water or earth...
would be really grateful if you could answer my queries...I know its not the right medium, but still...sorry about that...
ah and yes I am still waiting for the story regarding ragini's redemption and its synchronization with swasan...see I have not forgotten...😆...though I will not pester you as ragini's portrayal needs more sensitivity than swasan and it can be emotionally taxing as well...but still would be waiting...how mean I am lolz...😉

Hi Kaku (I hope I am referring correctly)--Oh yes, please feel free to call me Viji 😊. Thanks so very much for your lovely and detailed comment. You've been one of the readers who's always been so motivating with comments, right from the time I started writing on SwaSan, almost 2 months ago now.

Am very glad you found the "Elements" series story and characterizations good. Yes, I do feel, just like Earth and Water, Sanskaar and Swara have a wonderful connect. Despite their differences, they are truly meant to be together, as they are mutually interdependent.

As to your lovely analysis of the other elements--I agree with you, that Lakshya is "Air". I loved your take on Ragini having certain aspects of Fire, too. I think you may have a very good point there. I am a little tied for time right now, but I will come back to you with a further reply on your comment, to discuss this in more detail. Am sure we would have a fascinating time. 😊

You know, one of the reasons I could not write "Air" is because I had envisioned it on Lucky. I am rather irritated at that character at the moment, so I could not be confident of making it a 4 shot (including Air). But I have now started work on "Sky", since a lot of readers asked me to continue this, beyond the trilogy. I'll not tell you right now who it is (feel free to guess 😉), and I shall surely PM you once its ready. I expect to post it sometime in the coming week.

Thanks again for reading and taking the time to comment. 😊

The way Swara stood up against Annapurna and DP's approval to their relationship were the high points for me. Sanskaar and his attachment to his Badi Ma yet the way he chose his love when he saw her favoring Laksh was something i an desperately waiting for in the show.

Thanks for the amazing work and I look forward to reading Air for Lakshya and Wood for maybe Sharmistha.. just a request. :)

Thanks so much Sharon. I am actually working now on "Sky" (Space). I had actually envisioned writing "Air" for Lakshya, but I am kinda too irritated with his character to do justice to it, at the moment. Perhaps later. 😉 I will hope to post "Sky" sometime in the coming week. Will PM you once its up.

Hey Kaku--one further thing to add to my last reply...thanks so much for your interest in the Ragini redemption Fic that I was originally thinking of, way back in end August 😊 But I do need more time for that, dear. At the moment, I have ideas for "Sky" (Space), as I mentioned, as the 4th to complete my quartet in the "Elements" trilogy. And then I will start work on an SS for which I already have ideas ready.

I will do the Ragini redemption...but I need time for that. Her character has gone so much into the dark, I need to make her remorse and journey back to sweetness and light, a convincing one. I will do my best to have it up later. Hope you would like it, when I do. 😊 But for the present, I will come back to you with these other Fics I have planned.

swara and sanskaar were just spot on. i loved how they stopped annapurna that too without insulting her.

Thanks so much for your comment. 😊. Glad you liked Sanskaar's and Swara's portrayal. Yes, I did want to show them winning over AP's objections in order to be together, but to do it in a dignified but firm manner.

Sanskaar and Swara are always meant to be, as far as I am concerned 😊

I could picture sanskaar's face when swara declared she loved him😳. Also, I loved the flashback part too. You described sanskaar's personality perfectly. Not only your stories but also the way that you write, the words that you use...everything is just soo right. It's perfect. Always.

I loved this os. Though I'm sad the series is over. Looking forward to reading more of your amazing works. Oh and thanks a lot for the pm😃😳

Hi Tuhina ...Just wanted to drop a note to tell you, that I am currently extending this OS "Elements" Trilogy into a Quartet, since you and a few other readers were asking me to write more on this. 😊 I am working on "Sky" (Space) now, and should have it up within this week.

Thanks once again for reading my work and always taking the time to comment. Its very motivating.

First of all i'm a bit angry...you PMed me and gave no link to this whatsoever. errr..why?

I joined India Forums, when i was in college, sometime during early 2012...my profile tells me, its January 2012; when I used to be a huge fan of Arnav and Khushi. Since then, I have briefly joined the D3 forum for another magical couple Swayam and sharon...and for the rhythm of dance, because thats my passion when I'm off work as a CA. From 2012-2015, for three years, this forum has been a part and parcel of my leisure..giving me free rein to continue freely with my creative side and to exult as the reader in me finds new stories to read everyday. Of course its also like having friends...because me being an only child and introvertish, there has not been a lot of those.

I have read a lot of stories by various writers; some of them could and should have been published and would have been well-admired But for whatever my humble opinion is worth, I think you managed to, in my eyes, surpass them with regard to this OS series.

Your thought process was certainly intriguing, yet the only thing which for me, has stood out most starkly throughout the series...is the art of writing. there is something very rhythmic about the way you write...its rather like a strain of one of Chopin's Nocturnes.

No matter what you write after this...and no matter whether i read any better stories in this forum in future, I will always remember that you were the one single writer in this forum, who has the most balance in their writings. Its a rare quality, so hold on to it...and use it. Its your greatest strength.

The plot and its execution, was brilliant, no doubt, but that we readers come across everyday. You wrote your prose in a poetic way---thats the best compliment I can give you.

and yes..me being a Virgo...I could relate to another typical virgo really well here. and the old love...young in spirit, when the boyishness had not gone out of the person, and the sudden. brutal hit which made him grow up...the memories and the moving on..and the final reception of the mature love, you said it all.👏

love---
Medha.

Medha...Just wanted to add, I've started work on making this Elements Trilogy into a Quartet. Am writing out "Sky" (Space) now, thank you so much for all the motivation you've given me throughout. I hope to have this OS up this coming week, will PM you (without forgetting the link this time!) when its done. I won't tell you who it's on, but I'm pretty sure you can guess. 😊

Awww... this was such a sweet OS. I loved Sanskar as Earth sign(I am too 😊). Solid and dependable, that kind of defines Sanskar! Glad Swara gave her full support to him. I guess in the serial they will touch upon the divorce thing(as per spoiler) but I loved your take on this in this OS.👏

Thanks so much 😊 Glad you liked it. And you being an Earth sign, I'm so happy you liked Sanskaar's portrayal, it gives me confidence that I got it mostly right 😊.
I would love to see this---Swara and Sanskaar calmly assering their right to be together. Let's see, after all this whacko divorce drama, it may happen in the future!

Okay Viji, first of all I really love the way you write Sanskaar & Kavita. Second Chances had such warming flashback of them & now this. God I am going to be so pissed at the makers if they try bringing Kavita back again, especially as a negative character :/ Their moment here was SO beautiful, SO relatable.
Hmmm so Sanskaar's element is Earth. Actually you're right, Sanskaar just cannot be restricted or described in one element. He genuinely has various qualities of them all & that's the best part of his character, never one dimensional. IDK but if I had to assign him one zodiac sign, it would be Scorpio. What do you think? 😆 Yeah but earthy qualities, he definitely possesses. Efficient, Organised, Resourceful but his aggressiveness & passion are too much to be earthy & hence declared, Sanskaar Maheshwari can never be restricted to just one element & that's just how I like it 😳

God you make Annapurna such an interesting character. Like I really hate her tyrannical ways but felt a bit of sympathy for her too. Her character is SO well defined & I love the way you showed her maintaining her demeanor like she always does. I hope the makers do bring in this shade to her, it will be hella interesting to watch tbh.

Finally the water decided that it is incomplete without the Earth. Loved the way Swara stood up for them along with Sanskaar calmly putting in his view but without overpowering & clouding her mind. That's Swara & Sanskaar for you ❤️ How amazing is DP? You gotta love this guy. Seriously he's amazing & I remember once mentioning both DP & Sanskaar sitting on the opposite ends of the dining table, highlighting their similarities & differences & how Sanskaar among the three brothers, is the perfect successor to DP. We are on the same page again 😳😆

I SO loved the honeymoon talks. FINALLY getting to live away from the mental family atleast for a few weeks. Phew! Hahaha the last line, classic Sanskaar 😆

Lovely trilogy Viji. Absolutely brilliant & seriously one of the best I've ever read. Can you please continue this further? Yeah Air or Sky will do 😳 Or maybe start a new trilogy with new concept or something? Really cannot wait to read more from you. Excellent ⭐️

Thanks so much for the detailed comment, Kavya. 😊 🤗

I do like to write bits on Sanskaar and Kavita. She does appear to have been a wonderful person, the flashbacks show him so relaxed and carefree and boyish around her. The lovely thing is, him feeling such deep love for Swara is bringing those aspects back into his character. Of course, he is more mature and grounded now, but that lowering of emotional barriers, that youthful exuberance, is making a reappearance. I also hope and pray the makers don't bring her back in a negative role. Would KILL the image I have in mind for her! 😊

Glad you liked Sanskaar's portrayal. I agree, he cannot be confined to one element alone, which is why I made him say "I contain multitudes" 😉. His analysis can't be dovetailed neatly into once chapter...but I do feel he has more characteristics of Earth than any other element. That unyielding, patient, determined and implacable nature. Mind you, I am a water sign myself, so I am not claiming him for my own sign. 😉

But yeah--I do firmly believe that Sanskaar and Swara--like Earth and Water--are mutually interdependent, despite apparent contradictions. They cannot exist without the other.

Kavya, tell me one thing--is it crazy to care so much for fictional characters? 😊 😳 I think I am totally obsessed--thankfully its not Ragini level obsessed!

Glad you liked the portrayal of DP and AP in this one, and also DPs suggestion that Sansku & Swara go for their honeymoon. Overdue, right? 😉

I expect to have "Sky" up this coming wednesday or thursday. Shall PM/ Scrap you.
