I dont like the unnecessary rude behaviour by Star Plus' Draupadi..but here she is replying only wen she is provoked...So I am liking it...😉

However the CVs could have avoided all this...Bcoz our Indian public has ultra-sensitivity n sharp memory wwn it comes to Draupadi's words...but then manifest amnesia wen it comes to the words of Duryodhan n other characters.
So Duryodhan's words will be forgotten but Draupadi's mud pot might be etched in history...😭
I really hope very few people are watching this show...😭

@Red Dont worry this is how it is 😃😆

Exactly Sabhayata...
Even in Star Plus...they did the exact same thing.
Right from the very beginning Draupadi was being taunted for her polyandry!!

If I not mistaken except Karna n Dushasen noone ever insulted Draupadi for her polyandry.
And if Karna's words are interpolation...then except 🤬 Dushasen noone insulted her for this reason...And here everyone seems to have problem with her 'Paanch Paanch Pati'!!🤬

No Amrita. I was reminded of a line from someone's speech in Indian Parliament long ago - "There is only one man here, Indira Gandhi." I was saying Sony Drau also can be awarded with same dialogue!!! Manliness is after all a quality of mind, as much as virginity is. 4 of Panchakanyas had relations with more than one man. Still they are sacred virgins. Why? It is because of the quality of their minds, I think. And mental qualities are not monopoly of a particular gender. So I said SonyDrau is a man, not in any other ways.

Actually all 5 Panchakanyas had relationship with more than one man.
Ahalya
Mandodari
Tara
Kunti
Draupadi

Ma Sita is not one of Panchakanyas as is commonly mistaken. It is Kunti who is a Panchakanya...😳

As for the manliness...ok I am happy with the explanation...👍🏼
Objection overruled.

Whether she sacrificed for Dharma or not is debatable. Some say she did...some say she didnt.
But that is irrelevant here.

Firstly if she did have polyandry...then though uncommon, it was not unheard of.
If it had been a taboo...then Draupadi would have got ostracized
The fact that she became the Empress despite the polyandry proves the practice was there...though it was rare.

And if the practice is there...n wen the men themselves had so many wives n concubines...they had NO right to question her. Period. Unless she herself was unhappy with the arrangement.
In a society where monogamy is strictly followed by EVERYONE...such questions might be raised.
But at Dwapar Yug...this kind of question is hypocritical.

I dont support polygamy in any form...be it polygyny or polyandry but this hypocrisy really irks me.

yeaahh... thts the fact... We all just forget the mindset of previous society nd perspective nd start debating with our society rules. tht's so silly! Al least i think so. We don't know what was their mindset at tht time, then why some people then insult her!

Really nice to find someone who thinks like me. Generally people say that Draupadi was sad due to polyandry, although there is no such mention in the epic that I found. The thing that irritates me is when someone says that Polygyny was OK but polyandry made a woman characterless.

The advert Karna fans always say if she had married Karna she would have been saved of polyandry (although Karna surely had multiple wives). The fact is that she loved all her husbands the intensity of love might have varied though.

Coming back to Draupadi I dont think she sacrificed.

Speaking of the Karna's statement being interpolations, I am sure it wasn't. Although I do like Karna to an extent, I dont need a false reason to like him. He did have a major flaw where if he started hating anyone he would just find excuses to insult that person (his hatred for Arjun) is a proof of it)
