Hello, Charvi! 😊
Yes, Sruthi di. As we go back in the yugas, the meanings get deeper. And the misconceptions increase! 😆

And Srutha di, true! If you understand Krishna, you understand the Mahabharat. If you understand Shri Ram, you understand the Ramayan. And if you understand God, you understand life.

My Thatha (grandpa) told me that at differnt stages of life, you should follow different scriptures. When you are a child, you should read the Mahabharat, so you can understand the meaning of family and relationships with mother, father, and especially siblings. When you are married, you should follow the Ramayan, because it teaches us the way a married relationship should run. And in the elderly years, you should follow the Bhagavat Gita, as it contains the secrets of life and death. What do you think?

For me, on the top of it, MB gives the ideas to survive in society, more like social survival.. And Ramayana gives the ideas of maintaining bonds and relations, human emotions. But when one sees in the deep, we see that both essentially give life lessons on both social and emotional skills :)

And then, the life of Krishna is an entire league in itself.. Some other stories which I feel are life changing are those of the episode of the Samudra Manthan, Lord Hanuman s stories of bravery and even stories from the lives of so called antagonists, e. g. Shakuni..
Fine then, good night :)

They do :)
But then, Ramayan teaches us how an ideal society should be; Mahabharat teaches us how to try and make an ideal society.
Shri Ram was ideal in all ways, he knew what to do when; Dharmaraj was not ideal. He was human, he made mistakes. But he learnt from his mistakes. He got Dharma naturally. He learnt the correct way to implement a kingdom of Dharma. But he was not simply words. He acted on his words, and did establish Indraprastha.
People will not understand the Ramayana easily not because it isn't straightforward, but because it tends more towards ideal society, and people don't like the sound of that, for that means they have to be flawless. Some people might like it, but most people do nt want to make their negativity their strength.

Once again beautiful and path crossing episode. It showed the contrast of Ram and Ravan once again. Ram even when his father is not there remembers him and does his duty as a son by doing the Sradha for him. Ravan his father is alive. But not for once he thinks about the person who has given him birth. In the Mahatwakamsha of Kaikasi what his mother forgot to teach Ravan is the fact that for him to be on this earth both parents were needed. Hence his father too has to be respected.

But for Kaikasi Vishravass was a tool. A medium to build her empire. Today when that empire was going from under her feet, only her husband comes. The person she had discarded for her empire. He comes and says she is his wife and she is his responsibility. Once again the beautiful Vishnu Maya where the person you discarded without realizing the person's importance, you have to bow in front of that person.

If we have to go to Ayodhya same will happen with Shanta. The daughter of Ayodhya whom Ayodhya had discarded, Ayodhya will finally have to publicly realize her sacrifice. Yes Shanta didn't ask for justice. Shanta didn't ask for power. But Ram will give her that. For the supreme sacrifice she made for the kingdom with her life. The forgotten daughter of Ayodhya will be given the rightful place. I will be really waiting for those scenes. It starts with Shanta, it has to end with Shanta too.

Now coming to Dakshina. Here I will draw parallel with MB. When Ravan asks Sita as Dakshina, Ram says Dakshina can only be that thing which is with him. First thing Sita is not with him. Second only gold, money, fruits, flowers and other materials can be given as Dakshina. Not a human. You cannot trade a human, you cannot give a human. Then how did Yudhi kept his brothers and wife as deal. What was the dharma he knew. When we see each of Ram's action we see the level of maryada he remained in each of his interactions. His excellent knowledge of dharma and its application. Then he gives Ravan a matka with water. Very symbolic of our body which has 70% water in it. Actually if you look for doing the shradd of his father, Vishnu was gifting Ravan with life. This is where I say oppourtunities, chances come disguised. They don't look like what you expect them to be like. Some understand it and idiots like Ravan discard it.

Ravan breaks that pot and stands on it. It shows his ego. He himself has destroyed the life which he has got for the good thing he committed. This is what we do. In our ego we destroy the good karma with our own bad karma.

@Shrutha in MB action and direction appears different. There is an ego in Arjuna, but at the same time his emotional binding chose Krishna. He has a love for relations too. Arjuna represents that battle with head and heart at every point.
When you come to Ramayana look at the relation between Ram and Hanuman. There is no ego. Swami and Sevak are one. Arjun doesn't understand what Krishna wants, but Hanuman knows what Ram wants and take steps to do it.
Go to satya yuga Prahlad-Vishnu. Prahlad is Vishnu, Vishnu is Prahlad. Change happens through Prahlad. He just becomes a medium of change.
Prahlad knows Narayan represents the change, change is the only constant from mother's womb. Change will happen at the right time. He says change everywhere. Everything is changing every second. It is not Narayan he sees, it is the change he sees. That's why he says only Narayanaya namah is constant. Not hirnayaya namah.
Sanskriti changes, Prakriti is constant. Sun is Centre, Earth moves. But scientists have been killed for telling this truth. Because people see Sun moving. Can you reach Prahlad. Can u understand change is the only constant. Then you reach Narayan.
