Today's overall episode was good, but I really don't like the interference of Gauri Ma in Ramayana. She and Shivji did not interfere in every event. This was Lakshmi Narayan's leela, and all the Gods let it play out as Lakshmi Narayan had planned. Seeing Gauri's anxiety over Sita is unrealistic and too human, earthly. Adishakti would have known how the events would unfold. Gauri Ma was no human incarnation. She was a divine entity herself, and should be portrayed thus.

Sita did not need Gauri Ma's constant protection, as she was a form of Adishakti herself and capable of protecting herself from Ravan's advances.

Also, in the Jay Vijay story, one thing I did not like was Vishnu defending Jay Vijay against the Sanat Kumaras, saying they were only doing their duty and the Sanat Kumars could not control their anger.

In reality, Jay Vijay had behaved arrogantly with the Sanat kumars and insulted them, barring their entry into Vaikunta for no other reason than that they were kids, and they wanted to mock them. This is why the Sanat kumaras cursed them, not because they could not "control" their anger. The Sanat kumaras told Jay Vijay that they were not worthy of being guardians to the humble Vishnu himself, by behaving so arrogantly.

Vishnu himself supported the Sanat kumaras' curse, but modified it only out of love for Jay Vijay.

They are now going full speed with the story.. Can't understand what's the hurry. They wasted 1 full week in Surpi scenes when she got her nose cut .. and the last 2 weeks were spent in Lanka drama.. When it comes to lanka or people associated with it.. scenes drag with lot of mirch masala and fiction thrown in.. when it comes to Ram.. they go like a bullet train even skipping important portions like kabandha vadh etc 😲. Actually, Kabandha is the demon who directs Ram and Lakshman to Rishyamukha parvat and Shabari ashram

Jai SitaRama. While watching the current set of episodes, I found that Siya Ke Ram serial have skipped the story of Kabandh rakshas who was cursed by Rishi Sthulshira. After cremation of Jatayu, Shri Ram cut the arms of Kabandha & thus the rakshas got liberated. Kabandha was a gandharva named Vishavasu. Shabari story has some sequential error. According to this serial, Angad from Rishyamukh parvat saw Ram-Lakshman coming & they went to inform Sugreev. Then, Rama-Lakshman went to Shabari mata. But, that is not correct. According to Sri Ramayanam, Kabandha told Rama about Mata Shabri & Mata Shabri told Rama about Sugreev who resides in Rishyamukh parvat near Pampa sarovar. Here, they showed Sri Rama refused to take food in ashram of Mata Shabri & Lakshman tries to convince Sri Rama. Entirely wrong. They also wrongly showed Sri Rama with His headlock ( Jata ) open when He enters Shabari ashram. In all photos also we find, Sri Rama accepting fruits from Shabari with headlock ( Jata) on head. Dr. Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana ( 1987) & Anand Sagar's Ramayan ndtv Imagine ( 2008) showed it accurately. These are huge distortions & must be brought into notice.

CV's are becoming inscrutable to me day by day. They are more interested in showing Lanka politics but not important events. To me the whole open hair of Ramji was a very bollywood thing. I am sorry. Don't intend to hurt anybody's feelings. But if one sees Friday's episode then we have Raavan saying Ram's name and screen shifts to Ram, hair no longer knotted. I found it very silly that Ram and Lakshman have been shown doing nothing except for running since haran. It was an important scene ; how Ram loses his sanity momentarily running after trees and birds asking for Sita's whereabouts. It's the ever impulsive Lakshman who consoles him at this time.
I don't know but I felt a slight tinge of discomfort yesterday between the brothers. In this time of crisis the duo had come even closer but of course CVs have been hell bent on distorting Lakshmans' relationship with Ram- Siya ever since vanvas began, so no surprises.
I had heard somewhere that kabandh wanted to eat one of them so Ram and Lakshman kept suggesting themselves so the other one could be spared. I was waiting to see the scene.

CVs really need to give Ram his matted hair back. The jata in Hinduism is considered extremely sacred and compulsory when one is in the guise of a rishi/sanyasi.

Ram and Lakshman wore their hair matted every single day of the 14 year vanvaas, and it was only when they stepped foot in Ayodhya and Kaushalya specifically requested Vasishta was it removed.

The removal of the jata signified the end of the vanvaas. It is a major distortion to see Ram running hither and tither with loose hair.

Lord Ram removing his jata during vanvaas would never ever ever have happened. In fact, it would have been considered inauspicious, particularly in light of Sita haran.

CVs have been showing Ram very out of character lately. He almost seems like a possessed lover who's gone crazy over his beloved's disappearance. Ram was grieved, yes, but he did not lose control of himself and neither did he go crazy.

I hope CVs get back on track and show Ram matting his hair again once they actually reach Kishkindha.

jklp, I agree with you and am also disturbed by Ram removing his jata, the very symbol of his exile and sacredness, but if I were you I would remove all references to previous adaptations of Ramayan on TV, as it's not allowed in this forum and you'd only have your post locked.

Okay, finally caught up w/ this week's episodes.

For starters, I hate the Shankar-Gauri convos about SiRa, like they have nothing else better to do. While the Jaya-Vijaya stories were good, I wasn't quite a fan of Gauri narrating them to Sita.

Also, Ravan was a larger than life figure for the entire universe, forget Lanka. Here in Lanka, everybody seems happy to be plotting against him. First, it's Shurpi trying to find out innovative ways of assassinating Sita. Then it's the trio of Sulochana-Mandodari-Vibheeshan who are trying to smuggle Sita out of Lanka. And finally, Kumbhakarna, woken up by Shurpi, goes out to assassinate her and discovers her Lakshmi roop. The same Kumbhakarna whose views on Sita haran were no different from Vibheeshan's!!! 🤪

And Sulochana? How stupid are these CVs? Sulochana, from what's known about her, was one of the few pativratas out there - her name's right there w/ Savitri, Sita, Anusuya and some others. Here, she's out on an expedition to subvert her sasurji's wishes, and after her husband catches her in the act of betrayal, she confronts him for betraying her. They've just destroyed whatever sanctity there was in their relationship, in addition to depicting an absurd representation of the dominance that Ravan and Indrajit had over Lanka. Here, everybody else is plotting against them

My latest deer diary entry - Ravan vs Nari Shakti - inspired by the new promos. Enjoy 😆
