In Valmiki Ramayana, is it Indrajit or Ravan who threw the shakti towards Lakshman? And did they throw it just at Lakshman or at Ram and the entire vaanar sena also? And Sushena here was a monkey physician and not Ravan's physican, right?

I know Valmiki's version of the shakti/sanjeevani incident is very different from the Adhyatma/Tulsidas version, which is more popular.

Shakti Spear Was used by Indrajit Only , but I have read somewhere that in some versions Raavan threw that

But I think Indrajit using the Shakti is more accepted

The version which mentions shakti being used by Raavan , In that , Raavan Used it on Ram , and Lakshman came in between and thus got struck by it

The one in which indrajit threw , it was directly aimed at lakshman

This is what I know and I am not entirely sure of it

Meghnad will be forever known as 'Meghnad' in this show. As the title of 'Indrajeet' belongs to Raavan. At least, that's what the CVs believe, I suppose.
Also, in the epic, Vibhishan is able to recognize Sita as an avataar of Maha Lakshmi, right? Did he see her divine form here, in the show?

ok il try to answer this😊
As per my knowledge ...it was ravan who threw shakthi astra on lakshman not indrajith...
Nd yes sushena was monkey physician not ravan's😃 I always wondered how come a king like sugriva didnt have raj vadya 😆 But wen i read valmiki ramayana( the book i have-translation by pullela sriramachandrudu -telugu writer) it cleared my confusion😃

So great are our epics no loopholes at all...each and every thing described in detail...😊

Ps : im silent reader of this thread...learnt a lot from u guys ...thank u all😊

As per Valmiki Ramayan, both Ram and Lakshman were bound by Indrajit's nagpaksh and were released by the arrival of Garuda. Shakti weapon was used by Indrajit on Lakshman who was trying to save Vibhishan from Ravan's attack. Infact, Indrajit had made Ram and Lakshman unconcious by his Brahmastra. Sushena had revived them by sending Hanuman to Himalaya to get the special herbs. When Lakshman was injured by Ravan, it was Hanuman's second trip to Himalaya for the 4 specific herbs.

Guys in of the version I read and also heard from my elders (grand parents) that Sita was so averted with Ravan that she never used to see him or talk to him directly but whatever she had to say, she used to hold a grass in front of her and used to address that grass. Sorry I am not aware of the author of this version. Here our Sita is directly giving lectures to Ravan.

That is what both Valmiki and Tulsidas wrote. Sita always had a blade of grass between Ravan and her. Some versions say two, for she tells Ravana that one is Ram, the other is Lakshman; as long as they are with me, and I with them, you can't touch me.

Even I had heard about the grass. But my granny told me that she used to protect herself. She never looked at him and she kept that blade of grass so if Ravan tries to misbehave she tells him that such is the power of pativrata lady that it can turn a grass to weapon. So that's how she protected herself.

The grass a weapon, they have used it with Indra's son, so they would have changed it here. Then ladies never used to talk to men other than her brothers and BILs (in case they are younger to her) directly. hence Sita used to use the grass to convey her feelings / emotions / aversion etc which she wanted to convey to Ravan. And also the BILs (younger ones) never used to see their SILs and that was the reason Lakshman could identify only Sita's payals and Ram could not identify as his eyes were filled with tears and his vision was blurred. But here Lakshman got Sita's ring and ram identified it instantly. And even the way Sita removed her jewels was pathetic.

first of all, I think 'Shakthi weapon' must be folklore. because indrajit never made lakshman alone to fall in unconscious. He made Ram Lakshman to fall unconscious two times (first time naagpash and second time bramastra).Raavan attacked Lakshman by A weapon made by Maya, that not mentioned as Shakthi Weapon in Ramayana. so I need citation from Ramayana to confirm who used Shakthi Weapon.
