Hey friends,

This will be the official EPIC distortion and frustration thread hence kindly please use this thread to serve that purpose instead of creating multiple threads about the same.

All members can use this thread to criticize the storyline/Cast/CVs/anything at all.. You can post all your negative thoughts/feelings/anger/criticism towards the show out in this thread ONLY.

Before posting, do keep in mind some of the main forum rules:

No Personal Attacks/No Bashing- Members are not to be bashed/criticized for having opinion/taken pot shots at, personal digs etc here. That goes for forum members, actors, characters and Dev. Team members.
When you come here BE prepared to hear criticisms as well, to get more participation discussions are needed and not just praises and appreciations. If you feel the criticism is wrong, reply to it properly within the limits of IF COC. Main forum happenings are NOT to be discussed here!

No Chatting/Spamming-DO NOT chat or spam, try to stick to the topic when replying. Do not go off topic. Do not quote a post more than 3 times.

No Comparing Shows-Comparisons between the current and previous shows/other actors or other mythological shows are NOT allowed! Each show has its viewers and each actor have their fans. Many a times such comparisons lead to fights. Its a humble request to all members that Please DO NOT post topics comparing shows/actors/characters AT ALL!

Jayant does not poke his own eyes with some magical weapon on his own. It is written that a Rama Bhaan never misses its target (Shri Ram faced south east and sent an arrow to the north west part of India to kill the enemies of Samudra Rajan) nor does it go waste.

Liked that Jayant was punished for his dusht Karma and not forgiven without any punishment.. He was punished and I was afraid that they would white wash it by making him go scott free after what he did.

Sugriv was not an incompetent warrior as far as I know. Vaali was just better and had the onus of his boon. Why are we shown that Sugriv was not worthy or strong?

Shri Ram and Sita scene was nice but it was in the back of my mind that Star Sita has two very different reactions to the same request if the requester is Shri Ram or if it is Lakshman. Last week, a similar request from Lakshman was met with irritation and today Sita's reaction was so much more calmer. Her question about how long can she be confined to her own house was valid. Why such inconsistency in writing? It makes Star Sita look hypocritical.

BTW reading about the Surpi promo, I am very worried for poor Lakshman. He will be left to shoulder all the blame on Sita haran😭 Poor guy cannot seem to catch a break.

Surpi is meeting Ram multiple times before the nose cut😲 The Surpi dress up was stretched.

The episode was far better than the ones last week but was a filler when compared to the past 2 episodes.

inconsistency of Star Sita rxn and two different rxns for the same request shows two different writers for the same situation😆

saw the promo today...seems like Laxman's quota of getting the scoldings is not yet full...wasn't Sita quite harsh in the promo !!!

Harini, can u plz shed light on Sita ji's rxn for cuttin Shurpnakha nose in Ramayan?

Good episode overall except long surpanaka dressing 😕 I like SKR version of jayant story. Why would Ram use a powerful weapon Brahmastra to punish jayant ? which was written in few versions of Ramayana.

Hello. I have been a silent reader in this forum for quite sometime now. I like the show except some aspects like Lakshman being made the punching bag. The latest promo has got me on the edge.

It indirectly puts the blame of haran on Lakshman. According to me the promo shows Lakshman as the villian and Surpi as innocent. It says Lakshman did apmaan of a Naari, while in reality he did it for defending Sita, as an act of defence.

This wrong portrayal of Lakshman makes my heart weep 😭

He is my favourite character from the epic because of his love and devotion for his brother and SIL. The sacrifices he has made, certainly he doesn't deserve to be treated like this

I like SKR for the human touch they have given to most of the characters in the show. They are more realistic. But I am disappointed with the way they handled Lakshman and Sita relationship in vanvas. Their interactions before vanvas was beautifully handled. There are very few scenes they showed the concern and compassion of sita towards lakshman. They show them arguing most of the time. I will wait for the actual episode than commenting on the promo. The actress playing Sita's expressions when she changes from being soft to angry or upset are not portrayed well. She is good at acting the softer side of Sita but her angry expressions are not good.

That was to explain a few things to the world in general. No one can get away harming, hurting a woman without being punished.
That for a great marksman, even a piece of string or grass is equivalent to Brahmaastra. (In tamil there is a saying Vallavanuku pullum ayidham.)

The most important reason though is that Shri Ram does not get angry but when he does it is either because Sita ma is hurt or someone who has asked him protection/his bhakt is hurt. Shri Ram's love for Sita just converted to the kind of astra that he decided to use on Jayant.. the most sacred of them all.
