71st National Film Awards: Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji give out BFFs goals at ceremony; make us go aww

Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Vikrant Massey and Mohanlal were the top stars to be present at the 71st National Film Awards. After three decades of being Bollywood’s superstar, SRK won it for Jawan. Rani Mukerji his co-star and good friend received the award for Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The two sat beside one another with Vikrant Massey to the left of the actress. Shah Rukh Khan had flown down from Poland for the event. He has been busy with the shoot of King, where he plays a mafia don. For the ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan chose a blue bandhgala outfit.

In one of the videos we can see Shah Rukh Khan holding the pallu of Rani Mukerji’s saree. She wore a brown silk saree with a golden border for the function. The Pallu was really long and literally swept the floor. SRK stepped in and picked it up from there.

Shah Rukh Khan also fixed Rani Mukerji’s hair before she went up on stage. They gave us the true besties vibes who always watch out for one another. Rani and he exchanged a small hug at the venue much to the delight of all Rahul and Tina fans from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The two have been romantically paired in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Chalte Chalte.

In another video, we can see Rani Mukerji helping Shah Rukh Khan wear his medal. She also clicked a lot of selfies of them. Karan Johar was also there as Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani won for Best Movie with Wholesome Entertainment. Vaibhavi Merchant won an award for her choreography in Dhindora Baje Re from the same movie.

There is a video where we can see him help Mohanlal’s wife with her chair so that she can sit next to them. The hall erupted with cheers as he walked up to take the National Award. His fans believed he deserved this a decade ago for Swades but we guess everything has its own time.
