weekend getaway

She looks around the room once, giving in to a mild attack of nostalgia. Everything is spic and span, no trace of the flowers trampled, no clothes strewn around. Housekeeping had removed all traces of their stay while they were out for lunch... she closes her eyes a moment, smiling... the dregs of romance were still there for her...she didn't have to look for tumbled sheets or the perfume of the crushed petals to remember...behind her lids she can see it all again, feel him, his arms around her, his lips on hers, and ... she turns to the window, a blush warming her cheeks.

His arms come around her then, and she leans into him, drawing his hands tighter together.

D : (drops a kiss on her cheek) kya soch rahi thi tum...

N : (wistful, looking out the window) Daksh ham kab nikal rahe hai yaha se...?

D : (nuzzling her shoulder) thodi der me... kyu... (smile in his voice) jane ka mann nahi kar raha...

N : nahi wo... (she turns in his arms) Daksh ye do dino me...iss impersonal si room se... kitni yade jud gayi hai...

D : (brushing a thumb across her cheekbone) yadein...

She smiles, looks at her bracelet and the smile softens.

N : (still looking at the bracelet, softly) ha...bahot sweet hai...

He raises her chin so he can look into her eyes...he keeps looking, and smiles when another blush adorns her face.

D : (places arms on her shoulders) vaise...Mrs. Patwardhan, bahot smart hai aap...(tweaks her nose) apne hamare saval ka jawab nahi diya...aur counter question kar diya hmm...

N : (slightly confused, thinking) tumhare sawal ka... (her vision darts to the bed; snaps back to him) ha woh...main...

again the bed gets a sideways glance, and he picks it up.

D : oho. (amused tone) Tho aap ye soch rahi thi... (slowly backing her towards the bed)

N : (flustered, blushing beet red) kya... (he scoops her up in his arms) Daksh...kya kar rahe ho tum...

D : (puts her down on the bed) kya kar raha hu... (leans in, smiling) thoda aur sweet karne ki koshish kar raha hu...yadon ko...

N : (smiles, then remembers)Par Daksh... hame... jana haina...

D : ha... (strokes hr hair) thodi der bad...

N : Daksh tum-(he places a finger on her lips, stopping her)

D : shh. Bahot bolti ho tum kabhi. Bad me, Matlab bad me. Chek out nahi kiya hai abhi so koi problem nahi hogi...

She opens her mouth again, and this time he cuts her off with a kiss.

They come up for air.

N : Daksh...

D : (brows raised) ab kya...

Rather than telling him, she smiles a secret smile, grabs him by the collar, and shows him the rest...
