BTS leader RM, Kim Taehyung, Hyun Bin and host of stars grace red carpet of Park Chan-Wook's No Other Choice

The VIP premiere of Park Chan-wook’s movie No Other Choice took place in Seoul today. He is one of the most celebrated South Korean filmmakers with works like The Handmaiden and Decision To Leave under his belt. His new movie No Other Choice stars Lee Byung-Hun and Son Yejin. Lee Byung-Hun is one of the most famous faces of their drama and film industry. Global fans know him as the Frontman of Hwang Dong-Hyuk’s Squid Game. Son Yejin is known for her blockbuster Korean drama Crash Landing On You. They play a couple whose life is hit by financial crisis in the mid 90s.

Top stars at VIP Premiere of No Other Choice

A number of celebs were present to see the movie. They included the spouses of the lead couple. Min Jung was there to cheer for Lee Byung-Hun. Other stars included Ju Ji-Hoon, Yoo Yeon-seok, Hyun Bin, Lee Soo-Hyuk, Lee Jun-Hyuk, Im Siwan from Squid Game 3, Oh Yoonah, Gong Hyo-Jin of When The Stars Gossip and her husband Kevin Oh. Fans were gaga seeing Hyun Bin who looked very dashing in denims and a corduroy jacket over a plain white shirt.

No Other Choice has done its rounds of the festival circuit. It was also shown at the Busan International Film Festival. Park Chan-wook’s movie is based on a novel. Lee Byung-Hun has said this is the toughest role of his career so far. The movie is being considered as the nation’s entry for the Oscars 2026.

BTS members Kim Taehyung and RM were the star attraction. BTS V met up with the filmmaker when he was on a break from the military. RM knows him from before as his song Closer was used in Decision To Leave. It was one of the best songs from his solo album, Indigo. No Other Choice is keenly awaited by all cinema lovers from the world over.
