hm... this thread has become very thanda for sure. Let me try giving brief feedback for all the songs.

Ashish - Both your songs were good. And I am really glad that you did not sing Lata's Jyoti Kalash. The only thing I can probably say is that you could have started at a bit higher scale. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Seema - You have a very sweet & melodious voice. Your kuhu kuhu is pretty good. Just practice the alaaps a little more to make them perfect. Other song was also very enjoyable. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Raju - I enjoyed listening to both your songs. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ Wish you had sung another classcial song sung originally by a male singer. Would love to listen to you singing Laga chunari me daag or Madhuban me radhika. (well, Raju is probably the only contestant who has never posted on any of the threads...so not even sure if he reads all the great feedback he gets ... )

Regarding my classical song choice - This was probably an unknown song for most of you here. I wanted to try something more traditionally classical rather than a typical filmy classical composition. I must thank Tanaz as she has always been so flexible and has let me do the songs of my choice๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ This is one song in the entire contest that has given me tremendous personal satisfaction ๐Ÿ˜ณ I will surely miss all the great time I have had recording songs during this contest...

Good luck to all the contestants! Keep singing .....

This round has been one of the best rounds till date....๐Ÿ‘

Lovely songs and lovely renditions.Singing such tough songs without any background music support or even tanpura backup is not only tough, but too challenging.

This round all of you excelled .First of all I want to applaud all 4 of you for the treat you have been giving us so long. The next major thing unique about all four of you is each of your voice...Each one of them is simply great...Raju, Seemaji, Rupadi, Ashishda.... really, all four fo your voice is addictive...can go on and on listening to your songs and not get bored...it has magic...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Now to this round feedback. But before I put it, I would like to make one thing clear, its an opinion of one who has been following the contest from day 1. My intention is not to hurt you or your mentors but pin point the positives and the flaws that i felt so that you can correct it if need be or simply ignore it..๐Ÿ˜† mentors are requested not to pounce on me...joking..๐Ÿ˜†

1. Ashishda, when I saw that you sang Man Tarpat Hari Darshan ko Aaj, i was a bit sceptical-its a tough song based on a tough Raaga, and I wasn't sure how much justice you could do....but after listening to your rendition, I stand not only corrected , but salute you for the way you sang it. You have sang it effortlessly, the raaga elements all in place, technically and feel wise absolutely perfect.

hats off...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

The masti song, was just amazing , especially the yoddeling part....you aced it...my God, I am your fan now...how did you carry it off so effortlessly?

The masti feel was there, the mood was there, sur was in place, the final punch.....simply awesome....๐Ÿ‘

In this series, one thing got proved....its very difficult to pinppoint your genre of forte...cause you have tried as many different types as possible and excelled in most, did a very good job.Your song selections so far has been simply awesome, and that has done justice to your versatility. There used to be only one shortcoming i found easrlier and that was though technically perfect, the feel would be lacking a bit at times. But in this round, technically and feel wise you have done excellent. In this round, when both the songs are combined, you emerge as the winner in my eyes....๐Ÿ‘

2. Rupadi๐Ÿ˜†.... You are an effortless classical singer. You voice has a throw, that is simply amazing. The notes were all clear, and technically you are simply great.Generally you can arouse the feel also effortlessly. To top that you have a very soothing voice...๐Ÿ‘ one can go on and on listening to you....and you are a classical music lovers delight....

Loved both your songs.technically perfect.Your classical song was simply awesome. The happy/ masti song was sung beautifully too. The deewana mastana song sounded like an extension of the classical/semiclassical round. The feel of happiness/masti part was missing there in the happy song.May be the song selection could have been a little different?

This contest has established you as a Classical specialist...๐Ÿ‘ and you are simply great in this genre...you should continue with your riyaaz and may be consider professional classical singing too...๐Ÿ‘

Overall in this round, I would rank you #2(ashishda scored over you in the happy masti song and song selection)

3.Seemaji : what a tough song to select and you did very well. You are another singer who has a very soothing voice which can touch the soul. You sang both the Bahaar- Yaman and Jaunpuri-Yaman antaras. Generally most singers skip either the Bahaar one or the Jaupuri one..you did very well.

You still have a bit of cold it seems, but your final punch overshadowed that point.A lovely song, beautifully rendered without compromising on the feel.Simply briliiant !!!๐Ÿ‘

Your masti song selection was good, and you did well, the masti part could have been a little more, but overall very good...I would rate you overall as #2 here..

You should also do riyaaz and take care of your voice. It seems for a while that you have a cold or after effects of cold. You also should consider singing classical professionally...๐Ÿ‘

4.Raju- You have a very romantic voice and just that is enough to have girls swooning. In the classical round, you did good but the performance could have been better. Some of your ending notes were too abrupt, the alaap lacked something and the pauses were a bit long.Classical singing is tough๐Ÿ˜†. I feel your song selection was wrong. Its a lovely song no doubt about that.Choosing a Lataji song, was probably not the best idea. There are many songs in Yaman Kalyan, what made you choose this Lataji one?...its just my opinion and I may be wrong...๐Ÿ˜Š

You did good in the happy /masti song as expected... ๐Ÿ‘. Try cutting down on your pauses between mukhda and antara. The pause is OK when you have music, but when that is absent it kind of breaks the continuity...

Raju, best of luck...and please stick to romantic songs and motivational songs...you do full justice to them....๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.I would rate you as #3.๐Ÿ‘

With this round we conclude the series.

I would like to thank you all for making it so memorable...fabulous performances and some fabulous songs we got treated to...

Congratulations all of you, and best of luck... you all are winners...you have won our hearts....!!!!!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

OMG the results are out! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Adi - thanks! That is such a great compliment. I have somehow (god knows how ๐Ÿ˜›) managed to make people believe that I am good in classical songs ๐Ÿ˜† ... Better to establish in one genre than being called jack of all trades and ... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Chalo, if you say so, I will begin my riyaaz from today evening. Lekin you will have to invite me to your city for my classical performance .....Aakhir ROTI ka sawal hain ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜†

Great going Ashish! Wish you take the 1st spot in the final round ๐Ÿ‘ (as long as you share the prize money with all of us ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)

How about you all, sing some songs of your choice, with music w/o music and make us happy...rememebr the aap ki farmayish thread? instead of us giving songs...you select and sing.

I mean it from the bottom of my heart when i say you are too good in classical based songs..๐Ÿ‘

I had heard all the songs when they were first posted last week. I have not heard them since then so my comments are based on my recollection from last week. Forgive me if I make a mistake.

(1) Aparna - Your classical song just blew me away. You don't have a peer in this contest when it comes to this genre. I enjoyed your masti song too. At some points in the masti song, I felt it was just slightly different from how Asha has sung in the original. It was not besur at all, just slightly slightly different. However, I really could not find any technical fault in any of your songs.

(2) Seema - In my opinion, you are second best in the classical genre. Your kuhu kuhu was excellent. The murkiya/harkats were fantastic. I just felt that you went slightly off in the 'aa aa' just before the first 'chandrika' but I have heard it only once and I could be mistaken. Your masti song lacked a little bit of masti in my opinion. Technically, no problem. However, just a little more jhatka and masti were needed.

(3) Raju - You have a very sweet voice. However, as Tanaz said, I felt you went slightly off at a few places. Surprisingly, unlike the others who have commented, I don't have any complaints with your choice of classical song. However, I felt you could have chosen a song with more masti for the masti song (maybe 'Dil tera deewana hain sanam').

Best of luck to all of you.

This is the first time i'm commenting here and my role is more of a listener than a music expert so please don't take me much seriously.๐Ÿ˜Š

Ashish:

Semi classical: what a deep rounded voice you have and such a professional rendition of one of Rafi saab's difficult songs, excellent, fantastic kudos to you Ashish ji.

Masti: Again a perfect score, kya finishing, kya masti, and kya yodeling, kya breath control, wah wah lajawab, awwal number, the best performance of the final.

Aparna:

Semi classical song effortless & perfect singing, emotion, expression, notes all in place, on the whole very excellent.

Masti song: there is something mesmerizing in your voice that makes the song special, but I have one suggestion to make, while singing a lively song, just smile or think of something very funny and the rest will be piece of cake.

Seemai:

Classical song; the start could have been better, but you picked up well as you went further and got hold of the mood of the song, one more thing I think you can improve is the landing notes which I think could be more smoother rather than abrupt, overall very good ( might be as Adi pointed out the cold was the culprit).

Masti song: Eventhough everything was right the rhythm, sur, pronunciation, throw, still that masti was missing in your voice, it was sounding a bit tensed instead of fun & frolic, please take care.

Raju

Classical : You have an excellent unique smooth voice, kind of earthy folkish which can do wonders in all genres but what is required is the polishness and finishing touches which I feel were slightly lacking in the classical rendition, in totality it was good and the credit goes to your voice.

Masti song: One glaring mistake which marred an otherwise good performance was the pronunciation of Bhanwar which you didn't get properly and the other thing is the long pauses between two lines which affects the mood & flow of the song, your classical song was much better but anyways good luck.
