Seema, 😳 I am happy to know that you liked my song and singing and thankyou for all the kind words. But I truely don't deserve sooo much praise either 😳. May be its the Sardari Begum song that you like so much did the trick 😆 I really appreciate this feedback coming from a fellow contestant 👏 I will also listen to all songs and post my feedback soon. And I am quite sure that you would have done full justice to the kuhu kuhu song. Can't wait to listen to your, Raju & Ashish's songs ....

I don't think I have ever posted my feedback on other contestants before, but this time I would specifically like to comment on one finalist's singing . I heard Aparna's semi-classical song and was really a treat to my ears. I love all Sardari Begum songs , they are all very difficult to sing. Aparna was perfect in her singing in all areas, sur-taal has never been an issue for her but this song showed her voice is trained and she doesn't really have to struggle at any point to keep up with sur-taal. I like how smoothly she goes from lower note to higher and voice doesn't shake even a bit at higher notes. she sang the song such effortlessly, each murki, taan came out so well. really feel like giving her a standing ovation, what one would have done had this been happening live in studio. I am sure every listener feels the same. great job, Aparna!!

the first post was with lot of praise for u...... but the mods edited it out to post all songs there😆...... okk here is the praise as reprinted😆

Your voice has always been a treat to my ears and as the history states, you have occupied the number one position most of the times.... the semiclassical song was superb considering the range required for it and you were at ease.... I am a lucky person to have witnessed such a nice singing and be a part of this competition.....

I especially liked ur masti song because i cd really visualise the dance moves in the black and white era on that song..... that tone that music and that dance.... once in the world combo and i cd really visualise it.....

You have been just wonderful👏

I just heard Seemaji's and Aparnaji's semi-classical songs..Good job 👏

Seemaji, one small mistake I observed in one of the taans(I myself hv sung this song in numerous competitions, so remember the song properly). In the first antara, the taan goes like
'Sanidhama dhanisa, gama gamadhanisa, resare dhanisaresani saresani, dhanini dhanini dhani madhadha madhadha madha,garegamadhani..Saja shringara ritu aayi basanti...'

Instead of 'garegamadhani'(in the bold portion), u sang 'saregamadhani'. Otherwise, it was good.

Seema: Frankly when I saw that you had chosen "Kuhu kuhu bole koyaliya" I was too scared to listen to it! This is one song I can't bear to see anyone taking liberties with. But Seema you carried yourself so well! I really want to applaud you for not only taking up one of the most difficult classical songs in Hindi films but also doing minimum damage to it! In fact, you sang both the first and 2nd second ragas quite well. Only Chandrika was a little flawed. Even Sarasa Raat Man Bhaaye Priyatama was well done.

In the masti song, I would have liked to see more masti otherwise no mistakes in sur. The song you selected is a good one. You deserve to be in the Finals and you are giving good competition to other singers.

Aparna: In classical songs, I doubt if anyone can beat you for your finesse and technique. You are like a finished product with the raw edges polished off. The only problem I always have is with the song choice. This is the first time I heard this song from Sardari Begum and somehow I feel that as a composition, this one lags behind the great compositions made by the dead and departed composers. If you were in my gharana I would have made you sing "Manamohana badey jhoote" from Seema. Otherwise your singing left nothing to be desired!

In the masti song, the song selection is great. But I just got the feeling that you made it seem a little too classical than a masti bhara song. I mean, if you hear the original, though there is a sargam interlude (pamagamaregapamagama), it is not done in a classical style and it is sung in such a way that it really uplifts the spirits. Asha's chhed chhhad and Rafi's romantic voice are what we will remember in this song. I wish your voice had more chhed-chhad than the classical finish in this song.

Ashish: Excellent singing! You sang Man Tadpat very well. When I first heard from the speakers I felt that the bass was too much but when I heard over the headphones, it sounded right. I also liked the way you ended the song. Altogether a song befitting the finale and your best to date.

In the masti song, I again loved your choice - very unusual and appealing. I wish you sang it a note higher because I think that's how it is in the original when Asha starts the song and then Kishore joins. I love your yodelling, you do it extremely well!

👏 👏 👏 to all of you for displaying superb form in the Finale and raising its standard. May God bless all of you for giving us so much joy with your singing.

Have listened to u all and hv come to the conclusion that this is maybe the best round of our own contest. Thanx a lot to all four of u for treating us with such lovely renditions. 😊

Aparna your views infact hv opened a new window of thought...maybe we can use this talent of u all for some fun and entertainment in the section.Who would not luv to listen to u all again? Your classical song....perfect technically. 👏

And thanx to Seema too....I was not sure if u will agree to sing Kuhu Kuhu but that u did so has really touched me. and u really did very well. 👏 Somewhere or the other i had this faith that u can do it. 😊 Infact i would like to point out one thing....you are not technically perfect in the song but it is your Kuhu Kuhu that actually touched me this time.U hv sung it so sweetly.. 👏

Raju well i think I'll now give him a call and talk to him....he is the one who maybe got the most flaking from me 😆 But even u hv done well with the Lata number. It was a very difficult song to attempt. U did justice to it. 👏

Ashish......your voice i hv always found to be very soothing. And the way u rendered the classical....just awesome. 👏

Thanks to everybody for their generous feedback. I am definitely going to miss this contest. It was a lot of fun for me and also a learning experience. I was afraid of trying out certain genres and this contest compelled me to do it. I found that I am actually not that bad in those genres either.
And I hope everybody is geared up for the grand finale of the real SRGMP. I just cast my vote an hour ago. Unlike the C2005 finale, I don't have any strong allegiance this time although I favor Amanat and Raja by a hair over Aneek.
