You are correct, he was the only mentor who has given standing ovation to Hema, other two were just sitting there. Do you think AS was supporting Hema, no way, he was supporting Himani only. And all these regional vote or whatever issue he has raised was to fight with ID, save Himani first and then dividig people between East and North to gain vote for Vinit. AS has never given Hema good songs from movie like Taal. It is ID who has given him songs from Lagaan in mentor's choice and then we could know real worth of Hema. I wish if Hema would be in ID gharana. We know Debojit was not a good singer in the beginning, but see the change now. Now ID is entirely different people. Just imagine if you are mentor and sitting beside HR and HR is doing all those antics, what will you do? I will either SLAP HR or sit there in confusion. And ID is just sitting there in confusion because he can not SLAP HR in public.

i have always been a huge fan of id
but he has started dissapointing me since the last few weeks
ID HAS BECOME A HUGE HYPOCRITE
this interview and the last few episodes are a clear proof of his behavior
in this interview he has clearly stated that vinit is weaker than hema and even debojit
then why the hell has he realised it now when the show has reached to its finals and vinit is competing against debo
i agree that vinit has some shortcomings but why is such a great music director like him realising now that hema is better than vinit
id has given vinit more marks than hema always
this double sided behavior has hurt me and must have hurt all his fans a lot

Aajkal kya hain na ki, bollywood mein bhi gharaane ban gaye hain...rafi gharaana, KK gharaana etc. Because there are so many people who learn music listening to their idols, and try their best to get the tonal quality and style like them. So ID may be true, its not comparison its the school he is referring to. Offcourse hema is also not in the league of KJY.

my 2 cents about ID is , that he is a genuine person but the problem starts when he tried to get smaat on things which he shouldn't be. Like when tried to get in HR's teritory of canvassing his candidate, peppy talks , he failed miserably...and the problem is that, he feels that he very knowledgable in the field of music..which is 100 % true..good to have that confidence..he is one of those gifted person , who can understand music even though they are not formally trained..He might have got some training but he learnt about music on the job. so whenever he speaks about music, that arrogance reflects...however the problem is that he thinks that he can be good at other things also , which he is not..that why he gives conflicting opinions..and people misread him.i think the sooner he realise, the better is for him....

Regarding not giving points to HEMA, is a mystery.We are trying to come up with all those reasons...i just cant think of anything which matches any logic..It was very evident that he never gave good marks to HEMA. it will remain msytery but i can bet that he didnt do it intentioanlly...he far to simple to think about it..and even if he did it intentioanlly, i think it would been have one of those little incidents where he did go wrong..but after all he is a human being..regarding a complete 360 degree turn on vinit , i think that the only reason, when vinit said he knows about music during the walk out, it must have hurted ID like anything....Id is a simple person but he has got high esteem , and i think he could not digest that.....

To give them some credit, I think the other two AS & HR were tensed since
they didn't know whether their respective gharana contestant were in or out!

AS has been as transparent as air. His hatred for ID came thru. His expressions when DEbo sang, when ID praised him, were all very apparent. Yes, he thought Himani was going to win, eps after Nihira's outster, so he was backing her up at Hema's cost. He started praising Hema only after Himani went out. Vinit was hyped, Himani was hyped,ID woke up a little later, but eventually Debo got hyped, more thanks to regionalism, Assam ki voice , walkout. Hema was always left high and dry.

Well ID gave Hema 8 for his Lagaan song while giving Vinit 9 for the other Lagaan song. You are telling me he was being fair? Gimme a break!! They are almost all the same. If he gave him a standing ovation, it was because of Subhas Ghais' gesture.... MY Humble opinion
