It is really sad to see Vinit,Himani and Hema leaving the show. I agree with many viewers that you have to accpet challange at any point. Winning SaReGaMaPa is definitely a milestone but not everything. If some one is talented, no matter whether he/she is a winner of a show like this is going to win millions' heart because of his/her quality. Nihira is a good example of that. She will definitely be a star tomorrow. She has every ingredient to be a good play back singer. She is a good singer and a good human being. She is very mature and can accept defeat in the same spirit.
Vinit, Hema and Himani have no right to insult public. They should remember, it is public who will make them famous. I agree that regionalism is bad. However, I strongly disagree the way they expressed that they are better than Debu. All of them have many week points like Debu. Most important of all is, who are they to judge other competitor's quality? HR and Adeshji showed their real skin color. They are pointing about regional voting. How about Hema? The day he was in the bottom three, his dad clearly told the Zee Network that people from SOUTH are pouring their votes for Hema. Did Adeshji say anything on that day? Why did not Vinit and Himani walk out that very day? I agree with ID that the brain behind this were Adeshji and HR. The moment they saw Debu was top they decided to leave. It is a shame. They cannot be considered as mentor. ID was right when he said that he never did favoritism to his students. That is why he went and gave Vinit his very first earning after the beautiful performance. Himeshji never showed that gesture to Debu. Mnetors should realise that SaReGaMaPa is not the entire music world. Encouraging a good talent will benefit every music director. They should not think about what gharana a singer belongs. If they are biased about their fellow, why they expect regional public will be unbiased. I think the best way to select a talent is to have a blend selection process. You cannot avoid public. Making a selection platform having a blend of public voting, and a panel of notable singers and music composers is a better way of selecting talents. Of last, I can say all these singers have many strong points and few weak points. Let all of us including mentors consider the strong points and judge about how flexible and diverse a singer is. That I think is a healthy way. No ugly fighting and no drama of quitting. Contestants' only aim is to sing. Clever tactic cannot be the ladder for achieving the goal.
Kids can do mistake but not the guru.

what will happen now?
three little stupids went out and do they tink they are very smart?
I think after Himani Vinit should be out. I was thinking Hem is real good but think he is also scared of compittion. but now public should shame ful because they did n't ote Nihira. now it is very clear that Nihira is best and she should be the India's voice and these three .

let's see if vineet can attempt to sing the qawali number that debojit sang!!! ...and see how many mistakes he will make... 😉

they should make all of them sing the same song in different categories-folk, classical, and filmi 😆

I think these kids were courageous to stand upto it and I applaud them---and also they are not like Debo, trying to create sympathy waves in each show talking about his ailing father or his passed away mother's dream..every contestant on the stage has his/her parents dream to make them proud so ask Debo to stop crying and creating emotional drama...

Ismail darbar didn't quit because he did not have strong contender, he quit because despite of a very good performance metors did not give him the credit he deserved, only Jatin gave him 9 which he fully derserved. Mind you Ishq Ishq is one the most difficult semi-classical song, song simelteneously by 4 singers (Manna Day/Rafi/Asha etc), and Debu snag it solo with all the aalaps etc. were fantastic, you people got to listen to this song to know what Debu deserves. So ismail did it right by quitting when he saw other fellow mentors are not fair in their judgement, you may recall he have said all the good things for Vineet, Himani etc even though they are not from his gharana, nothing like that from other mentors, instead Himesh openly saif he didn't believed in Debu and Aadesh said Debu is not a bad singer..com'on you don't appreciate someone like this saying negative things so definitely Ismail was 100% correct in leaving and then coming back, as with him gone they would have definitely made Debu to quit.

Sa re ga ma pa Challenge 2005 says it is going to give India "The Voice of India" by the end of the contest. It never says the winner of this contest is the best singer of India (anyway there is no solid definition of "best singer". Who is the best among Md Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey?). Even, it does not say that the winner is the best among the lot that went for the first audition. Some rules have been set for the competition and someone or the other will win following those rules. All others will bow out of the competition at some point or the other. It is probably good for the show if the better singer bows out at a later stage of the competition. However, one should always keep in mind that it might not happen all the time, because ...

Once the rules are set, I believe, the participants are free to do anything (without breaking the rules of course) to win the competition (be it Vineet's love story or Debojit's late mother). For people who are worried about the fairness of the competition, "fairness" means "not breaking the rules".

The point is:

1) One might not like a certain result - but just take it, because you have accepted the rules in the beginning

2) Gajendra et al. sets the rules. We, as a viewer of the show, probably can give him some feedback on that. However, I think, his decision is the final one. If I like it I will watch the show, if I do not like it I will not watch the show.

In this regard, a jury of 10-12 is a good idea. However, that would probably be too expensive for Gajji:) Also, since there is nothing called "best singer" as such, in this case also, towards the end of the competition, there will be decisions that some people would like and others won't. Singing is a very subjective thing and it is completely useless to try to single out "the best" (in whatever sense). The world population of Hindi speaking people would be nearly 1.5 billion. You are trying to find a single "best" among them? Finding even a group of 10 best (best in its real sense) is impossible. Singing quality-wise there were at least 10 contestants who were better than Rajeev from Chamba who left the competition before Rajeev. There used to be judges at that time, not public voting. I heard Aishwarya (Himesh's student) only once, but till today I feel that he was probably the "best" among the male singers. The other thing is that you cannot compare male voice with female voice. Whatever, the point is ... I have already said it.

Hema actually made fool out of Vineet, Hema knew he could be out next as Vineet was always safe and he was declared second as well, while on stage he made Vineet do most of the talking and remained silent to make villain out of Vineet, so what happens next, people will think Hema is a good guy but this whole khichadi is cooked by him and Vineet will be voted out for his now negative publicity, of course he did went over the line by saying he is better than Debu, and for those who haven't seen SAREGEMAPA earlier, Debu have beaten Vineet fair and square, that's how he became wild card contestent in challehe 2005, no voting, no Assam, no ULFA, judges were Pundit Jasraj, Chitra, Biddu, he did it once with is talent and he will do it again with public support. am not sure how Vineet can even say he is better when Debu have already beaten him once.

Its plain simple that the best singers so far have been
these three along with Nihira. Debojit simply is not in their league. I feel it is unfair to criticize these three as they definately felt that Debojit should have been eliminated and took this decision due to this injustice. I have always felt that Indian Public do not always judge on merit / regionalism plays a big part.
Take whatever field be it Politics , Sports or anything else. We as a country are too divided and our views are
biased.

Balbir

Not sure what do you mean by Debu is not their league, he has beaten Vineet fair and square, not sure if you know this, have you seen earlier episodes of saregama before challege 2005 started, this is how he became wild card entry, judges were renouned unbiased musicians, pundit Jasraj, Chitra, Biddu.

I have seen only couple of episodes in sa rega ma pa challenge 2005. I see hell lot of difference comparing to previous years shows. This year is total emotional drama rather than competion. I don't want to say a word about the compitetors as they are perfect. The mentors ruining the show, making this program a big drama rather than a competition. First of all mentors are not sportive and asking(begging) for votes every other minute. Everybody should vote for talent not for their background, family problems, parents dreams or for mentors. Get rid of these mentors and make the show clean.
