We always thought that it has better quality singers than Sony's Indian Idol or Gurukul. But, after watching the show on 23rd January 2006 we were highly dissapointed. Atleast the challengers in those shows were able to accept their defeat but here, Himani, Hemachandra and Vineet consider themselves to be stars even before people have recognized them. All this fiasco does have some reasons and the biggest reason according to us is disclosing the percentage of votes each participant got from different regions of India. Don't they consider North-East, Gujarat, Mumbai, etc. to be a part of the whole INDIA? Then why differentiating them on the basis of the number of votes received? If people, from North-East (so called Debojit fans), are more aware or are willing enough to involve themselves than the rest of India then I think its not their problem but someone else'e. What one lady among the audience said for assamese people was not good .... isn't Assam a part of India?
By behaving like this these three contestants are showing what they feel and that is, the audience is a bunch of fools and doesn't understand anything. Didn't they know that in the end only one was going to be the winner and not these three together. This was very shamefule on their part.
Among the mentors Adesh Srivastva never praises any other contestant other than from his gharana, same goes for Himesh Reshammiya. Ismail Darbar is a nice person who says what he feels but he should not always refer Nihira's case. There was no injustice but just misfortune that she had to leave.

I agree with Vineet, Himani & Hema to walk out. The whole public voting is a farce, it should not be allowed. There should be 10 to 12 judges who know what music is and their votes should be the deciding factor.

Its plain simple that the best singers so far have been
these three along with Nihira. Debojit simply is not in their league. I feel it is unfair to criticize these three as they definately felt that Debojit should have been eliminated and took this decision due to this injustice. I have always felt that Indian Public do not always judge on merit / regionalism plays a big part.
Take whatever field be it Politics , Sports or anything else. We as a country are too divided and our views are
biased.

Excellent topic. We all know that there is a problem with voting and I personally think that it took guts for Himani, Vineet and Hemachand to step up and say they quit. Unfortunately, all this really shows that we are wasting such good talent in India. We have actually made a facade of the whole SAREGAMA PA-we are playing with the emotions of these budding artists. And to my complete surprise Himani is off the show-man that girl can sing. It is really sad to see all the lovely talent go to waste. 😭

I just wanted to make one point. It is no more a musical show rather than it has become Vineet's love story etc. Mr Himesh, it is not fair to back only one candidate. I remember you were doubting Paresh and Ujjaini while all there were belonging to same gharana.

I think first off- we need to realize that Gajji singh never anticipated all this inn the coming and I am not sure about what precautions have been taken to avoid duplication of Votes.... hence there is a chance of an error.....

secondly the three contestants walking out is ridiculous. They cant blame a region for voting more. no one stopped their regions from doing so. and all along the voiting did have the regional base. so why crib about it now...... you knew all this right in the beginingf.

also for each contestant it was not a good display of their mannerisms. rememeber none of them is a star yet and yet we see them behaving like ones. The entire country has seen each ones real talent. Winning or loosing this contest is not going to make a big diff to thier respective careers. Those who ahve to see them ahve already seen them and took notice of them. This is not at all good behaviour on thier part. if at all they had to bring it out they had thier mentors who have treated them like their own kids. This only shows that they have no regard to their GURUS and are willing to di regard them.

I think this show should not get into public voting and should use maestros like Pandit Jasraj, Hari Prashad Chaurasiya etc,, to judge these singers along with the other noted personalities like music directors etc....

the public voting ahs turned this into a typical Indian elections scene. When you enter you have no complaints. when you see yourslef loosing then you start talking about malpracticies.

This is not the first time that Debojit has been on the top. Why did they keep quite then? all this indicates that they were not bothered about such a trend unless it really hit them personally....

I dont completely agree with the three declaring to walk out. They shud have accepted the challenge. But anyways...according to me...they have an excuse. They are children. But what excuse does ID have...for walking out of the show last week? Aren't the mentors supposed to rate Debo's song based on how he sang that day or are they supposed to assume the fact that he generally sings well and give him more points just based on that idea? ID's reaction to this is not correct.

Adeshji's reaction of saying that Debo got 80% votes from NE is also not correct.

HR made a fuss out of vineet's love story. He made that into a vote winning strategy. This is stupid.

On the whole the mentors set a very bad example for their students.

While Gajendra Singh deserves kudos for discovering new talent, he also needs to be admonished for dividing the country on regional basis. By adopting the public voting system which was extermely stupid, all he did was encourage factionalism and regionalism. It was so evident in the last series when the public openly started catigating each other. The climax scene was Debojit's wife arguing with Vinit's Dad. the whole basis of public voting was stupid and poorly conceived. Gajendra singh should have forseen this happening. Is a civil war on the offing?

It was pathetic of three contestants. Do they they they are the best singers if compared himani with Nihira was the top most best singer. If Debo is not a good singer people are not fool just to vote seeing he is from Assam. Everybody wants the singer from that state to win, if we see Hemachandra he gets vote only from south, Thats not the way to when ur participating it shows they cunning and bad mentality. Am sorry to say these two mentors Adeshji and Himesh, Himesh is worried about vineeth love to make his love success we have to vote. Why not vote for Debo to full fuill his mom's dream. Have ethical behaviour when ur in the seat of being a judge and mentor act according to it dont act like a cheap person. Think big !
Ismal darbar always encouraged other participants even they lost he gave hopes to them saying i will make u sing in my movie he never discouraged.
