Vijay, talking of browsers and performance, I think IE is the worst, especially with all its security problems and cookie issues.
Firefox is much better, but I personally prefer the Opera browser. first, it is lightweight, very fast, with excellent ways to manage cookies (if you are like me, you could set it to delete cookies when you exit from the browser). One interesting feature is the convert to speech ability, wherein it will read out on your speaker the selected text being displayed, This has a downside, as the mixed Hindi and Englis words sound funny.
If you looking for speed and security, I feel Opera is way ahead. The only problem with it is that it does not behave correctly if there is an Activex control on the page.

Thanks for the information, Vijay.
I've been using firefox for quite a while now. Sometimes I have problems surfing I-F through FF but still i use it often. It is a lot better than IE.

Thanks for the info Vijay. Opera was my default web browser, even though I have a personalized version of IE which I use for lightweight browsing. Opera was my heavy duty browser due to virus issues with IE. However on Saturday my daughter unwittingly went on Hindi Ranks web site and clicked something making real player which was open at the time the default browser. I tried everything but could not alter that error, hence had to download mozilla as my default even though I still have IE.

The advantage that FF has over Opera is the tab windows as I also had a prob switching from Opera to IE to access the windows I was using. I noticed the slow loading but so far I am enjoying Moz.

Wouldn't mind knowing though how I can correct the problem with Opera so that it doesn't open in real player.

Mitali, firstly you can also have tabbed browsing in Opera. just needs a change in settings. About your problem with Opera, can you PM me the exact problem. I may be able to offer a solution.
