Narottam - The open renouncement

I have so much to say about his brief appearance in the precap today. He said it. He said it! He said it!!!!!!!! Narottam has openly renounced Sudha. This is the perfect timing for it.

With Ladoo's kidnapping, Narottam had slowly started to turn on Sudha. Then Purushottam gets killed and Sudha starts scaring Ladoo more and we see Narottam distancing himself from Sudha more. Yesterday he cried thinking Anami was dead and angrily left Sudha, slamming the door in her face when she laughed at Anami's death.

Now thinking about his mindset, he's seen the worst of his mother. His mother, who was brought into the house and promised a better life by his younger step-sibling Anami. His mother, who he saw as the victim. His mother, who claimed Narottam and Purushottam are everything for her. Everything he thought about his mother is different from everything he's seen.

On the other hand, there's the LM wasis and Anami. They are who they claim to be. Yes LM hates him, but they do so openly. Yes Anami cares for him and she does so openly. There's nothing hidden. When she asked him to sign the paperwork, he saw the pain in her eyes on having to choose one brother over the other. When she ran away he saw the pain etched on her face on having to leave, but he understood it. She's who she said she is.

For Narottam to finally come out and renounce Sudha, it's a big step. It means Sudha's days in LM are numbered. There's still a long way for Narottam to go from openly renouncing Sudha to openly revealing her plans and finally proving that Satrupa didn't do anything that Anami blames her for doing, but still he's heading that way. And I'm loving it!

Of all the characters in RKC, I feel the CVs have given the best characterization and character curve to Narottam. And Akash Gill is doing a marvelously fabulous job in the portrayal. The small nuances add so much to the character.

P.S. I posted this in Shruthi's thread originally, but I felt there's so much to discuss on Narottam that I would open a separate topic on him as well. 😊

Narrotam finally cut the umbilical chord today I think.

His transformation is done so smoothly and with few scenes, kudos to Gill.👏

I had my doubts about his intention when he helped Anami to flee.

I wished they had shown more of his inner conflicts and divided loyalties before his change.

I hope Narottam is able make a place in LM because of his own merit. Not because he exposes Sudha or is seen to be with Anami. The actor is the best among them all I think.Next only to Narayani sherry. Hope to see more of him in the coming episodes.

Sudha had been terribly wronged by Baldev and party. I can't forget the scene where Gayatri handed her over to those men from the asylum.

True, but she has also meted more than her share of wrong. In all this Narottam is like atta. Chaki mein pees gaya. Do parivaron ke beech uski bali chaar gayi.

I have a feeling that Sudha has confessed that she was instrumental in the fire at Anami's house and he overheard her. hence the reaction. Am not sure though.

Hey then Sudha had escaped from Asylum and came to LM. Gayatri just helped the hospital staff to take her back to the hospital. I am not saying Gayatri might not have wronged Sudha but that situation was not that.

Narottam used to be somewhat grey. He could have become totally grey.
But he chose to do otherwise.

Hope he wont be manipulated again.

@Bold:Exactly my thoughts..His Change felt a bit abrupt to me..they should have shown more focus on Narottam, the actor and character deserves it..but nevertheless I am happy for this change..he is my most fav character..An ounce of concern/care from anami and he is changed,i wonder to what extent he must have suffered for him to be this much thirsty for love and care.😭😭
I want Anami to help narottam to be the heir and she go backs to Banaras and live a happily ever after with her loving family..N I hope satrupa grows as a mother and learns it's not always about blood, finds a sahara in narottam and he finds a mother figure in her(Dil ka rishta like Anami and Panditayein).
