it was tough writing this chapter *sigh* kind of messed up at the start

Chapter - 2
Ananya's POV :
'may i come in sir' I asked before taking a deep breath
'yes miss kashyap' he replied his gaze fixed at some random file on the table. I entered his cabin taking slow deliberate steps.
'vo sir ek lead mili hai, ek party mai...'
'I'm sorry miss Kashyap i'm in a hurry share your story with Malvika' he stood up from his chair and without ever bothering to look at me once left his cabin. I furrowed my brows in pure disbeleif. Same old Kabir Sharma. Same old ;and closed my eyes . After telling malvika I stormed out of the office . I turned my head skywards to stop tears forming at the back of my eyes, i slowly wiped them away and dialled Sunny's no.
Kabir's POV :
'What do you mean she's not responding to any calls'
'Yes ma'am we are trying to contact her through wireless too'
I heard Malvika and Ronny talking and the next second i knew this wwas aboutAnanya .
'who's missing' i inquired Malvika
'Ananya.she got some info about an alleged case of drugs ond human trafficking in the south est area'
My jaw dropped suddenly and i could conclude Malvika was shocked to see my even more shocked expression.
'And you let her go'I asked bile raising up my throat.
'No Kabir, don't, don't act like i have done something wrong; that's what reporters do that's her job and if she is not able to take these few dangers than she need not to ba a reporter' Malvika replied with a warned expression her eyebrows scrunching up above her lids, she was disgusted seeing me worried for Ananya . i replied with a mere you shouldn't have let her go alone atleast and stormed out . Suddenly what happened exactly 5 years ago started replaying in my head over again and again. No way in hell i was gonna let that happen again i would rather die. This was all my fault shit.shit.shit How can i behave so immature why i didn't listened to her ? what the hell is even wrong with you Kabir ? why are you acting like a emotional mess ? my conscience roared .
Once i reached the place i got out of my car hurriedly and started climbing the stairs missing two at a time and headed towards the front door pushing it under with my fingers, there were masses of people totally wasted in a large hall which was filled with the disgusting smell of sweat and alcohol. But something was wrong nobody was dancing they were talking instead.
'koi reporter hai shayd'
'hogi ...yaar par kya mast item hai' i heard two men talking and i wanted to slap them . But finding Ananya seemed more important to me at the moment. I knew i had made a grave mistake to not listen to her..but how can anyone think of her to be so stupid ? to come to a place like this alone ? I was repenting.
That's when i heard the voice i wanted to hear most at that moment
'What do you want? get away from me' Ananya shouted anger evident in her voice. Finally I shoved through enough bodies until i could see her; and i shuddered seeing a guy making her drink something. I SWEAR TO GOD...
All i knew was that my ears were ringing from the hot pounding of blood in my brain as soon as i saw that prick touching her..the guy's eye widened in fear as he saw me. He backed off slowly but it was too late i was going to kill him and that was final.
There was a satisfying crunch as my fist connected with his face, he stumbled back tripping on his feet. I was on him before he could get up. I could hear shouts around me but i didn't care.
He'd hurt my girl and he was going to pay😳
My hand wrapped around his neck it was so easy to crush his windpipe .so darn easy.
I stiffened when i heard her shrill voice
'Kabir sir'
It was her,Ananya. and she was safe. she was safe . I thanked god
'Please let him go,please' how can i not listen to her ? she was too good to be refused, i let him go and in the meantime the police arrrived and every one started running in order to escape. I grasped her wrist tightly and started to pull her out of the crowd.
'But sir..hamari news ka kya?' only she could say something this stupid at times like this which made my blood boil even more.
'Seriously Ananya ? dimaag kharab hogya hai na tumhara ? aur tamasha chaiye tumhe ?'
'but' she retorted
'Listen Ananya either i take you out of here or i'll end up hurting a lot of people. Pick any option i'm happy with both'
she gulped and took a step back. I think i just scared her.
